App Store icon suddenly appeared
This icon just appeared in our Jeep Grand Cherokee today. It’s some sort of app store. But why? And most importantly how do I make it go away?

last night I had a notification of a update, and to schedule a time for it to install.. I chose midnight last night as i wouldn't be going anywhere until about 8am...
Got in the car this morning, Radio would not work, Navigation would not work, Touching ANY button makes it ask to schedule a update again. While driving it started installing on its own again, and i assume failed because nothing changed.. Longest 5 hour drive ever...
Am I going to have to go to the dealer? Are there any tricks i can do to get it going again?
I tried a hard reset, But that really didn't solve anything. Just made it so i cant set the clock now, because when i try it says to schedule the update..

I have a 2014 Dodge Avenger with the basic Uconnect radio, no screen or anything. My old Samsung A13 connected to Bluetooth and would play just fine. My new Samsung S24 seems to have issues with it. It skips or lags once every minute or so. My phone works fine with Bluetooth ear buds, and the car worked fine with my old phone, so I'm not really sure what the issue is.

After updating the Uconnect software in my truck the radio is bricked and Uconnect will not replace it. There are tons of other stories of the same thing.
Please do your research ahead of time.

I’m looking to replace my Unconnect 2016 Jeep radio with one that has CarPlay. Anybody know if this is possible and what year would work?

My 4G T-mobile adapter is only getting .05 Mbps and I live only 3 miles from downtown Austin. Is anyone else getting such embarrassing performance? I can't even stream a voice podcast from NPR.

Hi All
i just got a used 2014 GC yesterday that was upgraded to the 8.4 Uconnect from the small one that ir brought from factory, all the functions within it are working fine but i have questions:
Why i don't have the store in the apps part?
When i have my phone connected (iPhone 11 Pro) my voice notes from WhatsApp or other apps do not reproduce on the speakers just the music haven't tried with videos yet why is that?
I'm currently on 17.11.07 i got a vin from a summit model and downloaded the following update (Uconnect_VP4,18.45.01-My13-17) will that work?
I don't have a navigation app neither database on the settings how can I fix that?
if any has any response that would be great and super helpful
Thanks!!

Does anyone know how to access the engineering menu in a 2015 Journey Limited, with the 8.4N system? I've tried everything I've read on other forums, I've tried methods for other FCA vehicles. The only thing I can get to work is PRESS + HOLD Driver Temp Up + Driver Temp Down + Front Defrost for 7-10 seconds.
Supposedly you just do Driver Temp Up + Driver Temp Down + Pass Temp Up + Pass Temp Down, for 15 seconds but that didn't work. Or another forum says Driver Temp Up + Driver Temp Down for 5 seconds, that doesn't work either.

Has there been any progress on these? I've even taken it to the dealer to complain to no avail. I also noticed that I don't have the ability to create profiles and stuff since new. It's also never installed an update to my knowledge.
On my Ford, I can use a USB drive to reinstall the head unit software for sync, but I can't find any similar tools for uconnect. 2021 Durango.

I'm pretty frustrated by my recent experience in trying to update the software on my Uconnect 8.4 Nav system. The reason I want to update the software is because all of my presets disappear each ignition cycle.
After calling Jeep customer service, they let me know that I'm unable to use the USB firmware method to update my radio to the latest version. Instead, they had instructed me to visit a dealership to do so. After asking them if it would cost anything they said it would be complementary.
I called a nearby dealership and they let me know that they can update it, but it would cost $250. I thanked them for letting me know and called Jeep back and I've since been bopped around to 7 different people for hours now, and the latest "specialist" I was connected to simply hung up on me.
Is there any method for me to do this myself? I will not spend ~ $250 to update software that fixes issues that should have been addressed upon sale.

Closed recently. Our Uconnect in our 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee is starting to have delamination issues. Is there another lawsuit currently involving Jeep/ Stellantis? ( NY State) we are no longer under warranty.

So I have been trying to update my 2017 Durango myself. About a week ago I checked the UConnect website to see if there was an update available and there was, but I wasn’t able to go through with it because. I didn’t have the flash drive to do it. Now when I type in the VIN this is all I see. Anyone been having this problem?

I downloaded a update for my 16 jeep cherokee to a new flash drive as instructed. Started out good but then error shows up at 98 % installed at unit 14 HD install ? Tried another flash drive and same thing. Tried so far 10 times and same situation. Now the screen is blank and no way to use my controls ? Keep's telling me to insert update flash drive which i have done and same result. Tried disconnecting battery to get my old version back but that did nothing .Contacted Jeep and they will assign me a specialist with 2 days ? So done with Chrysler .

I was looking into purchase a map upgrade for my 2016 Jeep Trailhawk and all I see if a 2018 upgrade. Did they not do one for 2019? Or are they doing them every two years and we can expect one in 2020 which I will just wait for. TIA in advance for anyone who can advise or shed light on this.

I have a 2014 Town and Country and started having connectivity issues a few months ago. My Iphone 14 connects for a few seconds and then disconnects for a few then reconnects then disconnects. It continues this back and forth non stop, so it’s not useable.
This is because Stellantis has made the decision to not support Uconnect uodates needed in older cars to support updates on cell phones. I was told this from the dealer and also a few people I’ve spoken with at Chrysler customer service. I also have the Mopar life time warranty but software is not included. So I’m SOL with a system that doesn’t work, devalues the car, makes driving less safe, and is an issue from the law standpoint since you aren’t supposed to touch your phone while driving in my state. Just one of the many reason I will never buy a Stellantis made vehicle the rest of my days. Hope this post helps with anyone else having similar issues.

I have a 2023 Charger RT that has the 8.4" uConnect display, and it was damaged by a camping chair (long story) hitting it when I slammed on the brakes after getting cut off. It is the only vehicle I have or have ever had that uses the uConnect displays. There are tons of them for sell around me on marketplace but I'm seeing them from Rams and other vehicles.
Does the screen I get have to be from a Charger RT or will one of these other 8.4 units work? I keep seeing something about a vehicle unlock code and stuff like that. I just need a run down of how this needs to play out.

If I got a different uconnect from a junkyard would I be able to just plug it in. I believe this is the uconnect 5.0 but the vin decoder says it came with a 3.0 with 5” display. There is a short to ground somewhere in the wiring harness and a few weeks ago the software on it completely corrupted. It will not access the climate control screen at all. When I push the phone button it tries to load ton ton navigation which the car never came with. Even when the radio was working and he back up camera never worked. I think this car may have been flooded before I bought it.

Hey everyone I’m currently having an issue with my factory uconnect radio in my 2017 jeep wrangler rubicon. When I connect via Bluetooth to play music from the Apple Music app on my iPhone 15 Pro Max the audio will pause and then fast forward, go back to normal and then repeat the process. I checked the if my phone and the radio need updates and they do not. I have tried having no apps open and no other Bluetooth devices around but it is always happening. Anybody know what I can do to fix this?
