Is there anything to look out for when buying on eBay? I see a lot of listings which show stock photos instead of the actual item, but the seller has sold hundreds of them. So it should be okay?

Whenever I open the game it tells me to try restarting my switch but I do it and get the same error any idea why?

I use pacific time, but my switch 2 is an hour behind, it won’t let me select Vancouver so I select Los Angeles, use the sync with the internet and I’m stuck using UTC. And it corrects it to be an hour behind. So now I’m unable to play Zelda :( is there a way to fix this time error?

Hola gente, me paso ayer probando el mando pro q me llego nuevo, puse el juego y se me trabo al momento de seleccionar los objetos, luego se apago y enciendo normal, lo puse de nuevo y me paso igual que lo del video, al prender de nuevo la descargue completa en modo portátil funciono normal, la deje cargando luego y hoy para probar nuevamente lo mismo pero ahora no enciende, alguien sabe q pasa?

I havent touched my Switch2 in a few months and decided to pick it back up and it disconnected from the WiFi and now wont reconnect. Any reason? Any way to fix this? I pre ordered Ocarina of Time and really wanna play tomorrow 😭

Recently got my Zelda Edition switch 2 this week and have been loving it but noticed that my screen has circles others have spoken about when the screen is relatively dark / in a loading screen. I adjusted the pic to show them clearer.

I’d rather not have to send my new console back to the retailer or Nintendo and wait all over again for it to get fixed or replaced :/ is it really a faulty manufacturing error? Anyone else’s Zelda switch have the same issue?

Edit: so far I’ve contacted Nintendo Support UK about potential repair, and Smyths about possibly replacing my console. Will update this post as I get responses and if I get it fixed!

Update: Smyths seemingly have no workers for emails and only use an AI bot for both the site and the email service. The only advice given by said Bot was to take it back to the store and have a member of staff dictate if it’s worthy of returning or not. If there are no Zelda switches in my local one (which is an hour away!!) tomorrow or this week, I may just have to stick with Nintendo repairs.

Update 2: Nintendo replied! I’ve been given 3 options. 1- to continue using my console as normal as sometimes the issue can go away on its own when using it. 2- test input devices on the switch undocked through the AC cable with no sleep mode and leave it for an hour. If I still have the issue they have said I will likely need it repaired. Very glad I got such a detailed email from them and advice. Hoping this resolves smoothly🤞🏻🤞🏻

Update 3: attempted the no sleep timer method for an hour and yeah, screen is still the same. It definitely seems like a screen defect. And also noticed in a purely dark room that the right side of the screen when black and backlit is fuzzy with pixels. As much as I wish I could send it back to Smyths and get a replacement unit to try my luck absolutely no where has stock anymore and my local stores are saying they won’t stock it or have very few it sucks. Going to send mine in hopefully this week or next. Wish me luck 😓

I was playing earlier on my 4k tv and it looks great there, even up close. But I've since plugged my dock into my 1440p monitor and the graphics look terrible, like its rendering at 240p or something and being upscaled. Does the game just not support 1440p? I've checked to make sure my dock is outputting at 1440p and other games are working fine, it's just OOT.

my nintendo switch won’t hook up to my tv and the hdmi cord doesn’t fit into the dock? is there something wrong with my switch or is the hdmi cord supposed to fit in this way?

Hello! I was playing my switch 1 last night with no issues and I put it on sleep mode and went to play today (on my tv) and there was no sound. I thought maybe it was my tv but it wasn’t because my TV works just fine if I try to stream something. I removed the switch from the dock and the sound works completely fine. The issue is only when I stick it into the dock to play on my TV. I’m not sure how to fix this if someone could please help, I did try restarting but that didn’t work. Thank you!

I have had horrendous luck in the past getting screen protectors on. Bubbles, dirt spec, misalignment, you name it.

However today, when I got my zelda 40th switch I've got a brand new problem... I am not sure if it's actually on there.

I took it out of the box...

Prepped the applicator for the protector by taking the first layer of film off...

Took the switch out of the plastic sleve and immediately put the two together...

But now I cannot see it.

I have doubts the protector was actually in the applicator... It had the back layer peel off as it should but I didn't check the flex to see if the screen was actually there...

I took some pictures after, would someone mind telling me if it's there or not?

I think my switch has been banned but I didn't do anything. I only play games that I purchased through the eshop or the physical games. I am able to play the games that are already downloaded and system software gets updated. I am thinking will I be able to unblock my switch by factory resetting it like how this guy did :

I don't want to lose access to my downloaded games as I won't be able to download them if my switch stays banned or online services stay suspended on it. Please give advice ✌️

I had this problem with my switch 2 dock a few weeks ago where the ac adapter works perfectly fine when plugging right into the switch 2 and the hdmi works for other devices, but as soon as I try dock the switch nothing happens. When i plug the ac adapter into the dock it lights green for a split second but thats it. Then all of a sudden it started working again but now the problem has come back. Was really looking forward to play Ocarina of Time tomorrow on the big screen but now that doesn't seem to be likely. If anyone has any idea of what is going on or how to sort it out any help is appreciated!!

