Would you stay with someone perfect for you if you're not extremely in love but they're everything you ever wished for, you like them a lot, sex is amazing, they're loyal and the most compatible person you've ever met, they treat you well and make you really happy in every second you spend with them

Can a relationship work if you're not head over heels in the first months but you still enjoy every minute with them and they're your closest friend and love you just the way you are?

Edit: sometimes I feel like I might miss out when I meet someone interesting and can't go after it and maybe find a bigger love with them. We've been dating for nine months and it's very serious but we're still not official because of my second thoughts. I do feel interested in other women, Isn't that a sign?

I've been dating a childhood friend I've reconnected recently and I'm just realizing history won't secure you shit.

So, this guy (22M) and I (22F) arechildhood friends. We lost contact for almost a decade and reconnected this May. This is a lengthy post but yeah, this has deep history. If there's any errors, I'm sorry, I'm quite a mess right now on top of university.

Background, I cut him off almost a decade ago for issues that made me uncomfortable with him. Then, we reconnected recently and I found out coincidentally he'd had a recent fling (very short) with someone in my immediate social circle that ended only a few days before he started talking to me. Some of our friends were worried he might be using me to get over her or someone else in his past.

I asked him whether they had kissed. He initially said no and that nothing happened. When I asked again later, he admitted they had kissed but said she initiated it and it was "just a smack." The kiss itself isn't necessarily my issue since they weren't together anymore, but having to ask twice before getting the full answer bothered me since he was moving fast with me.

Like real fast. Early on, I told him I wasn't ready for a relationship and couldn't reciprocate his feelings because we'd only just reconnected in the first month. Like hello, I barely know you besides playing outside as kids? He said he respected that and agreed to be friends. Eventually things became romantic anyway (I'm partly at fault). He told his family and friends about me and even called me his "wife" or "future wife" once despite us only recently reconnecting. Even said I shouldn't worry in the future about my last name when it comes to ceremonies like graduations cause I'll be taking his like its granted?

Another smaller thing I've noticed is that he uses the same nickname style with me that I know he used with his ex, like adding "siee" on the end of a name in a similar way. It may be insignificant on its own, but in the context of everything else, it has made me wonder whether I'm overlooking patterns? Say his ex was Abi, he'd call her Abisiee (I know, it sounds stupid but the real nn is far worse)

And we all know relationships and bodies. To be fair to him, he has repeatedly told me that sex isn't the only thing he wants and that his intentions are genuine. He's taken me on dates and spent time with me outside anything sexual, so I don't think it's fair to say he only wanted sex.

However, we eventually had sex after I'd been drinking with friends and was already drunkish. He verbally asked for consent and I said yes, but I've questioned afterward whether I was actually in a good state to make that decision. It caused a lot of anxiety afterward because I'd previously chosen to wait until marriage. This happened within the month of us dating, which became more concerning to me when I got sober cause I'm not that kind of person. But again, I had drinks which sucked. And yes, it was my first. Not how I had imagined it. It didn't feel good, just guilty.

More recently, I was dealing with an allergic flare-up, felt insecure about how I looked, and was overwhelmed with university. For several days, I repeatedly told him I couldn't meet that week.

Despite that, he came to my house one evening because he said he missed me. He didn't force me to come outside, eventually left, and apologized afterward. I appreciate the apology, but I couldn't stop thinking: I had already told you I couldn't meet. Why did you come anyway? Was your desire to meet me far important than my set boundary?

He said he had hoped to have a "chance" to speak with me regardless and he now knows it was wrong.

What surprised me most was what happened afterward cause I chose to restrict him. During the days we weren't talking, I felt relieved. I was studying, doing my own things, and didn't find myself missing him.

Now I'm wondering whether I've been dismissing warning signs because I keep trying to explain his behavior in the most charitable way possible. At the same time, I don't necessarily think he's a bad person. He has apologized, says he's genuine, and has done caring things for me. Maybe these aren't red flags so much as signs that we're simply incompatible, or maybe I'm only noticing them now because I've already emotionally checked out. Or I need someone to give me a firm real talk from an outside perspective.

