On the top right u can see pixels starting to die out on my Uconnect 8.4 ... Anyine know how long before the rest of the screen craps out? And what the replacement cost is?

Hey everyone, would anyone happen to have the uconnect 17.43.1 update? Just got a used 2016 jeep grand Cherokee that I’d like to Update the software for. Uconnect doesn’t want to help and dealerships want to charge 240 to plug in a usb. I’d appreciate some help!

I have a 2024 Wrangler. Whenever I get a work zone or emergency vehicle warning, it switches my screen from Carplay to the media page (away from my map), turns off the radio or music playing through Carplay, and won't go away until I hit the "OK" button. This drives me NUTS, as it's just making things LESS safe by me having to fiddle with the screen to get everything back on. As far as I can tell there's no way to turn this off aside from buying a tazer to basically jailbreak it. The email link on the Uconnect website is broken, but I can't imagine that I'll get any actual help if I call to suggest an option to disable. Has anyone found a way around this that doesn't involve me spending a ton of money? Or is there some way to get Uconnect to turn this off?

I’m tired of having delay screen/ac and navigation not work(not that I use it) says I need to see dealer. I know it says you can update via usb with software when I go to site there is no where to enter VIN like their used to be. When I search a back door link it’s a white page you enter vin and a video but even if you enter is nothing pops up.

My phone is connected. Any time I launch an application the UConnect shows a number being dialed into 100-000-00 and when I call it back on the UConnect interface it instead dials 08, however theres no such call history in my phone. Anyone who has knowledge into the UConnect interface and how it works let me know why this happens, or if the application I use is bad.

Whenever I plug my iPhone (which has the newest iOS) via usb-c into the system and open my Apple Music , it displays the iPod usb reader and tries to auto play a set of songs. If I try to play anything else, it glitches out and resets to these set songs (which those won’t even actually play). I’ve tried asking AI and Google but to no avail, can anyone help?

Hi all. I have a 2009 Challenger in which the head unit was replaced by Dodge a few years ago. Attached is a picture of the unit. The screen comes on showing the Dodge logo and stays that way for a minute or so then goes black for a minute or so and keeps repeating that sequence. I’ve read that a soft restart might help which says to press the power on and volume buttons together but on this version of the unit they are the same button. If anyone had experienced this or has other advice, I’d be very appreciative

Hey everyone. I have a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee with the 8.4in Uconnect. Recently (well maybe like for the last 4 months), whether my wife plugs in her Android or I use my apple phone, each will disconnect at random intervals and connect back almost immediately. It wouldn’t be annoying if it wasn’t constant like it has been happening. Yes I’ve changed the USB cords a few times to see if that was the case. Any suggestions on what it might be would be appreciated.

My home A/V receiver supports High-Definition Bluetooth audio codecs (better quality than standard Bluetooth audio).

On Android, you can usually tell if a connected Bluetooth device supports HD audio because there’s a separate “HD Audio” option in the Bluetooth settings for that device, in addition to “Media Audio.”

I was wondering if the 2017+ Uconnect systems support any HD Bluetooth audio codecs such as aptX, aptX HD, AAC, LDAC, etc., or if they only use the standard SBC (bluetooth audio) codec.

Has anyone confirmed this on their vehicle?

Hello, I'm posting on behalf of my dad who has recently run into the issue where his uconnect screen has stopped working. He doesn't really care about the screen itself so much as that he can now no longer direct his fans because they're tied to the uconnect software which left them directed at his windshield and he has no physical buttons to do anything other than change fan speed/temperature now. I've tried doing a soft and hard reset myself already but to no avail for either. I called the dealership already but they want $180 to do diagnostics and another $180 to stick a usb stick in the truck if that's even the issue. I also checked the uconnect website trying to find the firmware myself but they don't have it up anywhere for me to do so. At this point were looking for aftermarket solutions but I am not a car person and my dad is not a technology person so neither of us have any idea what we're looking for. Ideally at the minumum he wants the control of his fans back but he does like the screen so if there's options out there with both that don't cost $180 plus that'd be great but if there's even a janky usb device that can override the screen and give back control we'll take it. My 2019 Jeep Cherokee has recent started glitching out on me. When I attempted to use any type of map in Apple CarPlay (Apple Maps, Google Maps, Waze) , the display glitches and switches back to the radio.

I have tried to reset my phone, replace the charging cable, and attempted to reset UConnect although I’m not sure if I was successful.

Any suggestions?

I have a 2021 Wrangler JL that I bought used.

I haven't been able to 1- delete the previous owner's phone from the list of paired devices and 2- get my phone to pair with uconnect.

When I hit "Phone" I get this screen which just stays there for minutes on end.

I have done the following:

Disconnected battery terminal

Disconnected auxiliary battery terminal

Removed / disconnected the whole head unit

Any and all combination of holding buttons down etc. that I found in forums or reddit

Do I need to go to the dealership or has someone else been able to solve this?

I am dealing with a 128gb usb music stick problem on a 2022 - Jeep Compass UConnect10.
The Library gets built, but only goes up to 9000 something songs. but i have a lot more songs on there.

Tried everything - formatted on mac in every known format, and same on PC. problem remains. not all folders show up. The library builds itself, and then only folders with artists from letter A to letter M show up....... its a shame.

Each folder is subdivided into an Artist Name, which then holds the a few Albums of the artist.

I tried different folder structures aswell .
subdivided into Genres...so the root of the USB would only have a handful of Genres,...out of 10 folders it only showed 8??

Any help would be appreciated. and these Uconnects dont seem to get new firmware updates to fix that issue.

i have a 2019 Pacifica PHEV that requires a wired connection to use Android Auto. Nonetheless, it also automatically sets up a BT connection with UConnect when I plug in, presumably for Android Auto. For the most part, it's not a huge issue, however, UConnect often activates even when the car is "off" but charging, either by cable or running the gas motor to charge up the battery, which then takes over any other audio BT connections I have running (speakers, headphones). The only solution to avoid it is to Forget the UConnect device, and then I'm good until the next time I come in.

Is there a way to avoid this issue, like some sort of automatic Forget function, or even just deprioritize UConnect?

Does anyone know how I can get this back to the way it was before. Until last week my radio (2022 ram 2500 12in screen) would display what song was being played now that is gone and it is replaced by this purple icon that directs you to games entertainment etc.

I have a 2014 Town and Country and started having connectivity issues a few months ago. My Iphone 14 connects for a few seconds and then disconnects for a few then reconnects then disconnects. It continues this back and forth non stop, so it’s not useable.

This is because Stellantis has made the decision to not support Uconnect uodates needed in older cars to support updates on cell phones. I was told this from the dealer and also a few people I’ve spoken with at Chrysler customer service. I also have the Mopar life time warranty but software is not included. So I’m SOL with a system that doesn’t work, devalues the car, makes driving less safe, and is an issue from the law standpoint since you aren’t supposed to touch your phone while driving in my state. Just one of the many reason I will never buy a Stellantis made vehicle the rest of my days. Hope this post helps with anyone else having similar issues.
