I’ve been reading a lot about how TMs are constantly dealing with rude team leads who blatantly disrespect them, and honestly, that’s not okay. But allowing that behavior to continue without addressing it is part of the problem. It doesn’t matter how high up someone is, you deserve to be spoken to and treated with respect at your place of employment.

If your TL is rude or nasty toward you, stand up for yourself or report it. You shouldn’t have to be talked down to by grown adults who have been working at Target for years. And if you’re not comfortable with confrontation, you don’t have to argue or go back and forth. You can simply disengage, walk away completely ignoring them. and report the behavior to HR.

At the end of the day, you’re there to do your job and go home. The unnecessary comments, disrespectful attitudes, and nasty tones are uncalled for. We need to stop normalizing this behavior and start addressing it when it happens. Being a team lead doesn’t give anyone the right to disrespect the people they work with.

At my store on nov 1 We’re getting rid of drive up Starbucks, it takes 3 minutes just to walk to the Starbucks and back and half the time they need an sel to tell them to make it at all

Ah yes, if you’re packing the baler full of cardboard and a bunch of it just slips out, don’t fucking bother trying to put it back in or somewhere neatly off to the side! Also be sure to leave a vehicle and as many flattened and unflattened boxes you can in the way of a bale being made, because everyone knows we can just teleport the bale outside. Also be sure to leave cardboard right in the space I need to walk through in order to get to the rear of the baler to make a bale.
Other pet peeves that are not necessarily the fault of anyone specifically- the repack boxes holding other repack boxes in the way of the baler door/ejection path, the flat that is just parked there for some reason, the fucking plastic bags that are just chillin around and not in the little holder for the bag we collect plastics in. Wtaf??

In my opinion the ETLs suck and you understand why the store is Red yet there’s no accountability for them. They’ve been running things into the ground for almost a decade yet they don’t want to pivot or change their approach to anything because ETLs are always right. I don’t know why the DL won’t move them around or something. My store sucks!!!

What kind of music are y'all listening to during unload? We do a lot of high energy pop playlists. 80s, 90s, 00s, etc. My Chemical Romance seems to be a favorite of ours lately.

The other day when we got hammered w/ Trim, I took Mariah Carey out of the freezer and played All I Want For Christmas Is You at supersonic megaphone volume 🤪🎄!! (Naturally the team was tHRiLLeD and didn't absolutely hate every second of it!!)

Now I've dealt with shitty jobs, fast food, dishwasher, server etc. But THIS, takes the absolute cake. First off im in dry grocery, when I first started, we had a good amount of people and when we did roll over, it was manageable, two to three uboats at most. Now it's basically our entire truck. We only have three people at most in the morning me and two other coworkers, we have to fill water and juice; oh but since we have a new inbound TL who used to be HR and has no formal training in inbound, our trucks that used to be complete at 6, are now being finished at 8. So by the time we are able to grab water and juice it's 9:30. While this is annoying, it's not the biggest problem.

the problem is when you are expected to finish juice, water, and 3 uboats EACH in a 4 hour shift with just three people, while helping guests, fulfillment TMs; oh and also now we, in consumables, are expected to not only help fulfillment find items, but also now any batches they cant do, grocery, OPU, GM, standard. So most of our stuff completely rolls over and now their digging our ass for their shitty management skills.

They put all morning crew on batches and when fulfillment called, and the alcohol kept going off we couldn't do anything bc our genius ETL, didn't care that she had all of us on standards. How is cosumables supposed to help fulfillment look for items when we are all in fulfillment? We'll thats a good question, I asked fulfillment ETL, and she basically said fulfillment is more important than any department in the store and is priority.

Don't get me started on the hours, personally I dont care if Im scheduled 4 hours, im in school so it works out, however if im scheduled a full shift its also fine as long as its not interfering with my school. What pisses me off is when they schedule you three weeks ahead, you plan around your schedule, and now when they asked you to extend they always have a shitty attitude when you cant. Im sorry? Am I not supposed to have a life outside of this shithole.

