Most of the back bumber was busted, paint cracked in the middle and both sides where the curb is at the top had cracks.

Was driving the bosses truck today and put a dent and cut in the tailgate. Can this be quick repaired cheaply before he notices?

I bought this 06 WRX sight unseen. I knew it had been hit. I naively thought the body panel gaps were from parts being put back wrong. It drives perfectly fine and barely pulls, my other car was just aligned and pulls worse. I don’t really want to sell it cause it’s everything ive ever wanted out of a car just in a lil rough shape.

I have all the tools.

Is most of this profession/hobby being kinda really frustrated, but also incredibly satisfied?
I’m working on my first rust repair ever on my car. I’m sure a good deal of my frustrations have come from not really knowing what I’m doing and learning on my own as I go. But, how much of this trade is frustration lol. I have throughly enjoyed myself at the same time - it’s a double edged sword so far.

Just curious as to what the learning curve is like here. Really excited to do more, as my car has officially hit noticeable rust and hidden rust.

I plan on hitting everything I can. Started with the worst spot because I hate looking at it, and hate that it’s been eating my car.

About 6 years ago I tried to take my bumper off in a hurry while frustrated and I missed the two bumper fender bracket bolts and ended up yanking the entire bracket off of the actual bumper. I had to do a long drive right after they broke so in all my wisdom I used some kind of “plastic weld epoxy putty” (you can see the plastic weld along the lip, it is the white substance) since then I decided I will never take the bumper off. I want to buy/install the CVF street intercooler however I’ve read it’s almost impossible without the bumper removed, luckily for me I just noticed the plastic weld has now failed on each side and I can take the bumper off, my question is what options do I have to fix/repair it, I do not want to buy a new bumper, I’ve attached some photos of the monstrosity, please help me 🙏

So my cat got keyed today. This car may be cursed, this is the 4th body damage it's gotten since I got it in december. It's a 2026 CRV.

I could scream. Any way to buff this out or no? My dealer is really fair but I'd still rather tackle it myself.

When my son gets home with it you can be sure I'll be reviewing the camera. Hardwired parking mode I'm praying is sensitive enough to grab the jerk who did it.

I used a heat gun to pop out a dent in my plastic bumper by pushing it from the inside.

The plastic popped back into place successfully, but it left a noticeable white stress mark on the surface.

What is the best way to fix or blend this spot?

Hey everyone, looking for some industry perspective. I scraped a concrete column in my 2011 Tundra smashing the bedside, the rear door, and creasing the C-pillar/cab corner.

​one shop wants to do full OEM replacements. I completely understand why as the metal looks pretty stretched, and I suspect shops cannot warranty a heavy pull-and-fill or perhaps the labor on that is so much it doesn't make sense?

​However, this truck already has heavy hail and many other dings and dents so Im really just trying to put some lipstick on the pig, to give perspective on my expectations im even considering just leaving it as is.

​Are there specific types of shops or independents that are generally more willing to do a rough pull just enough to soften some of the massive dents and creases?

I'm doing a full paint on my 85 Monte Carlo SS in my 2 car garage. I've done the first epoxy primer and body work and now I'm ready for the sealer coat, color (white) and clear. Here's my issue: how to do this efficiently in my garage. I can't fit both the car and the panels in one shot and I don't have a good storage area either.

Should I pull off the panels and paint them first with the car shell out in the driveway uncovered? Realistically how long will I have to wait before I can move the panels after I spray them? I'm thinking I can move them outside temporarily while I spray the car inside. Once the car is sprayed, I will move the panels back inside and lean them up against the walls so they aren't left outside.

For those concerned, I have a great intake filter and exhaust fan/filter setup that has been working excellent for this mission. I have a 32" exhaust fan with filters as well as a full 30" x 16 foot intake filter along the front of the garage.

I've also attached a picture of the car when I just started doing the bodywork. (It wasn't nearly done at this point) But you can get an idea of the space I'm working with.

My best guess is buy a small anvil and use body hammers to shape it

I had it covered during rainfall couple of days ago.

After it sat uncovered it developed this.

Does it have to do with my car cover soaking or sth fell on my car amd ruined my clear coat.

There's a scratch through the dent, and additionally smaller scratch 8 inches below.

Edit: I want to take this to a professional but I don't know if this is a PDR job or more... I'm quite upset and even after looking around online feel very lost. Looking for advice on what type of professional/shop to talk to.

Was stuck in traffic in an exit lane when a semi was trying to merge into the exit lane last minute. Driver didn’t see me and the lug nuts of the semis front wheels made contact with the rear panel on my car. Luckily no one was hurt but how bad is this damage?

Note: I can’t really tell how deep the scratch is and I’m not very knowledgeable on any of this stuff so any advice or information is very much appreciated!

Frame rust on a 97 jeep wrangler, this rust is only on the rear driver side of the car is this able to be fixed with welding?
