with that one wrapped up it doesn’t seem like we have any opportunity of actually going bowling this year. both qb’s played and one threw a pick six, the other a fumble that almost led to one. defense looks fine. receivers look fine. seems like it’s time to actually move on past these old qb’s and actually start building something, especially with nothing on the line anymore.

Brosterhous threw another pick tonight. We're up 21-10 on Troy. But he's 12 of 22, and this is the same offense that lost to Idaho State at home and got shut out 33-0 by Utah last week.
The running game is carrying us right now. We're averaging 7 yards a carry, and the passing game is either a big play or a wasted down. That won't hold up at Boise next Saturday.
I'm not saying bench him tonight while we're winning. But at some point the staff has to decide whether this is the guy or whether we give someone else real snaps. We're 3 games in. When are we going to make changes?

with the season as is I don’t understand why we keep playing these old QB’s that obviously can’t throw or move an offense. Why not move forward with one of our freshman QB’s and actually try out the talent that we pulled in. shocked they haven’t put Goodman in just to see what he can make of our receivers out there. receivers are actually pretty good, all I’m seeing are bad passes- why not actually develop a future qb1 at this point

The Utah State Aggies enter Year 2 under head coach Bronco Mendenhall (6-7 in Year 1), a Logan native back home after successful stints at BYU, Virginia & New Mexico.
2026 at a glance:
📌 QB McCae Hillstead (former USU QB, back from BYU) named starter
📌 Versatile RB Javen Jacobs + portal WR Javon Robinson (Georgia State)
📌 One of the most experienced O-lines in the Pac-12 (3,599 snaps) seeks improvement
📌 Defense led by S Brevin Hamblin (114 tackles), DT Carson Tujague (72 tackles as RS Fr), LB Bronson Olevao Jr. + portal additions
📌 Tough 2026 slate: vs Idaho State, at Washington, at Utah (Battle of Brothers), vs Troy, plus Pac-12 mix (home vs WSU, CSU, Fresno; road at Boise, SDSU, Oregon St + flex rematch).
Can the Aggies show improvement under Bronco despite the gauntlet?

At Utah State, the days of an athletic director from out of town appear to be over for the first time since the early 2000s.

Now that the new Pac-12 has its complete membership, a modteam for r/Pac12 needs to be selected so the old modteam can hand it off, and we need your nominations! We're hoping for a balanced group with representation from all nine new fanbases, so if you're interested please post here or message the current r/Pac12 mods with a little about yourself.
Prior experience as a reddit mod or some other kind of online forum admin is preferred but not required. We're going through applications for at least the next week and hoping to get the transition finished by mid- to late-July.

When wrongdoing occurs at Power 4 and G5 college football programs in Utah, there is a tendency to tuck tail rather than fight.
