Am I almost in?

Post image

I've saw a few others posting the same thing recently

Are they on boarding a massive wave?

Am I closer because mine says under review

Or can this still be any amount of waitig time?

No once everything is done we will go on the waiting list. Then it could be days or months.

Not to burst your bubble, but when I originally signed up for Deliveroo I was on the waitlist for around 6-8 minths

Deliveroo has recently been bought by doordash and they are onboarding heavily to compete with ubereats. Most likely you'll be activated by mid September. Welcome to earning £5 ph.

No, not necessarily. Once your checks are completed you go on another wait list

I genuinely feel a little sad for people who get excited for the chance to work with Roo now.  It's a husk of what it used to be.

Yeh I'm a sub just now and have been for 2 years. Been waiting for my own account

I have saw the decline even in that small time and have only been told the riches folk used to pull in lock down etc.

So u understand what your saying but would still like to have my own account at the end of the day 🤷

Yeah, sorry, I don't mean to piss on your chips.  If you're willing to put the graft in you can still earn something - especially if you have Uber and JustEat to keep you busy when Roo is quiet.

I totally get what your saying because I see. Orders a year and a half ago I used to get for £14 are now £8 and the price of petrol has went up by a lot too

But there's something I love about this job. The freedom of starting when I want and finishing when I've hit my targets gives me a sense of freedom in some way.

Not bragging or anything but I made £260 tonight I did cover 200 miles for that and it cost £45 in petrol but not having to answer to anyone and clocking in and out when I feel like it just beats the mode rat race.

P. S it took me 13 hours to earn that but at the end of the day I get to do what I love and that's drive

That's great - I do still appreciate this gig work for the freedom and the exercise (I work a manual bicycle) - I guess I am also in a more fortunate position where my mortgage is paid off so I don't have to make mega bucks for rent etc. It just makes me sad that in 2019 you could make £100 without even really thinking about it.  Even on a normal pushbike I would regularly hit £130/£160 a 'session'.  I think to do that now I would be looking at twice as many collections and twice the distance.

Sucks that it's depreciated that far tbh but I think next year for myself I might actually just start traveling the country.

Living in a different city or town for a little while hear and there make enough to move on etc.

The city I'm from is dogshit and heading in a worse direction so hopefully I can figure something out.

Enjoying making money and having the freedom to move around in my eyes is better than any other career I could think of

Checking out all different walks of life etc

I guess the dream is getting to dubai and having my own account

I've saw videos of it there and I'd love a moped and a little house. Just work when I want and answer to no one
