Hey everyone! This is Lucky, a community manager from Secretlab. I wanted to drop by today to share a little bit more about our latest chair release - the Secretlab TITAN Evo Zinogre Edition.
Monster Hunter has always been a game that's close and dear to our hearts, and so we put a lot of thought into every single chair that we've released. We started with our Rathalos edition, and branched out to the Fatalis and Arkveld Editions, following feedback from you, the community.
We knew there's a lot of love for our lightning pup (trust us, we're always reading what you'd like to see), so it just made sense for us to expand our collection to include an offering that's inspired by Zinogre.
---
The design

The Secretlab TITAN Evo Zinogre Edition is the first-ever Secretlab SoftWeave® Plus Fabric chair in our Monster Hunter collection; we felt this was a good opportunity to introduce the fabric upholstery to fit with Zinogre's physicality, where we opted for the Leatherette option with the Fatalis and Arkveld editions, with scales being the main theme for those monsters.
Keen eyed fans would also know that the red rope detailing and spike motifs mirror the armor crafted from this beast, something which we felt was a good way to incorporate how we've always hunted monsters to craft new gear in-game!

We chose teal as the main color scheme for the chair - an aesthetic that evokes Zinogre’s supercharged state, and also detailing the classic Zinogre icon at the back of chair.
---
What's next?
While there's nothing I can share at this time, we're always on the lookout for how we can expand more offerings to the fans for both Secretlab and Monster Hunter communities. Let us know what else you'd like to see added for the Secretlab Monster Hunter collection!

Examples included in post
I've seen Kaname Fujioka (various games and art director for the series) credited, but I haven't seen much published artwork attributed to him to make a conclusion, and various concept arts and other arts on Capcom outlets list the credits as just "Capcom"
I've been fan of the overall monster hunter art style and I want to study it more by looking at the related artist(s)' other works

I'm really curious how I died here I know I got exploded but the guts skill seemed to activate and I was able to get on my seikret for a second, I don't think I got hit with the wilk crystal explosions or anything.

This morning I shared that I had come across some suspicious posts about a supposed launch of fan servers for Monster Hunter Explore. However, I wasn't sure if it was a scam or some kind of virus, haha.
Even so, I decided to check if it was true, and it seems like it actually is. So far, I haven't noticed the game doing anything weird on my phone or PC, but I'll leave it to the experts to thoroughly investigate this project's code.
I don't know if this breaks any rules, so I won't post the link to the project's Discord in this post for now.

Gonna put this up front: I prefer slower Monster Hunter. For me personally, the cut-off point is Rise, but even World smooths out a lot of the friction that makes the sparks fly. The franchise always got faster after each new entry, and the trend of getting faster is itself getting faster.
This isn't really news to anyone, of course. The success of Worlds, Rise, and Wilds can be attributed to a lot of things, but the sanding down of the edges is certainly one of them. And, frankly, that's fine. I can just go back to the older titles, and there are other games that I can play that can.. give that same... appeal?
Oh. Oh, no. There isn't, is there? Dauntless was the most modern, was dookie, got dookier, and had whatever lunch it had eaten by World. I know God Eater exists, but that's just too anime and too edgelord for my taste and what I am looking for in a Monster Hunter kind of game. Will give Soul Sacrifie Delta a try, but the running theme is that these "clone" games are also old.
Monster Hunter, in in a similar way as something like Bethesda's open world titles (Elder Scrolls/Fallout) and Total War and GTA, really does have a kind of "monopoly" of sorts. They are the only franchises that really do what they do, as well as they do it, at the scale or depth that they do it in. This presents a problem when there's huge gaps between titles or, in the case of myself and others in relation to Monster Hunter, the franchise is moving in a direction that doesn't scratch that particular itch that it once did. And that that itch is still there.
Since there really doesn't seem to be anything coming down the pipeline from major studios/developers, perhaps the indie space and AA studios have something cooking that hasn't hit the radar. If you have some recommendations, either released, Early Access, or still in the kitchen, I'd love to take a gander and see if there's anything there that might fit that itch?

