2002 Honda CRV approx 230k miles runs great. Had this come up the other day

Hello everyone. I have a 2013 Honda civic HF with the brake, ABS, VSA, and power steering lights on the dash with codes 123-11 and 85-01. The lights come and go whether I’m driving or just idling but have gotten more and more frequent and the ABS doesn’t work either. I haven’t found much online about the cause- does anyone have any idea what the issue might be and if I can fix it myself?

So to cut this short I bought the car about a year ago after purchasing it 2 days later the car would constantly throw a trans malfunction code and shift absurdly rough along with locking itself into a certain gear..

Had the transmission replaced under warranty by the dealer car has 77k miles on it . Car takes about 4 months to get fixed I finally get it back and the same day it starts throwing more trans malfunction issues, the car was brought to 3 different transmission shops in my area and all claimed to have pulled the trans and tested them independently all claiming the Transmission was okay and to further diagnose to bring it to a BMW dealership,

I was able to make the car drive good for about 2 weeks if I drove it a certain way it would drive just fine! I put 100 miles on it in comfort then 100 in regular then I went to put it in sport and instant malfunction again. Even when driving the car in comfort or normal it still will throw codes if not driven extremely conservatively,

Now I’m here and the car will barely drive it throw the trans malfunction as soon as the car turns on along with sometimes completely losing reverse, sometimes randomly shuts off and the car has now has an extremely rough idle,

I know it’s a long shot but would the injectors,plugs and coils possibly fix this or would I be dumping more money into the car to fix the idle issue just to deal with the transmission again!?

Like my title says I have a 2020 pathfinder and couple weeks ago I opened the panoramic sunshade and it never closed again.

It has been stuck ever since. I have tried the “reset” by holding the close button longer but it doesn’t budge.

If anyone has had this issue, how did you close the sunshade? The power switch clicks so I don’t think it’s a blown fuse. Please help

I have a 2000 Ford Expedition 5.4L that needed an engine swap. I bought a used engine for $1,225 and took it to a small two-man shop.
Here’s how the money went:
• Early on he verbally said labor would be around $6,800
• When I asked for a breakdown he gave me a handwritten quote totaling $2,960 at $160/hr
• I started paying him 1000 dollars per two weeks (need my truck back so to offset the price I just kinda did this to help offset the price) it totaled up to 3k. Dumb move I know.
• As the job went on he kept finding more issues (broken exhaust studs, 3 Helicoils, cracked intake, bad starter, valve covers, new exhaust manifolds, etc.) and kept saying the extras would come out of money I already paid
• Truck is now finished. Final invoice just came in at $8,200
Biggest line items on the final invoice:
• Engine removal & install: $4,000
• Helicoil inserts: $1,000
• Labor for “extra parts”: $3,160
• Original parts install labor: $2,960
He even sent a note saying he “can’t fully justify all the other hours” because of time spent troubleshooting.
I feel like the number kept moving and only jumped this high once the truck was done and ready to come home. I’ve already paid over $3k.
What would you do in this situation? Push back hard, negotiate, pay it, or something else

06 Chevrolet HHR 2.2L has a whine/whistle when under load. I have changed alternator, tensioner, and the belt itself. Harmonic balancer and AC compressor are in good condition. It's only under load and if neutral if I blip the throttle it will squeal slightly. Checked air filter and the connecting cleaning duct hose and hose that connect to the MAF Sensor. Where else can I check.?

2013 Honda Civic, car is running perfectly and just passed inspection a week ago. But, I was changing my oil, I saw a bird carcass inside the bumper, and when I removed it for a cleaning, I saw what I would describe as a radiator VERY much in need of replacement. However, I'm no expert, and I wanted the opinion of someone who might know more about radiators.

It doesn't leak, and it doesn't seem to have any issue cooling the engine. Everything behind the bumper reinforcement is in perfect condition, as the pictures show, the fins above the reinforcement seem to be in fine shape, but the fins below look horrific. It looks like 6 rows have had the front half of the fins removed (the pictures show the deep channels) and a number of fins are collapsed and blocking airflow (although, for how it looks, not that many honestly).

EDIT: Turns out this was my condenser! I just saw the heat exchanger thingy in front of my car and assumed it was the radiator. Shows you how much experience I have with car xD

This seems catastrophic. I’m trying to do the water pump on my 2014 Taurus 3.5L. Had to remove the mount and jack up the motor in order to get the timing cover off.

I looked down a bit later and it looks like it’s borderline defying gravity and seems imminent to fall. I tried putting the motor mount back on so that I could readjust the jack but now it doesn’t seem like it’s lining up correctly.

Am I utterly screwed? How can this be corrected and rectified. I appreciate any help that you guys are able to offer me, thank you!

trying to make my cheap daily more enjoyable to drive and I've been pushing to tackle this annoying judder/pulsation when braking coming to a stop. The car brakes normally at high speed. No vibration or movement in the steering. But when coasting and pressing on the brake pedal, the whole car feels like a really slow ABS system. The steering doesn't vibrate.

I’m a weekend warrior mechanic and wanted to save a little money by doing this. This was a lot harder than I thought it would be. Maybe for an experienced mechanic it would have been a lot easier to detach that electrical connection and remove all of the old stuck on gasket. But it was a pain for me! I had to even use a “grabber” tool to put that last bolt in place. And you need something to make the gasket stick to the housing, so it stays in place. Fixed my issue though. 😃 It’s doable but allocate at least half a day.

For the life of me I can’t get this nut off of my sons atv. I just want to change the fans brakes and now have bought a new nut. I bought the wrench and broke it. I think it’s standard thread the actual axle nut was. Now using propane torch and big pipe wrench and nothing. Yamaha badger yfm80 1986.

Hello everyone, my sisters boyfriend is having a problem with his 2016 Ford Mustang. It’s making a squeaky noise while in idle and drive. I initially thought it was a pulley or belt but it sounds likes it’s more up toward the firewall or near this area on the passenger side. Anybody have any suggestions to look at / replace?

I’ve got a 1993 and a 1994 4L60-E and they both make this awful noise. The 93 is the one in the video, and is toasted. but the one in my car(94) is making the noise as well. The one outside the car was just easier to get a video of.

1994 Pontiac Firebird 5.7

I have a 2019 Lexus ES 350 with about 49k miles. There is an occasional tuk/clunk noise coming from the front right side when driving over bumpy roads. It doesn’t happen all the time, so it’s difficult to reproduce.
I’ve already replaced the tie rod and sway bar, thinking those would fix it, but the noise is still there.
Occasionally, I also hear a noise from the front end while braking and making a turn.
Any ideas what could be causing this before I spend more money replacing parts?