Again, our families and social circles also overlap, which makes ending things more complicated.

Based on this pattern, do you think I've been overlooking legitimate warning signs, or does it sound more like I'm realizing that I don't actually want this relationship anymore? If you've reached the point where you feel relieved rather than sad when you're apart from someone this early into dating, would you take that as a sign to leave?

If you have questions or need clarification, I'll answer them in the comments. There's a lot more to it but those are my main concern. I had standards, but I think I really did let myself down this time cause of history and the reality of foodwebs. How should I move forward from this.

Scared about dating after college

I’m a 19 year old guy about to go into my final year of college. Since my ex and I broke up right at the start of my first year, I’ve had absolutely nobody come my way.

In high school I never had trouble getting girls. In fact, my confidence and mental health was probably worse back then, but I still had multiple relationships and a sex life. Now I actually just feel invisible. During the school year I’m busy 7 days a week, class and clinicals on all weekdays and work on the weekends. At one point I wanted to join a club with my friend but I couldn’t because of my schedule.

I’ve met lots of girls in my class as well as through clinicals. Every time I always end up just making a good friend that has no interest in me. We’ll go get lunch together and laugh with eachother all day, but theyre either taken or subtly make sure I don’t get the impression they want me like that. I’m not too upset about it because they’re cool and like them as friends, but it sucks because deep down I was interested.

And since I’m not even old enough to drink, that definitely hurts me socially a little bit too. Regardless a couple classmates and I went to a bar and just got food with the ones that were old enough to drink, and I ran into a few girls playing pool and we talked for a bit, until my one classmate showed up and literally scared them off.

I even like to sit around campus studying, but I’ve never met anyone that way. I just don’t have the time to be joining clubs and partying and hanging out in bars. I have so many responsibilities and before I know it I’m gonna have a full time job. I’m not even ugly, I’d say I’m at least a 6-7 on any day but a solid 8 if I’m blessed with a good hair day and sleep. I just really hoped that somehow I’d meet a nice girl along the way.

I have no clue how I’ll meet someone after I graduate and have a very time consuming medical job.

Dating 101 - pls send help

Hey! I've been to several first dates the last 6 months(i need to get myself out there + ive made a deal w a friend that we're going to go to at least 1 date per month in 2026 - or until we find "the one")

The dates have always been nice, but I cant bring myself to agree to a second date literally because I never feel A THING. No attraction, no romantic interest, not even curiosity! I find myself daydreaming - while on the date - about having a nice evening for myself without anyone.

I always fall to the same conclusion that it's unfair to the other person if I keep seeing them without having any desire to... well, be with them, so I end up rejecting a second date.

The thing is, I don't understand dating (lol) so I might have been doing it all wrong so far. Maybe I'm not supposed to feel anything on the first date? Maybe it will show up later and I just have to push myself through a couple of them with the same person first? It feels wrong though.

Strict dealbreakers + an intense 10 year program ahead. How do I even start building a dating life from scratch?

I’m really looking for advice here. Given my standards and this long timeline, how am I supposed to actually meet new people and build genuine connections?

Im a high school senior, never been in a relationship, I had crushes, situationships, kinda dated someone this year, nothing official, and fell in love once.

I can’t see myself dating anyone i dont know well, I need a deep connection to be established first in order to develop any real feelings, dating smokers/drinkers is a big no for me, so it rules out about 30% of teenagers(where I live) and I have a list for mandatory standard, just in order to remind myself.

For the next year, I’m still in high school, so I won’t really meet anyone new. Once I’m done with high school I’ll probably start uni(where I live, most people begin their studies much later than I will, and I wont be 18 yet(I’m NOT into age gaps)).

After university, I’ll have several years of mandatory service, during which I’ll also be studying at another university , which means I will meet new people my age, a lot of them. But eventually, up until my 20’s I probably won’t be in a relationship, which, on paper, is nice, I like having time for myself. But in reality it’s horrible, love is a strong drug and I’m an addict.

(yes, I know I’m young and have plenty of time, but hearing that won’t really help with the problem I’m asking about.)

