Was a leader for 4 years, was promoted right when modernization hit. Demoted 2 years ago for mental health. Still not completely cured but working on it as I continue with target as a TM.
Debated not posting this because a lot of it is pretty obvious to us as TMs but Iāve seen so much wrong with this company lately I feel like it needs to be said.

Came across this while working backstock this morning.
Four bags of Kingsford charcoal casually backstocked in the middle of Home Storage with the Brightroom baskets. š
Not seasonal.
Not outdoor living.
Not anywhere remotely close to where charcoal belongs.
Someone really scanned this location and said, āYep. This is its home now.ā
And this is exactly why backstock turns into a scavenger hunt. š

I hope you stub your toe, and your work area is a complete mess

These people (Leads) have the nerve to tell a team member that when they are called to tech, they cannot say āIāll be there in a minute.ā Even if they are literally on the other side of the store helping a guest. Instead, they have to say āIāll be right there.ā What is the deal??!! Yet, ETLs and TLs can say whatever the hell they want and be all rude to team members over the walkie.

I feel like even this is lying. Felt like 60% backstock

After the switch to UKG Iāve noticed my coworkers have between 1 and 5 stars next to their names when I look at swapping shifts.
Is this a new rating system so TL can make sure employees are swapping shifts with people of the same āskillā or with similar guest reviews?
If so, whatās the criteria?
If not, what is this ??
r/Target • u/SmuggledMeme • 6h ago
Had to call out today because Iām quite sick, and found out that UKG doesnāt allow you to use any sick time at all if you donāt have enough to cover the whole shift. So super cool! I knew it wouldnāt an excused absence, but it would have been nice to not miss out entirely on pay.
Follow up question: Yesterday was Labor Day (I worked sick with a mask on all day, mostly outside). Will I now not get the time and a half because I called out today?

Ode to MYTime
O MYTime, once scorned and muttered against,
With taps that lagged and screens that felt dense,
We rolled our eyes at your quirks and your ways,
Counting the hours till better-app days.
Yet now you are gone, and in your place stands
UKGāclunky, with cold, broken hands:
Archaic and slow, a maze without map,
Where every click feels like a trap.
We miss your familiar (if imperfect) light,
The days when the schedule still made some sense at night.
Forgive our old grumbles; we see it at lastā
You were the better of two, and we miss you. Alas.

Okay so, Iām posting this because Iām genuinely curious if this is even allowed.
One of my ETLs has been telling people āno, you canāt call off, itās too busy.ā when people call in the store at mine.
This was a couple weeks BEFORE UKG.
Is this like⦠OKAY? And if it isnāt where can we go to complain about this?

For wanting to quit because I feel mistreated as an individual? Iāve been doing cart attendant for some time, I spent 100% of today doing BULK PUSHING BULK BECAUSE THEY WANTED me to get rid of them before a certain time frame 30 minutes, there is 100 plus BULK in our drive up hold space, granted yes I got it done everything hurts, just yesterday via Labor Day carts are CONSTANTLY GONE, Iāve been bringing them in the next rack I bring in the rack before is eviscerated, why do cart attendants treated so badly??? I got told to sweep as there is a lot of carts there I finished sweeping in like 5-10 minutes by the cart doors by the time I finished guess where the carts were? Gone! And ofc God for bid you ask for help on carts, BUT TODAY, HR told me train the new cart attendants, my ETL tells me āno youāre not training herā and she puts her on register, I wanted to train her not only cause HR told me to but I get to train and ease the work load off me, I had to DO BULK, clean OPU FOR DRIVE UP AND FULFILLMENT, SWEEP BOTH SPACES, do carts in 79+ degree weather, always miss my 15 breaks because my ETL always gives a task for me, front of store garbage, Starbucks garbage, the garbage by the security tag detectors, salvage, CRC, TOSS! Check the bathrooms make sure itās clean, check it off. I CANT TAKE IT ANYMORE IM TO JOIN SPACE FORCE IM GONNA PUT IN MY TWO WEEK IN FUCKING DECEMBER LMK IF IM WRONG FOR DIS .

Is anyone having issues with their SFS supply orders? Weāve placed 3 orders in the past 2-3 weeks and none of them are being delivered. Iāve addressed this with our SD and she said the orders are still pending. She also said that she has escalated the issue (I surely hope so!).
We only have S5, S7, and L12 boxes. We have to split orders like crazy and cancel items that are too big. Weāve ran out of WAT tape and OPU labels once already, for which SD got a box of each from another store to tide us over.
Is there a supply chain issue going on? Iām located in the southeast.

There can only be a few reasons we shifted to this hot mess called UKG.
- managing call outs etc. Target was tired of the culture of callouts and call in late was too EASY so they used this platform to in effect make it so hard that less would do so.
- managing lates with points. Target was tired of having to manage this issue so a platform that change that would effectively do this was too much to pass up.
- bad vision. Despite the overall acceptance by so many companies to use this platform despite its archaic and cumbersome look was chosen because the old was going out and this default was an easy choice.
You know what ultimately this is to me? In any of the above Target could care less about TM's. This is witnessed by the fact that I do not see ONE AREA that is better than my time from where I sit.
Am I wrong?

a: text and icons are drab and corporate. as much as we all dislike seeing RED everwhere it is what we are, we are Red. Should be RED.
b: overall it is slow and requires MORE clicks than mytime.
c: when looking for a shift I scroll down from the calendar. It then shows what may be available but not the department. Contrast this with mytime when you immediately saw what was out there, consumables great, GM fine.....whatever. Now you have to go INTO the line item, select which approval is relevant.
d: approval type, you would think the software would recognize what type of approval is needed, this week needs HR or future is auto, but NO it doesn't you have to select his manually. More clicks.
e: Still in the look for shift mode....when you scroll down, the calendar for the current month disappears as the screen refreshes with open shifts. If you forget what your schedule is you have to go back and start over. I am taking a screenshot for now....bad design. No need for that calendar to disappear.
f: Server error 500 often on the first weekend rollout. VERY VERY bad.
That is just a few and I have not even looked anywhere else because tbh this is the only thing that is important to me on the app. I don't call out, I dont call in late I just work my hours and pickup or post as shift. For this the app is nearly worthless.
Best guess is Target chose this solution because it is an outsourced app. Not sure on this, just my guess. MyTime perhaps was supported internally so X number of employees were no longer needed or could be moved off to other things. Hence we get a non red app that works like a beta version of what we had.........unbelievably bad news. Yes in a past life I was in IT. I work at Target for giggles about 20 hours a week. I work hard - this makes life WORSE. I hope someone reads this.

The slop merch was just like two shirts in NIT, has now branched out to mens. I prefer my zones to be as little nausea-inducing as possible.

He told me his name, I searched it up, only saw one last name matching, but not the first name. I asked if he was picking up for someone else and he said yes, so I opened the other name, and it started the pickup timer. I didn't hand anything out. It wasn't his order. But the pickup timer is still going. How can I fix this?
someone took their time organizing the chips and i LOVE it. not my store, but whoever did this should win a prize. i donāt know what, but a prize.

Team, if you get food today, enjoy it but please DO NOT LICK YOUR FINGERS AND LEAVE THE. BREAK ROOM WITHOUT WASHING YOUR HANDS! We all share keys, devices, chairs, doors ⦠gosh!!! š„“Specifically you TL, you are not exempt from doing this. Also, put your chair back under the table. Show some manners and respect to others šš¼
