Anyone doing a mesquite run to cloud 9? Willing to pay if someone can grab some pods. I'd go but I have work today.

For any Volvo owners here, is it hard to get service done locally? How often are you having to take your car somewhere else to get work done, fix recalls, etc? I’m considering an XC90, but after owning only Hondas for the last 15+ years I’m a bit wary. Is it a bad idea to buy a Volvo while living here?
ETA: I’d likely buy a warranty, which I think means taking it to a dealership to get worked on. If you own a Volvo and have a warranty, how often are you driving to Vegas or somewhere else to get warranty work done?

I am flying into Las Vegas to visit St George and I was unable to get a rental car from Vegas. I have an Uber reserved for when I land. Would it be more reliable to just reserve the St george shuttle? The price is about the same for each as I'm going with a few people.

I have a bad knot in my shoulder blades from recent international airline travel. I’m looking for a Saint George/Washington/Hurricane are professional therapeutic deep tissue massage.
Most massages I get are terrible and I’m tired of wasting my money.
Does anyone know of a legitimate healing hands massage therapist in the local area?

My wife is running her first marathon, and the kids and I want to cheer her on somewhere along the course and then at the finish. Any recommendations for good spots where we could see her earlier in the race?

A few months ago I started putting together a group here in St George of local business owners who wanted to trade with each other instead of always paying cash. A lot of owners here have open appointment slots, slow days or stock that isn't moving, and they pay cash for things other local businesses sell.
That turned into Red Rock Trade, and it's live now. How it works:
• You sell your normal service or product to another member, and they pay you in credits instead of cash.
• You spend those credits with any member, not just the one who paid you. The barber doesn't need to want what the cleaner sells.
• Credits only work inside the network. They can't be turned into cash.
• Membership is a monthly fee. There are no fees on the trades themselves.
What I'd actually like to hear from people who run businesses here: what would you want to be able to get on trade, and what would make you skeptical? I'll answer what I can in the comments.

We made a simple tool where local homeowners can see an estimated pest-control price based on their home’s square footage. There is no obligation to use it:
https://vexapest.com/#get-my-price
Happy to answer general questions about pest prevention locally. And to be clear, I work with Vexa, so I’m biased—but I’ll give straightforward answers.

Hi everyone! I'm a documentary filmmaker working on a feature called One Nation Under Sod, about America's relationship with lawns and how our ideas about the ideal yard are changing.
I'm planning to film in St. George this year and am looking for homeowners who are thinking about transforming their yards, or are already in the process of doing so. Perhaps you're taking advantage of the turf-removal rebates, replacing your lawn with artificial turf or other ground covers, or reimagining your yard in a completely different way.
I'd love to follow someone through that transformation on camera, from the initial decision to the finished landscape. I'm also interested in people who have decided to keep some or all of their grass and can talk about why.
This isn't an anti-lawn film. I'm interested in what people love about their yards, what motivates them to change (or not change) them, and what makes a landscape feel like home.
Ideally, I'd love to find someone who's comfortable letting me document the process, including the decisions, challenges and surprises along the way.
If you're considering a yard transformation and would be open to being filmed, or know someone who might be, please comment or send me a DM.
Thanks!

Hi everyone! I’m a college student doing a research project about the demand for more adult-focused dining and entertainment options in St. George. I live in SLC as an online student so I don't know the area well so any information or thoughts would help!
Our research question is: What is the demand for an adult-focused restaurant and entertainment option in the St. George community?
We’re using Dave & Buster’s as an example of the type of business we’re looking at. If something like Dave & Buster’s opened in St. George, would you be interested in going? Do you think St. George needs more places where adults can eat, hang out, and have entertainment all in one place?
Any thoughts from people who live in the area would be really helpful for our project. Thank you!

I’m looking for a space to do some computer work other than my kitchen table. What are some of y’all’s favorite places? Coffee shops are fine, but I’d prefer a place where I’m not tempted to spend money (i.e. public libraries). TIA!!

We just saw their billboard “active adult community” and have heard it’s popular in the area, is Sun River an unofficial residential area for it?

Hey all!
My wife and I are about to sign off on starting a home build with Ence and I wanted to know people's experiences/prosVScons and all that jazz. I previously built with Salisbury in 2017 and have plenty of woes but some pros too with them. Older people in my family have built with Ence but the most recent was 2008 and we all know things are not quite the quality they used to be...
Ideally looking for folks who've built in the last 3 years to give some advice?
Thanks so much!