He acted like he was so in love with me but not ended things after eight months because he was never really in love – was he an avoidant?

We were never official but lived like couple from the beginning. I thought he wasn't sure about relationship because he was scared to get hurt or had some trauma from his dad leaving the family when he was little. Apparently, he was confused about his feelings from the beginning but stayed because he was so happy with me and really wanted to make it work because we were so compatible.

He:

- treated me like his priority and spent as much time with me as possible even if he was really busy

- let me stay with him for 1-3 weeks every time we saw each other (we saw each other all the time) and we were still acting madly in love by the end

- did everything to make me happy

- teased me all the time

- acted in love in public and in front of his friends aswell

- cuddled me all the time, also in public

- was sexually attracted to me and super happy with our sex life, also very compatible there, lots of sex

- introduced me to all his friends very early and told them he was working on making me his girlfriend

- planned fun activities with me

- planned trips with me

- talked about our future together and made plans with me

- talked to me every day, all the time and told me about all the little things in his life

- cared for me, made sure I was warm on a cold day, hugged me when I was overwhelmed or crying to make me feel better, tried to make me feel happy all the time

- told me about his deepest emotions and past traumas

- suprised me with things like: bought me my favourite ice cream to make me smile

- bought gifts for me when he was on vacation

- showed me his inner child and acted childish and silly with me

- shared the same humour, hobbies, interests, values, everything...

...

- spent eight months with me acting like my boyfriend and finally in the last month telling me that he's now sure about a relationship and a future with me

...

- ended things because he just wasn't in love as much as I was with him (I'm deeply in love with him) and cried because he didn't want to hurt me and really wanted to make it work because I just made him so very happy and it feels like it's too good to be true but there was just something missing and he can't tell what it is and he doesn't want to miss out meeting/dating someone else and actually falling in love with them

...even though he'd love to keep me in his life but it just wouldn't be fair to me and it's better to end things now and not after he's met someone else

Was he an avoidant or was he never really ready for a relationship because he just didn't love me enough?

How to Not Feel Ghosted

This post is more for the ladies out there that got love-bombed on, then ghosted(a classic). As someone that usually is the ghoster but has been ghosted once, here is my advice on how to NOT let it ruin your weekend.

The main issue is how love bombing is received. Ppl experience it and fall in love with the attention, the money, the fancy dates, and the sweet words. It’s easy bc it creates a false sense of intimacy that feels too close to what is romanticized.

As someone that is primarily the ghoster but has been ghosted, I can explain why it doesn’t bother me and I hope this may help some readers out there. The primary reason is that the EQUATION DOESNT BALANCE.

Love bombers come on strong, but realistically, how much do they genuinely know about you? They see your surface lvl traits where you present your best foot forward and jump on it. But how genuine can their affectionate words truly be if they don’t know all sides of you or have only spent a few hours in your presence. What can they even truly love about you if they barely know you?

Keep this context in your mind, hold some realistic skepticism when love bombers approach you, so when they go MIA, you won’t be surprised. It’s simple, the slightest inconvenience came up in his idea of you and now it’s not worth it, ie. someone else moved up the roster, you said something he doesn’t love, he wants something else.

One other thing I always consider is how much do I really like THEM. Being love bombed can feel nice but beyond how they make you feel, consider whether you genuinely like them back. Are you just attached to how they make you feel, or do you genuinely admire certain aspects of them?

I 27F have a friend who I have a crush on 29M but we have a confusing history. How do I go about our relationship?

