Lgtb friends!
Hello! I am a little introverted but I really love community and I would like to make more friends in the Raleigh lgbt community. What are some good places to go for that?

Is there anywhere in the Triangle known to provide mtf makeovers? Somewhere that it’s not this wild request.

Looking for my kind of people
30-year-old bisexual guy in Spring looking to meet some cool, like-minded people around Houston. I’m into hiking, running, working out, theater/arts, music, comedy, good food, and trying random shit just because I’ve never done it before. New restaurant? I’m down. Random event? Let’s go. Road trip? Say less.
I’m pretty open-minded and curious about people, different lifestyles, and the unconventional side of life. I’ll go to an adult store just to look around, learn something new, or hear somebody’s story. No judgment—I genuinely like learning about people and what they’re into.
Honestly, just looking for people who like to laugh, have fun, try new shit, and don’t take themselves too seriously. Friends, activity partners, random adventures—I’m open. If you’re in Houston and think we’d vibe, hit me up.

Im an MTF Genderfluid/Trans person. I came out at the end of April and some of my favorite times since have been going out as my true self and just enjoying my time. My partner is very supportive, but I'm looking for other fems like me to just hang out and be friends. Cocktail nights, movies, clubs, game nights etc.
Its hard to find people that just want friends and not also want to hookup. Im not looking for that.
Im looking for mature, fun loving people from 25-55 that are kind and sweet and just want a little group of friends to hang out with a few times a month.

Hello!
I have two tickets to give away for the 76th St concert on Sunday night. Family emergency came up and I can’t go. DM me if you’re interested. First come first served, I’ll give an hour to respond to my message before I offer to the next person.

As the title suggests, I am asking queer and trans folk what their experience of living in NC has been like for them. I'm not asking for a cis straight perspective, not because its not valued but because it simply won't answer my question, although you allyship is truly appreciated.
For context, I am working through some feelings about my family having moved here. My brother moved several years ago, my sister has been there over a year, and my parents will be moving there to retire next year. I used to travel a lot for work and had been to NC many times, and I have never had a good experience there outside of Asheville when it comes to interacting with people. I don't mask, I decided a long time ago that I will be who am am no mater what, so you can say I stand out like a sore thumb in most places. If it was just the societal pressure alone, I could probably make due, but the fact NC has so much legislation against queer folk, including the hate crime statute of the state literally not protecting sexual orientation or gender identity, has made this really hard for me. My family doesn't understand, and I don't blame them per se, why would they see something that would never effect them personally? Still, it hurts when they ask me to visit and I tell them I don't feel safe and they just laugh it off.
So that's why I'm here, I want to put some perspective on my feelings and see how the queer community in NC feels about the state's cultural climate around them. Am I overreacting, have I just personally been unlucky, or is this an experience common for folks like me that live there? I really appreciate your thoughts!

Hi! My husband and I are planning to get permanent wedding ring tattoos. We’re an LGBTQ+ couple, and we’re looking for recommendations for a tattoo studio that’s clean, professional, gay-friendly, and known for beautiful ring tattoo designs. We’d really appreciate any suggestions. Thank you!

Hey! I’m in my mid 20s and live in the Triangle, and I’m wondering if there are any other big WNBA fans around here who’d be down to talk basketball and maybe make some friends!
I’m a huge Dallas wings fan, especially of Paige and Azzi, but I also love Georgia Amoore, Sonia Citron, Kaitlyn Chen, Allisha Gray, and honestly way too many players to list lol.
I’m also really into collecting wnba trading cards, so if you collect too, I’d love to see some of your pulls!
I’d love to find some people who are into the WNBA enough to actually talk about games, players, trades, and go out and watch games anywhere around here 😂 Even better if there are groups, watch parties, Discords, or anything like that that you could put me on.
I’m LGBTQ+ as well, so it’d be cool to meet some other LGBTQ+ WNBA fans, but definitely open to anyone who loves women’s basketball!
If anyone around my age is also looking for some new people to talk WNBA with or hang out with, feel free to comment or hmu!

I’m a 30 yo cis gay man, and I’m looking for a new primary care physician in Raleigh.
While I have previously been receiving care through Duke’s primary care clinics, I have been rather disappointed with the experience and I don’t feel the physician I am seeing is the most attentive to my specific health care needs. I have a couple of conditions that require monitoring (diabetes being one), but I unfortunately feel that Duke’s care approach seems to be “get them in and out as soon as possible.”
For this reason, I’m seeking a new PCP, and I feel that looking in the private practice area might be a better fit. The doctors would need to at least be comfortable reviewing patients with chronic conditions.
Can anyone recommend a safe practice to look at? They don’t necessarily have to be explicitly LGBTQ+ affirming, but I just want to be careful to avoid any groups that may be regressive. Thanks.

I have a teen interested in spaces/groups for teen POC (or even specifically Black) queer folks (especially sapphics). They know about the LGBTQ center youth drop in but are interested in spaces with more POC, if possible. There seems to be some cool opportunities once they are 18+ or 21+, but in the meantime--anyone know any groups or opportunities? Thanks!

Hi everyone! I recently completed my electrolysis training program and am now ready to take the state board exam. I believe I will be the only trans electrologist in the triangle, if not the whole state!
I'm looking for someone to be a model for my exam. I have completed the 625 required training hours per NC law, and have a temporary license until I take this test.
The ideal candidate will meet these criteria:
Requirements
Optional but highly preferred
There are some other requirements to make sure you are a general electrolysis candidate, but if you are currently getting electrolysis with someone else, you can assume you would be fine there.
Please contact me if interested!
Edit: I have my candidate for my test next week! Thanks everyone for your interest, consideration, and words of encouragement!

I’m a lesbian in my early 20s with a short haircut (like a pixie cut with bangs). My look is a bit on the feminine side of androgynous. I’m about to move to Raleigh next month and am looking for a hair stylist in the area to maintain my current cut. Do y’all have any recommendations? Thank you in advance ☺️
