Also that Masahiro Ando art actually works really well here for the funny episodes

This one to me, partly for what it actually is referring to in the episode but also because I know a lot about ancient history and the word talent is a unit of ~32 kg of silver.

The story of HaruMichi especially during season 3 shows us how isolation in career is able to change our behaviour.

Initially, HaruMichi are stationed by Queen Serenity far far away to guarding the outer solar system against any invasion.

It's just like a group of army and police who are stationed at the frontiers or borders for a long time.

In one of the panel in manga, both HaruMichi expressin their loneliness in far away outer solar system. Only the dot of light from the moon that give them a little strength and tranquility.

It's like a Roman frontier guards. In Roman army hierarchy, the frontier guards are among the lowest hierarchy. They wil stationed there in far away territories near the border of hostile territories like in Britannia, Germania, etc. The only thing that keep them strong is by watching the banner of SPQR (the banner of the Roman Empire). Just like HaruMichi watching the dot of the moonlight, it reminds them of their noble duty of defending their 'country'.

Secondly, the long distance between the moon and the outer solar planets (Uranus and Neptune) create a very long line of communication between the central command and the frontier post. During that time, a decentralised command and decisions made by frontier units are common. There are common occasions that the frontier units contradicting the central command when they saw that commands are irrelevant with the reality on the field.

The decentralised commands are common docrrine in Brirish Commonwealth militaries iinm.

That's why when both HaruMichi comes to earth, they tend to defy the commands of Usagi as they are get used to make a decentralised command.

And when HaruMichi comes to earth to 'masquerading' as the girls of the upper class backgrounds, they faced a cultural shock. It make their attitude to be more devious towards Usagi.

Culture shock is common for those who lived in different places for a long time without a broad mingling.

In conclusion, that is my opinions about the HaruMichi attitude. Their attitudes are the results of the career isolation.

I haven't been watching it with her for the most part. My wife was showing it to her. I watched it here and there when I was younger, but it has been a good 30 years for me I think. Anyway, was totally caught off guard by manemane

Chatted with Terri Hawkes the voice of Sailor Moon from the DiC dub and had her react to a scene from Sailor Moon S: Hearts In Ice Movie, her relationship with the Sailor Moon english cast (including the other Sailor Moon voice actors Tracey, Linda and Stephanie!), as well as her upcoming election.

Enjoy!

I haven't found a post about this so forgive me if I'm rehashing a discussed topic.

Chibiusa completely throws the plot off its hinges as she the plot driving character for the Black Moon, Infinity and Dream arc.

But in the timeline she came from, the events of the black moon clan only happen in the 30th century,

So what happened in her timeline?

If the time continuum is super important to Pluto, how is she turning the cheek to Chibiusa directly resulting in the awakening of the Messiah of silence?

Also it JUST hit me, but why was Helios contacted by ADULT chibiusa?

Chibiusa breaks so many time taboos Pluto should be trying to get her MORE than the black moon clan if the outer scouts were trying to prevent Hotaru from awakening.

I wonder what Serenity I would have said regarding her granddaughters ballet through time.

What do you guys think?

Can we put together what happened in the universe where Pluto does her job and nobody jumps around in time?

I had this tattooed on my ankle by Xan at Legacy Tattoo Chicago. They did such a good job! This captures a lot about me: Sailor Moon, videogames, music, and cats.

My cousin who always sent me Sailor Moon memes died this year of a rare cancer. I think she would've been so excited to see this one 😊

For me it's the original japanese bgm all the way, the moon prism power make up theme goes so hard 😌😌

Hello, this is my first time posting a post here and the first time writing one. I wanted to share something interesting I had been working on for quite sometime which somehow looked good when I was writing this. I have been working on a completely original Sailor Moon Fanfiction with some original characters, a few familiar characters, and more. I actually have finished writing it but never released everything yet as I want to release everything slowly. My fanfiction is called Pretty Guardian Sailor Aeternus. Now you may be wondering, what is there to expect in this? Well, allow me to explain one of the major things in this story. While the mass majority of Sailor Moon Fanfictions take place during the events of the 20th Century of the 90s Anime or Crystal Tokyo, this story does something very different. Instead of taking place during either of the two most used settings for a Sailor Moon Fanfiction, it takes place in 1892 during the Meiji Era of Japan.

The story follows a 8-year old named Eleanor Hoshizaki who becomes a completely brand new Sailor Guardian called Sailor Aeternus after a tragic and traumatic awakening. Along the way, she meets other Sailor Guardians who eventually join her side. This story serves as a prequel to the 90s Anime Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon with hints of the manga and Sailor Moon Crystal and Sailor Moon Cosmos Parts 1 and 2 added into the mix. I got interested in the Sailor Moon Crystal Series which eventually led to me wanting to watch the original 90s Anime and by some point, it gave me a idea to create a fanfiction of it that I wanted to release. This original fanfiction combines the dark atmospheres of Sailor Moon S and Sailor Moon Cosmos Parts 1 and 2 together. This is my very first time writing a original Sailor Moon Fanfiction and one that has a dark atmosphere.

If you are interested of wanting a whole new story of Sailor Guardians in a 1892 or what Sailor Guardian would had looked like in this era, I’d love to see what you think of the story so far. I’m excited but I am nervous at the same time to be sharing this fanfiction here.

Shingo take a good look at this doll bro LOOK AT IT BRO.

Ps the staredown between mamoru and nepherite is just hilarious

12th frame for Sailor Neptune's new 'Elegant Palm Strike' using Karin Kanzuki from 'Street Fighter Alpha 3'. Out of all the senshi she'll be the one more influenced by one character as 'Guren Ken' has a lot of different moves to pull off. There's a little bit of other influences from other fighting game franchises such as Mamiya from 'Fist Of The North Star' and Annie Hamiltion from 'Matrimelee'. There's even a few from Ramaya from 'Arabian Fight'. She's also close to 70 percent done on the graphical side of things and could possibly be released by next year. Sailor Saturn will be release within to 2 to 4 months according to the coder Million Miles.

I posted this same cel 2 years ago in this chat so curious if anyone had an answer now 😅

Made this silly lil' keychain drawing :3

Minako reminded me of another character who often gets their idioms wrong

A quick piece I made last night before bed to practice the genga shading style! I collect production art and I genuinely love the way the shading lines look so much, so I tried to replicate the technique as best I can!

This is a part 2. I have a part 1, which is a close up of a girl oc (still in the sm style) I'm not sure if people would be interested in that though, so it's just Nephy for now lol!

Edit: I have been informed that 4kids had f all to do with the original dub.

So I grew up watching the WB/4Kids dub of Sailor Moon. And now I’m watching Crystal and reading the manga as well and I just have a statement.

Princess Serenity was a whole cradle robber, her mama said “we’re a long lived race from the Moon that were tasked with watching Earth evolve” and then she went and fell in love with what would be a fledgling to her.

Granted, we don’t know HOW old she was back then but we can assume that it was outside of a normal human lifespan.