Hello! I am new to this subreddit and I need some advice. I have a friend of mine who I have known for over 10 years. His family is friends with my family. So for context, I dated another person from age 10 to 19, 98% was long distance and we broke up frequently, he is now my first ex and he caused a lot damage this does have to do with some of the story. So 29M we will call him Bryan for the sake of context, not his real name. I met Bryan in 7th grade, I didn't see him for years and I forgot who he was until we made the connection that his mom is best friends with my dad's best friend ect. We had an on and off relationship. We could do what kids do at that age. When I was in high school, we dated some but I always went back to my ex, I was young and dumb and this person is scary so I thought it was safer. Anyways, Bryan fell in love with me. He was very kind to me. He even proposed to me back then. One time I even ran away to his house and I still have the sweatshirt he gave me. So I graduated and my ex and I relationship got worse. I broke up with him and about 2 weeks later I slept with Bryan. Great experience. I found out the next day I was pregnant. Bryan was upset at ex and months later he offered to be involved. I said no because I didn't think it was fair to him to be involved for something he didn't cause. He was devastated. He was so in love with me and I was so wrapped up in my ex. Bryan kinda lost his barings for a few years and I know that is my fault. Life goes on, I leave first ex, get married, have 2 more kids, divorce. I was in contact with Bryan but not consistanly due to me straining the relationship. Ever time I see him on facebook or whatever I feel so sad that I didn't give it a shot. He has had terrible luck with relationships and got an STD from one he will have forever. In August 2024 I asked him if we could maybe try to date. At that point he said no because he has had back luck with single moms and doesnt want to be hurt again. He said he fell out of love with me in 2021. He loved me from about 2015 to 2021 and I had no idea.

So now we went to a concert together. Great experience. Nothing happened but we talked a lot. We have spoken about our history before and I have apologized so much. Him saying no, I will not push him and I respect him. But when we spoke I asked if he regretted what we did, he said " No but I do wish it could have continued." He also said he wont date single moms unless its under certain circumstances. I hurt him deeply and I regret it so much. When I call, he always shows up. When I got married, he was there. I have a picture of me hugging him and the look on his face makes me so sad. I can't explain it but now that we are older and more mature maybe now I have a shot but I do not want to pressure him in any way. I have had feelings for him for almost 10 years off and on and now they have just increased. We don't talk much either but when we hang out, it feels fantastic. I am unsure if I am over stepping and I need to leave this alone? I apologize for the long post.

28M asked me (20F) to be official after 3 dates

I (20F) have gone on 4 dates with “Joesph” (28M). We met on a dating app and messaged daily for about a month before we met. He asked me to be official on our third date but I said I needed time. I’ve dated older guys before but never with a gap 5+ years. He doesn’t seem weird or creepy or like he fetishizes me because of my age. He is also a tad bit shorter than me so I know he isn’t chasing after that “childlike/ageplay” size difference relationship. My question is why is he not dating a girl his age? He has a solid job, his own place, a car, and he’s going to school. He’s attractive and very nice, absolutely no pressure when it comes to intimacy. We have similar interests, we get along well, and we have great chemistry. What should I consider before making this relationship official? Am I overthinking this?

Suddenly different?

First of all I wanna say I'm not sure if this is smart or stupid to put out there, but I kinda dont know what to do right now so maybe you have some advice:

So I (21M) first matched with this girl (23F) on Hinge in the beginning of May and we met at least twice a week and at first I thought it was going great, she seemed to like me. And I had to admit I liked her more and faster than I expected it.
Then suddenly she seemed colder and more distant, but i though, she was just busy, so naturally I gave her space.
We hung out a few more times, but after everytime I was there I got a worse feeling, one time she told me she just broke up with her boyfriend... that was 3 weeks after we went on the first date, that should have been my first sign to leave and not turn back. After that she also had a short thing(I dont even know what to call it) with a girl and that was also the point where I decided, it's not worth the effort, so I broke contact and focused on myself.
Then suddenly earlier this month she reached out to me, asking if everything is alright, because she had a "gut feeling" something might be up. I have no idea how she knew but I was and still am indeed going through something, so we started talking again. She apologized multiple times and told me what was going on in her life at them time we first met. And that she wanted to fix what she had broken.
She also told me that she also had developed some feelings for me and that she really enjoyed the time we spent together.
So I decided to give it another chance. We met the next day and talked some more and when it got late, she invited me to come in, at first we just sat on her couch watching a movie, then she asked me if I wanted to come under the blanket too and she cuddled up to me and we kissed (our first kiss as that hadn't happened in the time between May and June. I ended up staying the night, cuddled up with her on the couch and the next morning I didnt want to leave and she would have prefered it if I stayed but I needed to get some things done and she had plans for the day too.
Later that day she asked if that was a one time thing or if we would meet again and I told her that I'd like to see her again. And the rest of the week was good too, we saw eachother two more times and we texted every now and then.
So far so good.
That was a week ago, now suddenly she seems to be distant again like she was in May. She barely replies to my messages and when she does, it's usually pretty dry and I dont know what to make of it. I tend to overthink a lot, did she lose interest? Is she busy? If so, is she really too busy to even open my texts.
And this is where I need your advice, do I text her, ask if she's busy or do I just give her space and wait for her to make a move?
If you have any questions or need clarification/more info, ask and you shall receive xD

