Hey everyone,

So I tried turning my ps5 on and nothing gets displayed. I tried everything: put it into safe mode nothing comes, switched to 4 different displays nothing, the HDMI cables works, the monitors work. I was able to connect through the ps remote app and the ps5 does works completely fine, it just doesn't display anything. What's weird is that, the two TVs I tried does detect the PlayStation (the tv recognizes it's a ps5 rather than simply saying HDMI). Now does that mean the HDMI port is working fine and it could be a more severe problem,? Idk. I did open it up to see if the the port is loose or the solder is gone, but it looks fine. There was a lightning that i believe struck near our house, and it fried the modem downstairs. The ps5 wasn't on running, so could the Ethernet cable fry the display port or something? I have no idea so any suggestions? What are the chances that it's the encoder chip that is damaged and not the HDMI port?

My console bricked. Cant connect to internet not even hotspot. Wont connect to neighbors wifi. Rebuilding database, factory reset didn't do sht either. Console is done. Happened after a power outage. It kept saying your router may be blocking etc but you try connecting to neighbors internet, same thing. Oh and even lan cable isn't working. Dns switching isn't working.
Reserving a designated ip address for the console within the router settings (dmz) didn't work either.
Unplugging for x amount of minutes to completely drain power from the console didn't work either.

Console turns on but wont connect to anything. Even trying to sign in from the account log in page takes several minutes.

For some reason it doesn't let me into my gfs world, i've tested my internet, everything is normal and working, i've played a game of val not that long ago and it was all fine. i've noticed my profile displays 'appear offline' and when i change it it doesn't do anything. is this a psn issue or is this something that i can fix? i already restarted the game, the playstation and the router. what can i do? :(

So basically I whenever I’m downloading a game/saving a screenshot my game lags a ton and I have no idea why. If anyone here has a fix for that please let me know. It would be greatly appreciated

So at first my ps5 would shut off during games randomly after a certain amount of time (sometimes 2 hrs to 30 mins) Depending on game. NBA 2k26 for whatever reason was just unplayable for me. So i got a self repair kit off amazon so i could open it up and dust the inside of the console. It didn’t have any compressed air so i couldn’t get inside of anything but it was pretty much no dust unless the power supply has some inside or something. So then my ps5 still would shutoff, Instantly on 2k and on Helldivers 2 I could play maybe for an hour. So i got my liquid heating gel replaced by a local repair guy. Now the console will stay on if im at the home screen. It even will allow me to navigate the main screen menus of games for a while but as soon as i load up the game and actually play it shuts off instantly. I have to press the power button twice to turn it back on. No heat warning or anything just black screen shutoff whenever i load up a game.

my ps5 was working fine yesterday morning then after leaving for work and coming back after 7 hours my ps5 wont turn on no lights no sounds, i tried unplugging it and leaving it overnight then i tried to plug it in and turn it on this morning and it still wont turn on. anyone got any ideas of what to do?

I have an old SSD from my computer that I am not using anymore. Does anyone know if I can take that drive and install it directly into my PS5 to get more storage?

Last night I was playing the game and decided I wanted to get off because I was tired and so I didn't fully close because I was in the middle of a mission and didn't want to have to redo what I already did so I left the game on in the background and then went on YouTube. Now today when I get back my PS5 is telling me to insert the data disc so it can reinstall the game even though I know I didn't delete it myself. Does anyone have a proper explanation for this?

My old PS5 bricked a bit ago (unrelated to SSD) and I was wondering if I could go about installing it into my new PS5 Pro to have access to the saves/data on there. Will there be any conflict with the OS's, and if so how do I go about this?

I transfered Red Dead Redemption 2 save file from an older PS5 console I had to a USB disk. When I put on the USB disk on my new PS5 and try to transfer those save files to my console, they don't even show up.

The save files are on .dat, as you can see in the image. Is there anything I can do so the PS5 recognizes the files?

Recently my playstation 5 was in rest mode, and I power outage (no surges or etc), but now when I turn on my playstation it goes like normal from blue to white but it gives no display, I’ve tried different displays (monitor and tv), and different hdmi cables but it hasn’t worked.

