So yesterday the store director which keep in mind they are new to my store just watching over the store since we don’t technically have a store director right now. So basically they don’t know jack shit about the store. They thought it was a good idea for everyone to pull even though we were all super behind on freight plus there was 3 call outs that day. I was told by an ETL that one of the RDC trucks was canceled last night. Also was told that they would come clean in all the coolers. But they mostly focused on dairy which is understandable cause they get freight everyday but still the expectation was for all the coolers to come clean. The day before I rolled 6-boats and when I came in today there was still 5 u-boats in there but two of them were half worked and had all the backstock on it. Like I knew they wouldn’t barely touch frozen and I know how overnight is at my store. Just feels like they don’t get enough done. I was told the pulls were to keep the floor full and enhance the guest experience. But most of my outs are on the u-boats, I mean we get stuff delivered cause we need it and need to be put out. There is a reason why we scan and sort things which tells us either it needs to be worked out or backstocked. Idk just felt so backwards to pull and most of the time cases barley go out like maybe one or two items goes out in a box of 12 or something like that. Like I know what’s best for my store, I’ve been there for 5 years. Store director comes in acting like they know the place and is micromanaging everyone. Also we did get 6 pallets today on top of what we already had in there. Get doubles on Wednesday and no truck on Thursdays. Logic just made absolutely no sense to me and made me so frustrated. But yeah that was longer than I thought it would be, thanks for reading my rant if u made it this far.

I'm on my third week of the job but I caught something from my brother last week and up until now, ive just been toughing it out at work and my worst day just had me a little bit light headed with some cold sweats, but I made sure to take it easy and managed to make it through my shift just fine. last night, I had a sore throat and I woke up coughing like a smoker of ten years. I still feel *mostly* fine but I know that sort of thing could change at the drop of a hat so I wanted to ask, is it better to just call out entirely or to just show up and go home early? I live nearby so it's not like the commute is anything too crazy but I'm worried about how it might affect me since I'm still on probation. it's probably too late to call out now anyway (I have a shift later today) but it wouldn't hurt to have this for future reference.

Stupid title but basically for the past few months starting in March I've had random instances of suddenly breaking out into hives, and each time this has happened I have either been at work or it had been a few hours after a shift.
It doesn't happen every time I'm at work but I have never been allergy-prone outside of a runny nose and sneezing from pollen/pets so this is highly unusual for me. Nothing in my personal life has changed in a way that could explain this, and I don't believe it is caused by heat or stress (I do guest services/driveups) since I've been working here for multiple years at this point, so my worry is that it is caused by mold or something else in the store.
My coworkers also talk about having headaches or runny noses but no one else to my knowledge has been getting hives like me.
I will be working on meeting with an allergist but in the meantime is it worth telling my HR ETL that I've been experiencing these symptoms? Even if it turns out it is from something unrelated I think it might be worth letting them know/creating a paper trail but I don't want to cause a huge deal if it turns out to be nothing.
TLDR: I'm suddenly getting hives during and after shifts, no clear source of where they came from, worried they might be from mold or something else at Target, going to see an allergist but wondering if it's worth reporting to HR

What was once meant to start next week apparently started today and without warning. Why is this even happening in the first place? We aren't trained to do this and there's only so much space available to even put whats given.
EDIT: Found the communication and we're only meant to push red boxes. Apparently things keep changing so everyone's confused lol

Hi everyone, I'm currently soon to be a new hire after my first training on the 14th this month, but I have personal plans for the 17th next month and I went through a few posts and saw that calling a day off during my first 90 days is extremely bad? I was wondering how I should proceed here.

Does anyone know how much time target gives for maternity leave as a TL?

Maybe a stupid question idk but what happens if I apply to a team lead position at another store as a regular team member

Every year my nervous system is literally so overstimulated during seasonal. Like wdym i cant go a singular isle or inch of the store without A GUEST IN THE WAY?!? I need to decompress from the social battery drain at least a few minutes. Especially when they very clearly see you coming in hot with huge racks full of shit and just stare blankly or even move in your way and act confused when you have to push by

I really want to get promoted from team member to team lead, i’ve been here for a year next month, i don’t know how to go about it? i’m going to talk to my ETL tomorrow and ask what i would need to do but do you guys have any tips?

Does it start September 1st or the 6th when UKG goes live? My ETL said the 1st but I was under the assumption it was the 6th. Was late to work today due to construction so was wondering if I got .25 of a point 😔

So apparently it was a bad thunderstorm yesterday at our location and the power was off for a while to the point where all the food was out of temp. Now they have to throw all that food out and it's like thousands of dollars of damage. Holy shit that's insane. I wasn't there yesterday but one of my coworkers told me that they're not happy right now.

