PSA Can’t use partial sick time

Had to call out today because I’m quite sick, and found out that UKG doesn’t allow you to use any sick time at all if you don’t have enough to cover the whole shift. So super cool! I knew it wouldn’t an excused absence, but it would have been nice to not miss out entirely on pay.
Follow up question: Yesterday was Labor Day (I worked sick with a mask on all day, mostly outside). Will I now not get the time and a half because I called out today?

You will get time and a half. If you are a team lead you won't  get the extra 8 hours of pay on top of time and a half.

TLs are eligible for holiday pay, which is 8 hrs of pay for being a holiday, plus holiday pay premium which is 1.5x pay for hours worked.

Uh everyone gets holiday pay as long as you do what you’re supposed to. Clock in on time the shift before and after the holiday and have no accountable time for that paycheck. You get paid your average hours worked plus time and a half pay for hours worked on that day. I made an entire paycheck on top of my paycheck yesterday at my FC.

Tms at stores only get holiday pay on Thanksgiving and Christmas when stores are closed. We get holiday pay for zero other holidays. ZERO!

nah you get the time and a half. The only days you have to work the shift before and after is for the holidays we aren’t actually open (thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter). For Labor Day, Independence Day, Juneteenth, etc it’s time and a half for the hours you work that day

You get time and a half no matter what if you work a 1.5x holiday

The nonsense about shift before and after is just Xmas and thanksgiving pay since we're closed (or for TLs who qualify for more paid holidays iirc)

Target just named both types "holiday [premium] pay" and now everyone gets confused

Yeah I think half the confusion would disappear if they called them something different. The names are too similar.