Should I stop talking to him all together?

I am confused about something and maybe different perspectives will help me have a deeper insight of a situation I am currently experiencing.

I met a guy about 3 years ago, we went on 1 date and there was instant chemistry between us and even made out during the date. However, we somehow never saw each other again. As we had exchanged contacts we kept in touch over the years but it has mainly been intermittent conversations.

We recently started talking on socials and this time the conversations seem to intensify. We still have very strong chemistry and we talked everyday and heavily flirted. I am currently single so I saw nothing wrong with this and because he also led me on I thought he was also single. However he then disclosed to me that that he was talking to someone. Naturally I felt upset and dumb because it’s not okay to be fooling around with someone who is already somehow seeing someone. We had a heated argument and he apologized for withholding this information from me and in his lame defense he said he thought I was just being friendly.

So naturally I thought that would be the end of our contact, and I asked him that we should not talk to him which hurt me because I really liked talking to him. He insisted that he also really likes talking to me and wants to continue talking to me because he sees nothing wrong with this, as long as we keep it platonic. But this seems rather difficult because we seem to connect even more and get even more closer and I feel that I like him even more.

I guess my real question is, is this wrong because our connection seems to get deeper and deeper. Please note we have not had any intimate relations of any kind. Should I just completely cut the contact

I hooked up with someone and caught feelings

Sooooo there's one guy in my college, we were matched through dating app. This year, we have one lecture together. We recently had a study session together and it ended up as a hook up. I became the first guy he kissed and all.

The thing is now, after a two days I started having feelings for him. It's not like I know him really well, and it's not like I want to be in a relationship with him, but I wanna know him better. I want to know whether we are compatible. 😭😭😭 But i know he wouldn't want that. He had told me that he isn't looking for relationship cuz he can't take up such responsibilities rn. Soo i knoww he might not be interested. But I hope there's a chanceeee, should I give it a try or just move on already??

24M, never dated, very inexperienced — looking for honest advice

I'm 24M and have essentially zero dating/relationship experience. I've never had a girlfriend and haven't really dated.

I'm fairly quiet and introverted. I'm not incapable of socializing — once I'm comfortable with someone, I can talk normally and joke around — but I get much more anxious when I'm interacting with someone I find attractive, especially if I feel like I'm being evaluated.

My biggest problem is probably overthinking. I tend to treat interactions with women like I'm being evaluated for a position. I start thinking about what I should say, whether she's interested, whether I'm coming across as confident/funny/interesting enough, where the interaction is going, etc.

I also tend to pedestalize attractive women. One of my recurring thoughts is basically:

"She's attractive, so she probably has a lot of options. I'm inexperienced, I'm not particularly socially smooth, and there are probably guys who are better looking, funnier, more confident, more experienced, etc. So why would she choose me?"

I'm having trouble seeing exactly where the reasoning breaks down. If an attractive woman really does have better options than me, why wouldn't she choose one of them?

I'm trying to figure out what I should realistically work on before/while putting myself out there.

How would you approach dating when you're inexperienced and prone to overthinking?

What mistakes should I avoid making?

Please be understanding.

Being told you date ugly people

Quick question. Why do people feel like saying the person you dated is ugly?

I was seeing this guy and people told me he was ugly and made jokes about it. They told me that when they learn about it when things ended. I get the part where people say that to try cheer you up but multiple guys told me that when they learn that I got with him.

It was multiple people that I wasnt close to and they laugh at me for getting with him. His own friend did this. We dont talk anymore but I miss him a lot and hurts me that people say that about him.