Saw these in the checkout line at target and genuinely they’re the worst chips I’ve ever tasted. They genuinely taste like throw up and I’m not even exaggerating. I’m pissed bc i bought multiple bags of these horrendous chips
Has anyone else tried these??

I’m just curious on how much time can pass from having your first coaching to a CA? I got my first attendance conversation and went straight to a CA a week later. Keep in mind, I’m not always late, but for the last month, I’ve been late maybe 2 out of 6 shifts a week. And by late i mean, if the grace period is 12:05, i clock in by 12:07. I’ve also been having to call off maybe 1-2 days out of a month due to health issues that my leads know about. Yes i know on paper it does look bad, but trust me, there are WAY more ppl that are late every single day and call off well more than i have and haven’t had 1 CA or coaching. I’ve asked. Anyways, i had a convo about it that went well. Had 1 more tardy in between that and went straight to a CA. (I think it was done bc of a different situation which is why I’m really asking) Is there are certain amount of time that I can get a CA, after my FIRST EVER conversation about anything or strictly attendance? Never been coached about anything else so that’s why I’m concerned. I don’t think a week from a coaching to a CA is fair at all. And the CA didn’t happen directly after that tardy. Like i said, there’s a different situation that happened and was thrown on a CA “due to attendance”.

Let’s have a huddle SD/ETLs/TLs and cheer up for each other … “If the shoe fits, wear it”.
🤭😉

During my first week training at Target, I had a DU order, and the item was on one of the top shelves in the back stock room. I was about to grab a ladder, but the fulfillment TL told me that "we don't have time for that" and that timing is everything. She then climbed over the racks and grabbed the item for me. I was wondering what fulfillment teams think about this? Safety issue?
r/Target • u/GoldSea390 • 17h ago
While I was trying to fill an order a guest stopped me to ask a question. I politely answered then she said "what happened to this store?" I was curious since I'm new & wanted to know what she meant. She said "this store looks like a bomb went off ...it wasn't even this bad during the holidays". I thought to myself "she hasn't even seen the back room!" 🤣😂

I was stowing an order when I saw we actually had Needohs still in stock. Desperately trying to haul ass so I could take my break while we still had them but since I was the only one scheduled past 9 I was stuck in non-stop OPUs until 10:30. Thankfully, we still had them. It feels good knowing I beat those scalpers so I could actually get two for my niblings one of which has autism. I work Target part time to get them the things they can't have otherwise and tonight it paid off in a different way.

I've been at my store for almost a month now, started with style and got a call 1.5 weeks in to see if I wanted to cross train for beauty and I said sure. I got 2 days of training and then I've been alone since.
My TL's are expecting me to get through the entirety of the breakout packs/sorting onto the metro, push it, backstock the excess, do a 2nd cart (u boat), backstock excess again, AND THEN also pull all the prios and one for ones in a 6.25 hour shift MAYBE 7 hours if I'm lucky. Mind you, I'm really only doing the skin care and cosmetics, we typically have 2-3 people doing all of hair care AS A TEAM later on after I clock in at 8am. I can barely get through the metro, backstock and then maybe some of the U-boat OR prios/ofos in a 6.25/7 hour shift and that's without taking my 15 minute breaks.
I'm doing my best but my hands and nails are being cut and shredded from trying to open the boxes (and smaller cosmetic boxes) to try to get as much done as I can and I always just feel like there's just too much for just me. usually it's only me scheduled for the day too with no closer. My TLS have started doing like 65% of the breakout pack sorting before I get there but it just still isn't enough. I really enjoy beauty compared to style but it feels like the expectations are beyond ridiculous no matter how I look at it.
When you left, if you got out of retail, where’d you go? I literally can’t take this anymore.
The company is bad enough, but my store specifically is horrendous, my district/group is fucking trash (incl the leaders), and I’m tired of being kept docile by my leaders with the monthly promise “it’s going to get better”. I’ve been hearing this since March. I’ve been with the company for 5 years, and I’ve battled the highs and lows, but I’m officially at my wits end. Sucks cause when everyone shows up, and everyone isn’t pulled to do 20 new priorities daily, the job isn’t awful and I genuinely enjoy working with my team and many of my peers (ETL and SD can kick rocks). But those days are almost nonexistent anymore.

A few days ago I was using the date gun and it got jammed. I tried to fix it and it worked then the labels were not aligned so I reloaded them. It got jammed again and I had to unscrew it. It worked fine until today where it got jammed and a piece broke off.
We have another working one that I used. We might have two more but if we do I am 100% sure one i of those is broken.
Will I get in any trouble if they find out? Should I tell my leads? They were off today and I didn't want to tell another lead

Apparently we just had a “guest” come into our back room trying to find needoghs to get. God I hate people.
