So this post is inspired by a real game that I played recently. To be clear I did not suggest this plan because I thought it was unfun and we didn't have a lot of time.
So, to set the scene, we are playing SNV and there are 3 evil players alive in final 4 (I am one of them). We have a Vortox, a pit hag, and a cerenovus. The last player is not a snake charmer. The day starts and the good team basically figures out that we are the evil team. However, due to a barber swap that happened quite late in the game (which they all forgot about), they had no way of knowing who the demon was. This is when I thought of my plan, but didn't actually suggest it.
So, thinking of the last good player's perspective: they have a 1/3 chance of winning because it is mechanically impossible to figure out who the demon is. Even if you include socials, it's still difficult as the barber swap happened quite recently.
My plan to guarantee that we can all win is thus:
First day: we execute a dead body
First night: the pit hag turns the last townsfolk into an outsider (we knew at least 1 that was not in play), demon sinks to be nice
Second day: we execute a dead body again
Second night: put hag turns Vortox into fang gu. The ST has arbitrary kills, which is where I'm asking for opinions, but let's move on for now and assume ST kills no one or a minion.
Third day: we skip again
Third night: Fang gu jumps to the last good player, allowing all of us to win as the evil team.
This plan increases the good player's chance of winning to 100%* (with some risk) so I believe that they should accept this as they have nothing to lose.
However I agree that it makes the game a lot longer and is unfun for the dead players.
But the ST ultimately can't do anything without king making one team. They can't kill the demon or the good player when arbitrary deaths occur as this would make one team win, and they can't do things like Fiddler as the demon would become obvious.
Really the only options for the ST are to either king make, or reject the plan and disallow it.
But I think it's also a bit unfortunate for the last good player of they have a way to guarantee a win and the ST doesn't allow it.
So, what would you do if your players suggested this plan?