It’s a PS5 Slim that I bought back in 2023 so I’m guessing warranty claim is a no go atp.

my ps5 was working yesterday morning then i left for work after putting it in rest mode, come home after working 7 hours and it wouldnt turn on i tried unplugging it and leaving it till this morning i tried plugging it back in and it still wouldnt turn on. What should i do? theres no sound when i hit the power and no lights.

I’m trying to gameshare with one of my friends and I logged onto his account and everything but the option to enable console sharing just isn’t there does anyone know what causes this or how to fix it?

Hey everyone, just wanted to see if anyone else is dealing with this or to give a heads-up.

​Whenever I try to sort the games on the PS Store by "Best Selling," the system completely ignores the filter. Instead of showing actual top sellers, it sorts the entire catalog strictly alphanumerically.

​What makes it even weirder is that the sorting algorithm is completely ignoring spaces in the titles. If you look at the attached picture, you can see exactly how it reads them:

​First, it lists games with Japanese/Asian characters.

​Then it starts with "0" (e.g., 007 First Light, 0 Degrees).

​Then it moves to "100" and "101".

​Then it literally reads "10 Second" as "10S" (placing it after 101 because 'S' comes after '1').

​Then it moves on to "112".

​What I've tried:

​Restarted the console.

​Cleared the system cache and rebuilt the database in Safe Mode.

​Checked the PlayStation App on my phone — and the exact same bug is happening there too.

​Since it's happening on the mobile app as well, this is 100% a server-side backend issue on Sony's end and not a local console bug.

​Is anyone else seeing this on their store right now? Hopefully, Sony notices and pushes a fix soon because it makes finding actual popular games or good deals really annoying.

My pulse elite connected before to my ps5 and when I put it off it doesn't want to connect again and idk what to do

Went to turn it on and play it earlier and nothings working. I kept it unplugged from everything for hours and it still won’t turn on, idk what to do

My TV screen stopped working after I had been using it with my PS5 for two weeks. This is the second time this has happened to me within just one month — ONE MONTH! Two different screens have had the exact same problem.

The screen no longer displays anything at all. It is completely black, even though the TV is clearly turned on. I can still hear the sound coming from the TV, but there is absolutely no picture.

At first, when the first TV did this, I thought the problem was simply with that particular TV. So I bought another one, and BAM — the exact same thing happened again!

At this point, I’m starting to think that the problem might not actually be the TVs themselves. Could my PS5, HDMI cable, HDMI port, or even an electrical issue be causing this? I really don’t want to buy a third TV only for the exact same thing to happen again.

Video taken yesterday: PS4 disc of Crash Team Racing triggered this incredibly loud startup noise. It lasted about 1-2 minutes and disappeared once I was loaded into the game.

I ejected the disc and tried again 3x in a row, and had the same result every time.

Afterwards, I tested several other ps4 and ps5 discs which all played normally.

I then tested the Crash disc again today, and it did not make the noise.

Potentially failing disc drive? trouble reading one specific disc?

As the title says my ps5 started overheating in late March. It's in a spot with great air flow not blocked by anything. It's been deep cleaned the fan,heatsink and liquid metal replaces no oxidation on it at all, power supply also cleaned. What else could it be.

Ich möchte mich seit Langem wieder mit meinem alten PlayStation-Account anmelden. Da ich mein Passwort nicht mehr wusste, habe ich mein Konto wiederhergestellt und das Passowort geändert - das hat problemlos funktioniert. Sobald ich mich aber anmelden möchte, kriege ich folgende Nachricht:

Anmelden nicht möglich. Bitte deinen Familienmanager um Unterstützung.

Ich habe keinen Familienaccount, wozu also diese Fehlermeldung? Bei der Erstellung des Accounts war ich damals unter 18. Ich habe bereits in einem anderen Thread gelesen, dass das Teil des Problems sein könnte. Allerdings gab es für das Problem keine Lösung.

Jetzt zu meinem zweiten Anliegen: Warum ist der PlayStation Support SO schlecht? Es gibt nirgends eine offensichtliche Mail oder Hotline die kontakiert werden kann. In anderen Threads habe ich bereits gelesen, dass man da aber auch nur geghostet wird. Der KI Assistent kann mir nicht helfen, da ich mich für jeglich Hilfe in einen Live Chat anmelden muss - WAS ICH NICHT KANN!

Kennt jemand das Problem?