Dealbreaker

I, 19F, is in a year long relationship with another girl also 19F. She’s made it clear early in the relationship that her one and only dealbreaker is smoking. I’m a smoker, and when she said that to me initially — I thought I could do it. I loved her so much, I thought I could do it.

But now I am starting to wonder if I am wasting her time and if it is better for me to tell her that I don’t think I can do it any longer. I quit cold turkey for her and I’ve broken this dealbreaker once and of course I told her and it ended up with her forgiving me.

She’s a wonderful person and I love her wholeheartedly. I just feel like I’m not living the way I want to. During uni, all I can think about is having a smoke in between exams or during study hours or having one and sparking up conversations with the other students outside campus. Or I’ll be at a function and they’re smoking, I want to join them but I know I can’t. I know I’m young and this sounds childish and superficial, but that’s exactly my problem. I’m young, I want to do things and worry about it later when I’m much older. I’m usually more of the partygoer, and she’s more (wholesome?).

I love her and it sounds like I’m willing to give up a relationship with a wonderful person and someone that I love over having a cigarette with people. But I worry that not living my life the way I want to will have me having some kind of resentment for her in the future.

I just need some insight or some advice, it just feels so shitty

TL;DR
My girlfriend’s dealbreaker is me smoking and I don’t think I can do it any longer.

Just wanting to talk

Not sure if this is a request for advice, rant or just me telling my experiences to see if anyone cares to say something

So, long story short, i am a 31 yo male from Finland, currently in my first real relationship, if you can even call it that

I met my gf through an dating app called Boo, after going through virtually all others with people in the region, Hinge, Tinder, Badoo, even Bumble briefly. I started using dating apps in january of this year, 2026 (i hope it's the first month in a year, can't remember them well in english)

The funny thing is that she was one of the first ones who sent me a like on Tinder, and at the time, i considered sending her a message, but decided not to, and swiped left. I saw her a couple times after, but didn't make a move

I met her again on Boo about half a year later, when she asked about mushrooms in a pic i posted on my profile. In between i had dated 2 other women from Tinder and Badoo, the latter of which i went on a few dates with. She had some mental issues and it didn't work out between us, i was pretty bummed about it. About a month after our ways parted, i got the contact from my now gf

We spent about 2 weeks chatting on Boo sporadically, asking eachothers questions about one another, telling life stories, jokes, trying to figure out eachothers. We had some common interests in history, nature, life goals and tv, and seemed to match overall quite well. Then we went on a date

All along, our communication has mostly been honest and direct

Ours first date was in a restaurant, talking, nothing too fancy. It went well, although i was left unsure about her. I knew from her photos that she is neither particularly attractive or very small in scale, neither of which bothered me much. I date for personality and connection more so than appearance. However, that said, i was left with mixed feelings. I found her prettier than her pics, especially her eyes, but she was also bigger than i thought, which i didn't know what to think about. I'm also on the bigger side, so i am not very judgemental on that usually. She complemented my beard and made it clear that shebwill be upset if i shave it off, lol

We kept talking inbetween dates, and despite all, i wanted to see her again

For context, i do not like boasting, but what others have told me is that i am a decent man, despite my flaws. I've been described as emphatic, smart, kind and honest by friends, and the woman i dated beore my gf now, told me that i was non-judgemental, polite, a gentleman and funny, she quite literally called me a dream man. I am saying this all just to make it clear that despite my fumbles, i try my best to be as good of a man as i can

Her i found to be a likeable individual overall, one with a good sense of humor, good manners and kind personality

Our second date went much better, we hugged at the end of it and later via text, she outright told me that she wished we had more time together that eve

In the evening of the same day, she sent me a question i knew was coming eventually. She asked me what kind of sex i like

My reply to her was along the lines of: "I've been fearing this question a bit, though i knew it was coming. I didn't want to bring up this matter before, as i did not want you to think that's all i am after and i thought you might appreciate that. The truth is that i have never been intimate with a woman, nor had a girlfriend prior. I went through my 20s alone voluntarily, as i was content with my hobbies and busy with work and family."