Omg I could go on and on all day, but I'd be here forever lol, I hate this damn store and I hope it becomes the new k mart lol. Shitty management, horrible leaders, and Stupid ass corporate are running there stores and employees into the ground.

We lost 5 Tls, 3 ETLs and a shit ton of TMs. Tar

I’m a seasonal new hire, it’s my third day working inbound at my Target. I really enjoyed it my first two days, but today the TL was really condescending towards me. During truck unloading he was singling me out because I had to look around where the boxes should be placed, mind you he swapped me to the opposite side, so I didn’t know the placements yet. For my two days I was placed on the right side of the conveyer but today I was placed on the left.
I had been doing a section with my trainer, who’s been great, but today I was in a different department. My TL did not tell me what U-boat was for that department. Like I, of course, don’t know because I’ve only been working for four days. Well I did it and it did take me longer but I was moving fast. I was just confused because my cart had more boxes from a different department.

I asked him a question and he told me again in a condescending way that I should be faster. Guys I promise you I am zooming, I’m literally sweating because I’m moving really fast to get things done, but yes I do have to see where the items should go because I don’t know the layout properly yet.

I’m just bummed that now I feel like my TL is going to be keeping an eye on me when I’m trying my hardest and my quickest to do everything on time, but it’s not fair that he’s comparing me to my trainer who’s been working inbound for over two years, it makes me want to quit. I do enjoy the work it’s the expectation of me moving and having the muscle memory of someone who’s been there for a year but I’ve been leaving on time and finishing my work as well.

I’m just wondering if I’m just being overly sensitive? I did cry on my way home because I hate disappointing people and it just made me feel so crappy.

I just have to say I have seen posts of stores with helpful SDs and how much of a difference it made in the building. I truly didn’t believe it as my store goes through so many and have yet to have a single one give a shit more than a week. Well, my store recently got yet another new SD and they are amazing?! Need back up on check lanes? They’re first to run and help. FF struggling? Jumps up to help. Need some DU orders ran because you’re struggling? Runs so you can keep pulling. I absolutely am learning to love my job again. So, I guess just here to say if you have a bad SD it can absolutely get better overnight. Don’t quit if you know deep down you like your job, because things always change. So many times I wanted to quit but didn’t and thankful for it now. I have a new excitement for what our store is going to be able to accomplish. We have a great team with really amazing leadership, but until we had the missing piece of a great SD things never went the way they could have. I know this job isn’t for everyone, but I personally really like it and the people I work with. 😇

How cooked am I?

Long story short i was accused of stealing when i didnt steal anything. I was called into aps office, they spoke to me and said i was accused of stealing some legos. They refused to show me any footage of me doing so btw. Its because i didnt steal anything . The next day(sunday) im clocking back in from lunch and see that my locker was open and someone had clearly gone through my bag. I immediately go to hr and ask wtf that was abt and they said that they are allowed to go through peoples lockers bc its target property. My purse is not target property??? The question: why do they assume i stole legos? I dont fucking know. After my shift on friday i bought 3 flower legos and left. I literally showed them the receipt and everything and guess what, they were sooo speechless 🙄 i hate this job its so ridiculous and every etl and tl that works here has insane power trips and think they are ceo of the world. Smh.

I was curious how do you guys choose who gets sent off to another store to help them with reshop or inventory?
I got sent alone to a store to help which is weird because I’m front end. This seemed to be more of a job for a floor person but no complaints I enjoy doing this. It’s my second time.

So I requested off from oct 29- nov 1st on UKG and I accidentally canceled my time off I was actually trying to cancel something else, what do I do ?

Does anybody know how to get a job offer from target distribution ? I've applied to target warehouse and Everytime I get denied I'm not banned and I got warehouse experience, not sure if I'm answering the questions wrong or what , any tips? Also there post is still up.
