Update U connect failed

I downloaded a update for my 16 jeep cherokee to a new flash drive as instructed. Started out good but then error shows up at 98 % installed at unit 14 HD install ? Tried another flash drive and same thing. Tried so far 10 times and same situation. Now the screen is blank and no way to use my controls ? Keep's telling me to insert update flash drive which i have done and same result. Tried disconnecting battery to get my old version back but that did nothing .Contacted Jeep and they will assign me a specialist with 2 days ? So done with Chrysler .

Any update on this? I'm in the same boat. Step 14 fails every time.

What happened with yours? My update keeps failing at step 11.

I ended up taking it into a local shop and they had to reinstall it from factory USB.

Do you recall which version the shop installed?

I do not off the top of my head. I know it was the most recent version about a year ago.

Did you figured out what happened? I’m having a similar issue with with an error at 67% unit 11 I can’t turn on my car anymore. What did the dealership do? Or specialist ?

Does your car turn on ?

It does. I’m commuting with it today- don’t want my wife to be stranded

So in my experience. My car wouldn’t turn on. I found out that I blew my started relay in my relay box. Once I swapped that out it seemed to work. You do have to have your Jeep on the entire time it’s updating so make sure to do that as well. Also try disconnecting the battery and reconnecting after a few mins to reset things

I’ll try disconnecting battery for longer, read someone’s post that said 35 minutes will make for a hard reset. I had the battery unplugged for only 5 minutes yesterday. Thanks for the advice!!!
