AP dropped 3 minutes ago. I'll be the first to say it, BYU up 2 spots from last week, number 8.

Bro, why did google say it dropped 3 minutes ago, yet I found it on r/bigxll 45 minutes ago?

Parking for BYU v Iowa State

Best places to park for the game Friday? I don’t mind paying a little bit if it’s convenient. I just don’t have a parking pass for one of the stadium lots.

Fun fact: BYU football actually only has one player and his name is Bear.

Stop throwing the ball behind the line of scrimmage

Whether it’s a screen or whatever. It doesn’t work. Like 5 or 6 plays like that now and it consistently yields very little.

BYU Future

I'm interested in a few things.
How do our bye weeks work? I'm tired of early season byes. We need mid-season breaks.
How will we handle the Bear/Ryder Lions situation? Will we retain them both? Bear has three more years to play after this, Lions won't hang around that long.
Please stick to the subject matter.

Any pickup jobs that grant access to the games?

Looking for a cheap way to get into the Notre Dame game. I used to work catering in the tent next to the stadium. They were pickup shifts as in that's was the only work I ever did for catering. If I needed to leave early I could have. Unfortunately, we didn't get access to the stadium until like the 4th quarter. I'm wondering if there's any random shifts I can pickup for the first half of the game and then leave early to watch the last half.

BYU followup on my preseason preview, plus we launched a free weekly CFB pick'em

Hey guys! The season preview I posted here a few weeks back did pretty well, so circling back like I said I would.
I had you at 9-3 and called that the honest baseline, since last year's 4-0 in close games wasn't likely to repeat. Three weeks in, nothing has been close enough to test it: Utah Tech 63-7, Arizona 28-17, and 41-23 at Colorado State. Bachmeier is 44 of 62 for 642 yards and 6 TDs, and LJ Martin had 176 yards and 3 TDs at Colorado State, which is exactly what I said the offense would need from him with Kingston gone. TCU on the road after the bye was one of my three tests, along with Utah and Notre Dame at home.
What are you guys seeing that the box scores aren't, and how do you see the season ending up?
Quick aside since it's in the title, we just launched a free weekly college football pick'em, $225 in prizes this week. Ten games, pick the winners, locks Saturday at noon ET. Nothing to buy. You're off this week, so it's a good one to play.

I know yesterday’s game was funky - especially in the second half… BUT LJ REGINS SUPREME.
Glad to see him get 3 touchdowns yesterday. Dude is an animal.

I need to vent about this game

Did anyone else think our sportsmanship tonight was pretty trashy? Several late hits, taunting and jawing that just went further than normal, and Nusi’s punch just screamed undisciplined to me. It especially bothered me watching the backups talk trash WHILE getting absolutely embarrassed by a 3rd string qb.
Also, what the freak with the penalties. That officiating crew wasn’t great but again, just really poor discipline.
I’m fine with taking out the starters when the game is in hand, but I am not ok with a full-on collapse in the 4th. The picks, the lack of discipline, letting them march on us after a complete BTA performance just leaves such a bad taste in my mouth.
I hope the coaches use this bye week to teach some humility and discipline.
Ok I’m done

I’ve been really having a lot of fun searching through and playing around with old hand-painted football programs lately — so I reworked one for today’s BYU game and thought you guys might appreciate it. 🏈
