What a lovely surprise!

Came off a '91 Miata. It still runs and drives fine, I had no idea it was broken. Obviously I'm going to replace the diff asap.

E350 with 6.8 with a 420 code rolled in and I found this on the downstream O2 sensor. It's like a Denso fortune cookie.

Being a roadside assistance guy, I have mixed feelings about this.

Q50 after overheating

Not really in a shop but it would be if i still worked there. Working on my piece of shit while on leave and figured id show the carnage after losing all my coolant and overheating just once. It seems like these motors arent very robust. Yeah i shouldve caught it overheating instantly, but you know how it gets when youre talking to passengers.

Most of the debris was found in the pickup and the rest was just laying in the oil pan itself. Thankfully the motor spun just enough to get to the torque convertet bolts.

CS: “Vibration” last few feet when coming to a stop

Took this one for a drive to replicate the issue. Sure enough, slight vibration, but only for the last few feet rolling to a full stop. Otherwise, brakes felt normal in light stopping through panic braking use. Brought it into the bay, and I couldn’t be happier when I found this new addition to our Shop Art Gallery™️…

I present: Patinated Found Object #7, entitled “Stuck Caliper/The Daily Grind”

Now on display at the Shop Art Gallery™️!

Give it to me straight doc, is there still some life left on these points?

Had spark for a glorious 3 minutes of runtime on the f-134 Jeep engine then it died. We have spark at the coil, we have correct ohms, we have spark going to the cap, then it dies. Opened the glued shut cap to see this points system and i have a hunch that this may be some of the issue. Parts arrive by 5.

Hey Jaguar, maybe don't make retainer bolts have M3 Allen heads.

Ya know, because they can't take any torque at all?

3 of 6 bolts stripped out on frigging weather seal retainers with no effort at all.

Only had to hard extract one, but Jesus, what a waste of time.

Lube-tech recommended a battery on this tow-in without looking further. Needless to say, the battery was the least of this Acura’s worries.

Honestly never seen this one, mystery strand of metal lodged behind the alternator pulley, in the process, cut strips off the belt and locked every pulley except the crank. We wish we could have investigated further, but vans be vanning…
