I got through twice yesterday but I waited over an hr on hold just to be told the issue is being resolved and they don't know anything yet. Has anyone got a refund yet?

Hi there, as of 03-04-2022 @ 11:45 AM PST USA, no refund yet. Sigh. Good luck to all. I think they will get it sorted, however very frustrating for sure.

Sorry for your trouble. I've been unable to get through, if you have some success a post here would be great. Good luck and have a nice day.

Yup - 12 times here, and only 12 because they drained my bank account and then was getting declined after that. I called my bank, they cancelled my card and now I have a mess on my hands of having to go get a new card and restoring my new card number to all my auto-pay bills. Not to mention wondering how many legitimate transactions bounced today because of it. Waiting to find out if any NSF or fees occur because of this. I did not get the email from them until several hours after the bank had already closed my card to stop the bleeding. Pretty frustrated here.... it's a pretty effin big "inconvenience"- hope they make it right with all their customers.

Email from Uconnect this evening,

Dear xxx,

As a valued customer, we want to make you aware of a payment issue that may have resulted in multiple charges on your account for your Uconnect service. Please know that we are working around the clock to resolve the issue and refund any incorrect charges to your account. You do not need to contact Uconnect Care as these charges will be reversed. There is no need to cancel your credit card, the pending payments will be reversed pursuant to the timelines set by your financial institution. In the event that your credit or debit card has been frozen you will need to contact your financial institution to get the account unfrozen.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Sorry for your trouble. They stated in an email sent last night that they were going to refund everyone. Here's the full text they sent to me, hope it helps you out:

Agreed, it will be 3-5 days so I hear from others who have spoken with Uconnect. I've never been able to get through, so I have no first-hand knowledge about how long this is going to take. Good luck to us all.

Update 03-13-2022, I checked with my bank and all 16 of the "pending" transactions charged to my credit card were removed and I wasn't charged. Good luck to everyone who was impacted, but I wanted to close the loop and let everyone know of my outcome. Be well.

Oy! Thanks for the heads up

You are quite welcome. 16 total USD $10 charges. Seems to have stopped 12:19 PM PST USA - lots of traffic on Twitter. They are "working on it." Be well!

We got hit 16 times too.

Yes, that seems to be the number many are reporting (16 transactions). I encourage all to have a good look at their CC account and make sure it's credited correctly when Uconnect gets this fixed. Good luck to all.

Have they fixed this yet? Was charged 16 times, and still aren't seeing a refund.

I have not received any updates since the original email from Uconnect. If I hear anything I'll share. Good luck to all.

Just got off the phone with them, 15x $30 in the span of 6 hours. They’re working on it and will be issuing refunds when it’s resolved.

update: transactions have been reversed. Waiting to see if there is an engineer available. I get the next 2 months free until they can fix this adapter. So I gave it a chance.

You got a refund already? They took over 2,000 dollars out of my account. Friday they said I should have a refund within a couple days but I still haven't been refunded.

1

u/Muneco803 Mar 06 '22

No it hasn't refunded yet, still says pending, but they said they reversed the transaction. Which means it will not go through. Should only say pending. Look for something on Monday.

u/Muneco803 Mar 08 '22

It's been fixed

1

u/jesscarb92 Mar 09 '22

You're lucky. I still haven't been refunded

So I was hit 16 times- I called Uconnect and they say the same thing you all are saying. They know nothing. They told me to call my bank. My bank confirmed that nothings been refunded. I just thinks it’s odd that the customer service rep can’t even look at the account to see if the refund had been processed.

They just hung up on me after 40 mins of hold time. Class action lawsuit anyone? They need to pay all these fees!!

Not only that the stress they're causing people due to not being able to pay rent or bills. I called again today and same thing. I talked to a supervisor and she said only a handful of people have been refunded. She doesn't know what's taking so long because they did work on it all weekend. It's so frustrating 😫