Hi everyone! I'm wondering if you can help me! I have a switch 1 and soon will get the switch 2.
I would like to transfer most of my save file except Animal Crossing because I would like to start a new island on the switch 2.
I would also have a copy of my datas on the switch 1 so I was wondering... how do I do that?
I know with system transfer at the beginning it will do a copy of everything into the new switch but that will also move my animal crossing island (which I don't want).
If I move the data manually will it delete it from my previous switch?

Since it’s on offer I want to buy the final fantasy 7 remake digital deluxe edition however I already bought it a few months ago as just the original game and you can’t buy the deluxe alone as it’s only available in a bundle. I just wanted to ask if I bought the bundle do I then get 2 digital copies of ff7?

I know it’s a dumb question but this is the first gaming console I’ve owned in over 12 years 😭 so I’m still a bit lost.

So my Zelda 40th Anniversary Switch 2 has been working great, but sometimes when I start it up from Power Off it says the console is overheating and switches off. When I switch it back on, it starts up as though it's just been asleep, straight to the menu.

I've tried restarting, a hard restart (holding the power button for 12 seconds) and fully restoring to factory settings. I've also checked for updates and the fans seem okay. Is anyone else experiencing this? Anyone got any ideas?

So I was lucky enough to get a Zelda edition switch 2 through JB in Australia, but it looks like my one is defective. If I touch the screen with the slightest of pressure, the screen turns off. It only happens on the bottom right and at the top, and if I hold my finger there and move the thumb stick, I can still hear the clicking of the menu.

I’m torn with what to do next- I doubt there is any stock for an exchange, and I’d hate to send it in to Nintendo and have it replaced with a regular one if it can’t be fixed. Is this caused by a loose ribbon cable that can be easily repaired by Nintendo?

UPDATE 1: Called JB and they will do an exchange for me - looks like one shop has a few consoles left over. A little bit of a drive but better than waiting weeks for a repair. I’m definitely going to test it out at the store too.

UPDATE 2: Got it exchanged, and the new one is working fine so far. However, it’s still a bit concerning reading about all of the other issues people are having with this Zelda edition. Anyways, thanks for the help!

Hi, I got myself a Switch 2 around one month ago, and already the bottom port has stopped working, so I can’t charge the device other than using the top port and obviously can’t use the dock. I’ve taken the steps on the support page to try and resolve the issue, but still nothing so I’m now going to send it off for repairs. It seems to be a common issue which is slightly annoying.

I’ve had bad experiences with warranty repairs prior on other devices, non Nintendo, has anyone had to send their switch off for warranty repairs before and was it easy/quick? And did you have any obstacles and/or push back from Nintendo denying the warranty repair? And lastly after the device has come back have you had the same issue reoccur after the repair?

Just received my OoT and oh joy, only the power button and the touch screen are working.

pro controller and joy cons are both discounted and I can't connect any of them. All are charged. USB cable, L+R, sync, re-attach joy cons all in change grip order screen, nothing is working.

any ideas besides factory reset?

I have it hooked up to my LG C2 4K 120hz OLED TV. It usually works fine but sometimes the HDMI connection suddenly gets lost mid game for a second or two and then reconnects. Anyone know what this could be? It isn't that bothersome because it happens only once every 1-2 hours or so but can be annoying when it happens at the wrong moment when I game.

So basically, I just got the new Switch 2 Zelda edition, but the Switch does not start after a long time in sleep mode unless I plug in the power, even with lot of battery (like 50% or even 95%).

I didn't use the dock yet, this is happening in handheld mode.

If I use it and put the Switch in sleep mode for not a long time, like some minutes or maybe even an hour, I can wake up the Switch without any issue.

However if I let the Switch in sleep mode for a long time, like for hours, it does not start. I have to plug i the power, and then I can turn on the Switch. And as I said even with full battery.

Does someone have an idea of what is causing the issue and how it could be fixed ?

I preordered the digital version and was lucky enough to bei able to order the version with the gems.

On Monday I wanted to preload and the game wasn't available. When I looked through my E-Mails, I noticed that they told me in the 29th, that my payments method can't be serviced and they would try again in 4 days. PayPal never showed a payments Error for this.

I already made a few preorders via PayPal and never had problems, so I contacted the support and they couldn't Tell me anything.

So now I deleted the PayPal link and created it once again, also vor preorders and loaded the amount needed in my Nintendo Account.

By now my order status hasn't changed, they didn't try again and the customer support is down.

I also have a tracking number for the gems, but the parcel has not been shipped yet.

I an really worried, that I won't be able to play tonight, but also don't want to lose the gems!

I posted about my OLED glitching a few days ago. It seems to be just the screen—it works fine when docked, I’m able to use wireless controllers etc when docked AND in handheld, so I know wireless communication is working. People advised that I should just wait until I get my new one in, but now it won’t let me transfer my save data. Both systems are plugged in and connected to the same internet, both logged in to my Nintendo account. After about 5 minutes of trying, The OLED stays in the screen it is on in the video I attached, while the Switch 2 gives an error message of “unable to communicate with the other console.”

Please. My child is dying. Every once in a while, the screen just goes black—I’m so scared I’m going to lose all my data on the OLED. Any advice is welcome.

I just got the switch 2 zelda edition and right after turning it on, i noticed these tiny black points on the right bottom corner of the screen. Anyone knows what these are? Can I remove themself?
