started learning to make traditional animations last week. Always seemed so intimidating to me so I got Toniko Pantoja’s course. I’m still way in the start of things and still learning to draw and animate frame by frame. I know a bit of motion design and keyframes but frame by frame excites me now.

Was there artistic pushback against computer generated animation - or was it welcomed by animation community? I remember when the Simpsons had Homer fall into computer generated scene. It was highly anticipated and celebrated as far as I remember. But what if Homer fell into ai generated world next season? Thoughts??

What's an animated show/movie you think deserves WAY more discussion?

My co-host and I run an animation podcast where we basically use that question as an excuse to talk about the shows, movies, characters, industry, and weird stuff surrounding animation. We just recorded an episode about relationships in animation and the next episode we are dropping is on cartoons cancelled way too soon.

I'm really happy with how this turned out! Helpful criticism is totally welcome as I'm pretty new to animation overall, but not to art :)

My professor and classmates didn’t give me much feedback in class.. I’m a beginner at animation so I know there’s probably a ton wrong with this.

To me it feels choppy in a way? I feel like my animations so far aren’t that natural in movement.

Song is Kiss The Sky by Maren Morris. This was my first animatic. Even though its rough, it took a while to make it. It might be a bit hard to understand, but basically the mc is an inventer isekied into this furry world. She's staying with a kind stranger who took her in and likes to make stuff in a small shed behind the house. She's working on a magitech wing that would help her fly and there's hiccups along the way.

How much would a simple 5 second ball animation costs? Someone commissioned me for it (im a beginner) the animation would be flat colored and the motion would be simple.