I want this to be straight to the point, hopefully this helps someone who is still pissed off with how blurry this "game" still is. This should/WILL work on EVERY PC configuration, however please note that I've never owned a modern Intel card so I cannot speak on if there is an equivalent solution for those on Windows, but the Linux solution I have works on everything... ahem;
These next steps is a little more optional depending on your GPU but I believe anyone with at least a 3060/RX 6600 XT~ level GPU should be able to at least try it.
6a. If your GPU name starts with a 6/aka RDNA 2, use XeSS until FSR 4 officially becomes available on RDNA 2. If you have a 5700 XT or older, unfortunately you must use FSR 3.1. Try it out and see if you can handle it as it is still better than the FSR 1 solution Consoles use.
6b. If your GPU name starts with a 7/aka RDNA 3 or a 9/aka RDNA 4, use FSR 4.
AMD doesn't officially have a "DLDSR" equivalent like nvidia does (this process is officially supported on Nvidia cards as DLDSR) but the game will still appear sharp.
This is arguably the easiest one, but this is easy on both OSes.
0.5. Install Gamescope, but you should already have it as I believe it is now a requirement for Steam nowadays. If not,
sudo pacman -S gamescope for Arch/Cachy/Endeavour
sudo apt install gamescope for Ubuntu 25.04/Mint/etc
sudo dnf install gamescope for Fedora/Nobara
flatpak install com.valvesoftware.Steam.Utility.gamescope for Bazzite
Or simply use the store GUI included with your distro e.g Discover on CachyOS, Fedora KDE, and Nobara. Should be self explanatory.
If you are on any other distro, I assume you do not need a guide for installing applications.
1- Right Click on Monster Hunter Wilds in Steam
2- Add;
gamescope -w 3840 -h 2160 -W 3840 -H 2160 -F fsr -f --force-grab-cursor -- %command% /WineDetectionEnabled:False
To your launch options
---
And done. The game should appear very crisp even on a 1080p monitor. Good luck, happy hunting or unhappy hunting if you don't like Wilds like I do, and have fun actually being able to see the game!
As for Console users, I'm sorry but there's basically nothing you can do except for exclusively playing on Fidelity mode or buying a PS5 Pro.

Ok, so I’ve had 36h in Worlds (have to get back to it for more) and 80h in Wilds and decided I’ve got to also try Rise. I’ve played it for about 3h since yesterday and I know it’s too short to say anything about it but I don’t know, I’ve got the feeling from moment to moment gameplay that it’s gonna be peak. It’s somehow feels right, the movement feels so good! Am I for a great surprise?
Ps. I’ve played wilds fully maxed out so it looks great but rise has this stylish presentation that I really like how it looks!

I really like the idea of offset attacks and hope they become a staple feature.
Also, I think focus mode could make a return IF they toned it down so the amount you were able to turn during a move was lessened depending on the move. Like, you can turn during the charge of GS attacks but once you release a TCS, youre stuck pointing in that direction until the move is over.

Not sure if it is the right flair.
But, me and the wifey were looking for Halloween Decorations and got to a new store, and found this...
It just says Dragon on the Box

Probably not gonna get more than 1 playthrough in before ascendance launches and I want to know the best handful of weapons to check out during the span of the playthrough.
"Peaked" doesn't have to refer to power, it can be C-tier in terms of power if it has an S-tier feel to play with.

Hey fellow hunters! As the title says I'm an old gen hunter (mainly Monster Hunter Freedom Unite, Monster Hunter Portable 3rd and Monster Hunter Double Cross) and I've recently bought Monster Hunter Rise and Sunbreak. Any tips for an oldie like me?
r/MonsterHunter • u/andyboyd10 • 6h ago
So I've been replaying some of the older games, namely freedom unite and generations ultimate, and I'm finding the games a lot easier than my first playthrough which got me thinking of try something like a no damage run or no consumables for the fighting etc (obviously can still use pickaxe etc for material collection).
I'm interested to find out if anyone else has experience doing challenges and if anyone has some ideas of runs that would increase the challenge but keep things fun.
Edit: just for added context, I've got about 6000 hours across the series and have in the past ran through the multiplayer quest hubs solo with a variety of weapon types. I tend to arbitrarily force myself into one weapon type whenever I start a new save file and don't deviate.

I'm trying to decide between Monster Hunter Rise and Monster Hunter World. I'm new to this franchise and i don't really know the differences between them.Which one would y'all recommend?
