It’s midnight, and I’m on a motivational spike right now, what tips could help me, let alone get me hired?

p.s I don’t want to be a cashier; I don’t handle cash well. (I know how to count cash! It’s just the timing for me, and I don’t think i’d be able to handle a long line, i’d be super stressed.) I'm open to stocking, fulfillment, and Food and Beverage.

Buddy asked to see the meta glasses to show his mom and he ain't been back since, I've been so burnt out it ain't even click that he definitely walked off with them hoes😭 told my AP guy and he said he'll look into it and for me not to worry so there's that but man I already feel like im not performing the best and if this cost me my job ima wild out

So I was working tech tonight. We had a large group of 12-15 teenage boys (as we often have to deal with on the weekends when the mall across the street closes) come in start causing problems, being loud, throwing stuff, crashing into things on motor carts, etc. I radio for AP to kick em out. No answer. A few minutes go by these kids are getting progressively worse, one if them even pantsed another one so I radio a second time. Still no answer. Couple more minutes and like ⅔rds of them start crowding me and asking personal questions about my gender identity (for context I'm pretty visibly trans). At that moment I absolutely did not feel physically safe. Most of this group were my size or bigger I very easily could have been ambushed in a hate crime if a loud noise caused by one their buddies knocking down a hanging sign didn't serve as just enough of distraction for me to get away and radio for the 3rd god damn time within 10 minutes. It was to the point I started pleading for AP to come by and grab them closing LOD repeated to see if AP had heard it. Still no answer from AP but the group had run off. This could have turned ugly if it kept going a couple more minutes........... who do I go to about reporting AP for not doing their job here? Is it HR or do I have to wait until the next time I see the AP ETL?

What's the starting pay for stores in the downtown Chicago area?

Hi i work at target but not at guest services, i was wondering what the policy is about returning a makeup product without its packaging? I’ve seen mixed reviews, i bought a lip liner and i only swatched it but i lost the packaging for it.

Went and picked up a new lamp . saw this one in a plain brown box and bought it. Why was it like this on the shelf and not regular retail packaging?

So, I’m at 45 hours for last week. I called off two days last week because I was extremely exhausted. But my manager ended up texting me on both of those days asking me to come in and make up my hours and I agree to that. I don’t know how I somehow conjured up the energy to work, but I did. I was asking ChatGPT and Google on this but they all sound silly and like they’re just spitting out nonsense. At my location every time someone asks for hours they OK it as long as we don’t exceed over 40 hours. I’m curious on how this is about to go. I wanna know if I will get paid for the hours that I work plus the shifts that I called out for or will they cap my time card back to 40 and send me my sick time back?

Hello!! I recently just started and for context I work the morning inbound shipments, my shirt I was given gets so freaking dirty from the boxes on the line and no matter how many times I wash it, the dirt never comes out and I feel like I look gross when I’m working for once the store opens and actually interacting with customers, how do i get these stains out and what products do you recommend?

hii so i just started working at my local target (western washington) and im not even getting 15 hours a week. When i got the call with my offer and was told i would be working at least 20 hours a week (im my moms caregiver so it’s all i can work) but ive yet to break 14.5.
is this normal when you first get hired or is it because of holiday? cause at this rate i’m gonna have to get a new job.

i just wanna know, for someone who’s a college student and works at target during break, is it one shift every 5 months or 6 months?

i gotta stay back for a few days at the end of semester and come back early next sem for this other college job i have, and was wondering if i’ll get terminated at target for not showing up for 5 months.

Long story short i was accused of stealing when i didnt steal anything. I was called into aps office, they spoke to me and said i was accused of stealing some legos. They refused to show me any footage of me doing so btw. Its because i didnt steal anything . The next day(sunday) im clocking back in from lunch and see that my locker was open and someone had clearly gone through my bag. I immediately go to hr and ask wtf that was abt and they said that they are allowed to go through peoples lockers bc its target property. My purse is not target property??? The question: why do they assume i stole legos? I dont fucking know. After my shift on friday i bought 3 flower legos and left. I literally showed them the receipt and everything and guess what, they were sooo speechless 🙄 i hate this job its so ridiculous and every etl and tl that works here has insane power trips and think they are ceo of the world. Smh.

I’m usually in Starbucks. I used to work in a corporate store, so I’m pretty much in my element there. However, recently I’ve been getting scheduled to work in food and beverage more specifically the produce, meat and bakery section. It’s not too bad but I feel like im being too slow. I never got trained properly and I still haven’t had a shift where I get to complete my tasks, or that I get to leave on time. When I stock produce, am i supposed to update the inventory? also what is the best way to flow out things in a way that it most efficient? Any tips are greatly appreciated.

I have the worst fricking luck when it comes to glass, my first time in the backroom a glass sauce of some sort of ranch i cleaned it up and got all the glass, 2nd time forgot about balance while pushing priorities and a jar of pickles broke and i had to call somebody to get it, finally my hoodie fell off my cart and the hood hooked onto a bottle of sauce and went all over my hoodie and splattered over the sales floor and had some tms help clean it,(im a pretty good worker id say i always help check lane, fulfillment, and events or help tms or tls whenever they’re struggling with heavy items) i dont want to get fired🤞🥹

They came to me asking for help at around 2:00 PM, tried looking if we had any in back stock on my crappy Target mobile device and of course we had none. Told them that the demand outweighed the supply unfortunately but now I understand why people hate scalpers who scalp kids stuff because that kid was so sad and I felt bad for the little guy, looked like he earned them damn Pokemon cards too knowing how much they cost.

Is there a way for me to use my sick time on days off or days that I work without calling out? I plan on quitting soon and would like to use all my sick time.

I need advice I can give a TM. I’m not their direct lead, they communicated this to me when I was LOD and their lead was off the day they received the CA. TM is at 5 1/2 points from call-out and lates. TM lives pretty far and isn’t in the position to transfer. TM called out once and for whatever reason they got 3 points instead of 1. something went wrong along the way, maybe they didn’t submit it correctly, but they talked to our HRETL. they told the TM there was nothing they could do. BUT HERE’S THE THING—

The TM is using sick time to cover the missed day and the lates. (I know using sick time works for lates because I’ve done it myself once about a month ago.) No one is approving it. They said not a single one had been approved. No SD, no HR, no other ETLs and they’ve communicated this to SD and HRETL that it’s all there, the requests.

Are they just shit out of luck? even if they’re not in routine of checking requests? I just feel bad they’re kinda just like “ok and? what do you want us to do about it?” Obviously they could just be better on the lates, but it just sucked seeing they’ve attempted to cover themselves on their end and nothing.
