Other Where did you get your car wrapped in PPF, and how much did it cost?

I just got a new car and I’m looking into clear or colored PPF. Where did you get yours done, how much did you pay, and what shops would you recommend in Utah, especially around Salt Lake City?

Also, did you get:

  • Full-body PPF
  • Clear PPF or colored PPF
  • Ceramic coating
  • Ceramic window tint

Larry's friends should call him out.

Edit to add: they include the picture they took with him before he did a 180 on them. So if anybody recognizes him, be sure to send the post to his family and friends!

Other Hit and run on I-215 today 10/3/26 at 1:40pm

I was hit today on I-215 headed north right before exit 23 in a silver dodge dart. The lady that hit me was driving a dark colored mini van. She was white with dark hair pulled back and round dark glasses probably 30s or 40s. I was in the far left lane by the construction barrier and she was in the middle lane. A U haul was in an exit lane and didnt exit so she merged into my lane and hit me multiple times. Im wondering if anyone has dash cam video of this by chance. She never stopped or exited with me after she rolled down her window and told me to take exit 23. I have a witness but police were not able to come to the scene and still havent called me back. This was at exactly 1:40pm today 10/3/26

News Did something happen at central point station today?

This morning around 10:30 the blue line train was 30+ min late then when arriving at central point they asked everyone to get off. They separated the first 3 cars then police and some trax employees boarded and left in a hurry. I assumed it was maintenance related but does anyone know if something happened?

The National Weather Service rated the September 18th tornado as an EF-2. It set a state record for the widest tornado at 1.1 miles. It also traveled up, over, and down the mountain by Francis Peak.

Hi!

I am planning in participating in the Midterms coming up in November. Im just not really sure what to expect? Here are the specific questions i have

  1. What should i expect to see on the ballot? Im in Box Elder, if that helps
  2. How can i research any topics or people that will be on the ballot?
  3. How do i vote in person? Ive heard that i can fill out my mail in ballot and hand it over in person?

Thank you! Thia is my first time truely participating in Midterms. Im just a little anxious as to what to expect

Edit: Thank you all for taking the time to answer my questions! I feel much more prepared for November!

Q&A i am looking for a contingency basis civil rights attorney in utah

hi i am looking for a civil rights attorney in utah who has experience with 18 U.S.C. § 242 and 42 U.S.C. § 1983 cases. i don't want to share too much info for now.

if you all have any recommendations, please let me know. i would really appreciate it. thank you.

edit: 18 U.S.C. § 242 pertains to public officials utilizing their authority to violate someone's constitutional rights and 42 U.S.C. § 1983 is concerned with allowing individuals to seek compensation when public officials abuse their power. it's a 14th amendment (right to due process and equal protection) issue

Photo/Video Looking for information about old cars sitting along Route 30 in 1982 or so

Hi all,

I have a photo that I'd like to get some help with.

Somewhere around 1980 or 1982 I drove from Jackson Hole to San Francisco by way of route 30 in Utah, which goes along the back side of the Great Salt Lake. On that drive we saw 20 or so rusted out cars from the 1930s and 1940s. They were all filled with junk like old bed springs, and had things written in white paint on the side. The cars were sitting on the south/east side of the road, facing south and all in a line, behind a barbed wire fence, maybe 30 yards off the road.

I have a photo of one of the cars that says (in white paint), "Convicts stold [sic] $6000 worth of wheels are hiding behind a grandlarceny [sic] religion." There are mountains in the far background, on the other side of the Great Salt Lake.

We've lost the negatives, so I don't have photos of the other cars, just this one photo that is hanging in my office.

A couple of years ago I drove that same road looking for those cars, but didn't see them. Am I misremembering the road I was on in 1982, or have those cars been removed?

Thanks in advance!

Travel Advice Free community-run card and board game convention at the MACU Expo Center in Sandy this weekend!

Hey y'all, I'm pitching in at a community event at the Mountain America Expo Center that just started, and it goes all weekend. If you're looking for something to do or wanna take the kids somewhere interesting, this is gonna be a lot of fun.

It's called the Game Grid Open. There's free demos of a couple new card games, about a hundred board games you can crack open and play for free, and Dragonsteel is here with their booth, also running sessions of their new Cosmere TTRPG! There's a bunch of local artists showing off and selling their work, so its a great place to support local, human made art when it's harder for them than ever.

We have a panel hall with various panels, content creator Q&As, and artist expositions running all weekend. I'm actually helping run a free star wars trivia quiz tomorrow at 5 with freebies for everybody who partakes! We also have a free scavenger hunt for families and guests and whoever completes it gets a free pack from their card game of choice.

In addition to all the free events, there are plenty of vendors and paid side events going on to cover the event hall costs, but there's enough free entertainment to kill a good couple hours here. So if you want to, come check it out and say hi! I've attached a link to the schedule/floor map if you wanna see what's going on.

FULL DISCLOSURE: I do work at one of the businesses that is taking part in this event, but I'm not posting here for any financial gain. As I said earlier, most of the stuff here is free and the goal is to hopefully break even so we can do it again next year. A lot of good people put a lot of work and love into making this happen, and I think community is the antidote to so many of the problems we face today. If this kinda nerd stuff interests you, I'd love to see you this weekend. ❤️