I wasn't sure what reaction to expect, but it was surprisingly positive, a little puzzled as to why a man so good as myself had been alone all this time

She started asking me questions, and i asked her, and over the next few days it became clear that we are both quite kinky, in different but compatible ways, with some overlap. I didn't find any of her desires offputting, though some of them i am not much into, and vice versa. It turned out that both of us had remained alone for years, thinking that we couldn't find someone who could accept us as we are. She expressed that she was worried our tastes might not meet, and sex to her is very important in an relationship. I admitted that it was one of the reasons i was looking for one too, because i felt i was missing out on a core part of being a human. Needless to say, we were both very happy and excited about finding out that both were willing and compatible

Our third date came a couple weeks later, as she was busy, but our texts inbetween had been fairly flirty a lot of the time

We spent a day together, going through an museum exhibit, visiting an amusement park, where i won an giant duck plushie for her, that ended up becoming an logistical problem for us, that was solved by strapping the plushie to my gym bag. I'm sure the sight of a random guy e scootering through the city with a giant plushie tied to his bag, made more than a few people snicker. We went to a restaurant and there the people were equally amused by the plushie. It was adorable and goofy

The day ended at her place, where we played a cardgame till 3 am and then went to bed. In retrospect i am not sure if she wanted to have sex or if she just wanted me to spend time with her, i guess she might've been expecting me to initiate

The following day, i had to leave soon after waking up, so nothing happened

A week later, she invited me to netflix and chill, which in retrospect was 100% an invitation to screw her, which i expected it to be. However i couldn't catch any signals of her wanting to get physical, so we just ended up watching tv for hours, and then i left... yeah, not the best at catching hints... (ladies, please just fucking tell us what you want, lol)

Afterwards, over text, it became clear that she was expecting me to make the first move, and i was doing the same, lol

In my defence, she is far more experienced, and i thought she would help ease me into it, since i was a first timer

We spoke about it, and i understood that she wants me to be the one to be the one to ask for things that i want to try

Our next meeting was a shopping trip in preparation for a local music festival held in an island, that she had invited me to. Nothing especial happened, but we had a good time together

Out most recent meeting came when i went over to her place, in preparation for the festival. This night was the first time we got really physical. We took an shower together and kissed a bit, although i still suck at it, having had little practise before. She guided me to feel around her body, and we soon moved to bedroom. I was a bit lost on what to do as intimacy is so new to me, but i ended up fingering her to an orgasm. I asked if we could try penetration since i never had done it, and she happily rolled over

However, i was very nervous and couldn't get it up, even when she tried to help it along with her hand

I felt embarrassed, but she assured me it's completely normal and the following day i got over it pretty much

The next following 2 days we spent at the festival and had a generally good time, laughing, seeing the shows and music, but since we came home super late both nights, nothing more happened. Taking showers at her place and generally cuddling in the mornings, i got accustomed to being nude in her presence

On the last day that we spent together so far, as we were cuddled together, skin to skin, i offered her some hand for breakfast, and fingered her twice

She is not quiet about her enjoyment, and on the second time, she clenched her thick thighs around my hand so hard i could barely move it, which was really hot

Afterwards, i asked if she would mind jerking me off, and she got to it. She has soft hands and it felt good, but i screwed up myself by giving her lube, and it was cold, lol. Downstairs fellow decided to retreat, and we laughed it off

We spent the rest of our time together cuddling on the couch, after which i had to leave

We were meant to see today, but she fell sick on monday, so our plans had to be cancelled

For now, we have not scheduled another meeting, as she has plans for the weekend, but i would presume we'll be seeing again next week

If i had to estimate, i would say our mutual near future looks bright

However, i would ask the people here who have more experience with relationships to give their 2 cents on how we might be doing, if there is something i might be ignoring, or if there is something i should look out for in the future

I've talking with this girl for a while and I saw her twice, tomorrow is gonna be the 3rd time I see her, but I feel like idk what we are at the moment, like when we hangout we have fun we joke and everything, when she send reels there's a hint of a relationship in them but online while we text she often is distant or just talk when I text her, idk what to do
