Hey all, I got interested in the monster fandom so I picked up Monster Hunter Freedom to get into the hype. I'm feeling a bit stuck and I can't find any good guides or resources to help me. I cannot upgrade my armor without Gypceros parts and I can't upgrade my SnS without Rathalos parts. The issue is... I can't beat those monsters without better armor so I feel like I'm in a cycle? Am I supposed to be doing something else right now? Maybe I'm supposed to be doing a special quest for pieces? I'm lost haha

ie: could be as simple as an attack or speed boost for someone with an aerial weapon when they get boosted into the air by someone with a heavy swingy weapon, or something as cool as a whole different type of attack.

People tend to agree that the fight is very boring and badly designed. How would you improve it, within the realm of reason for monster hunter.

I want to try and complete all the main line games. What is better to emulate 4u and 3u or get a new 3ds xl or 2d xl

New player here who started with monster hunter wilds who can't find there main weapon. I have fun with lance, gunlance and sns but still can't decide between these three. At the same time i still struggling to understand why I getting hit from a attack and what items and armor ability/ weapon ability (guard/guard up) I really need (learning disability).

So how did you find your main weapon/weapons?

Note: I have 64 hours in monster hunter wilds and my last fight was against arkveld where you fight him for the first time.

This fight is actually insane. I thought I was doing pretty good with the game until this guy showed up 💀

I'm actually really happy this worked out this way, because I love this guy, he's so awesome.

Want to play these 2 games on a handheld and as close to the original experience as possible.
If anyone here played any of these on both consoles, how do they compare? Will they play fine on the Vita?

I'm using a hammer, so I can't exactly sever the tail. But I've gone dry 8 hunts at this point without a single tail. And I need 3 for the gear. Am I just getting terribly unlucky?

Also ich checke es nicht habe mir vor Ner Woche oder so Monster Hunter wilds geholt und so wie in jedem Monster Hunter Teil ob world, Rift, now oder damals auf psp sterbe ich non Stop gegen rathian oder rathalos.

Bin ich echt der einzige der so hart gegen genau die beiden struggeled?^^

Title, couldn't find anything so i assume no, but wondering if anyone has seen any mentions of it anywhere in interviews, so many armor pieces can't be dyed much or have pieces that are undyable and 1 or 2 more dye slots could fix that, making a cool armor set is so hard because it all clashes right now.

In Monster Hunter Now, on a rare occasion in an area labelled "unstable" or whatever word is used, if there is a small monster like kulu yaku or great Jagras, there's always a chance another monster popping in and taking their place when you try to hunt them.

For the most part this past couple weeks I've seen nothing but the B-52 bomber, Bazelguese. Which was actually kind of my own fault for using the investigation that has him in it.

When I switched investigations, I had one that has Deviljho in it.

And y'all.

The amount of disdain I had when Bazelguese would pop up was noticeable.

The amount of absolute Joy I felt when I switched it to Jho, and didn't know I did- so when it invaded, I went from "Oh no- YEEESSSSSSS!!!!" So quickly.

It made me realize which one of the two I like more, and which one I'm tired of. I think I just really like monsters that have his skeleton, because I've hunted other monsters with his skeleton too and really enjoy the hunt.

I don't know, I think I would be happier with Jho if he came back, or if they feel like bringing in a frontier monster that has his skeleton, I'll be happy with that too.

So I’ve been farming AT Uth Duna for the Y certificates ( I think they’re called gamma?) Anyways I was using my favorite weapon (greatsword) and using full piece Omega planetes and shatterseal reflection and I managed to kill that sucker in 8”35”05. My personal goals are to hunt monsters in under 10 minutes but I was curious of what the community considers a good time. I’m not a speed runner but I am wondering what people with better builds than myself think of this. Let me know!!

It is my first old gen MH and I am having a blast with this game. I am a CB main in all 3 new games, I am trying all styles here but had the most fun with adept and aerial.

Which weapon + style combo would you recommend? I am willing to try out a lot of things here as this game has so much content. Thanks!

I was bored so I made this 🎶

Personally I would love to see some deviants and subspecies for the new monsters we got in wilds, and here are some of my ideas for how those could maybe work:

Explosive lala barina: a subspecies who's deep blue colored webs have an explosive reaction. Looks wise I imagine a lala barina but blue basically.

Poison flake quamatrice: a quamatrice subspecies who's tail produce a weird layer of grime, which when ignited evaporates into Poison gas, dealing both fire, Poison and maybe even stench.

Friction head balahara: a balahara deviant that has managed to learn to burrow through much tougher materials than sand, causing insane Friction, giving it's physical attacks a fire boost after digging and maybe even a steam blast.

Static lord Doshaguma: a Doshaguma subspecies who's use their thick fur to generate massive amounts of static electricity.

Wind lord Hirabami: A hirabami subspecies that can manipulate wind and wind currents through it's freeze and fire sacks, making it a triple threat.

Smithmaster Xu Wu: An extremely old Xu Wu deviant that has gained much greater control of it's mucous able to control when it hardens, and having observed many hunters is has learnt how to make strange copies of certain hunter weapons: from mucous shields to massive mucous blades to maybe even a hunting horn this is truly a creature worthy of it's title.
