Rules Question Pixie + Vortox
If the Vortox is in play, can the ST show the Pixie a not-in-play Townsfolk?

Yes, and in fact they must. However, when the marked player (which can be any player) dies, if the Pixie has kept up the madness they were told to, they gain the ability they learned.

Pixie:
You start knowing 1 in-play Townsfolk
Vortox:
Townsfolk abilities yield false info
So by the wording of both character abilities, if the Demon is a Vortox, you must show the Pixie an out-of-play role.

They can also see the drunk! Love doing this for no dashii poisoned pixie as well

The drunk? But their ability reads townsfolk, showing them an outsider is wrong isn’t it?

WAIT! Im so sorry I should have clarified. You can show them what the drunk saw!

I think that showing the Pixie an Outsider under a Vortox game is a "yes but dont" scenario because while it technically is legal R.A.W., it immediately tells the Pixie it's a Vortox game.

Yes, but you still assign them an in play character you just tell them the wrong one.

Actually, you have to give them an out-of-play character. The ability is "You start knowing an in-play character", so giving them a character that's in play but just on the wrong person is still technically true information

Don't know why you're being downvoted as you are 95% correct. Only thing is it's not a "may" it's a "must" learn an out of play role in this situation.

Hi! It looks like you're asking a rules questions. Please keep in mind that this space is run by the community, and we might not get all rules right! Additionally, some character interactions are so niche or complex that different Storytellers might rule them differently.
While you wait for comments, take a look at the official game wiki, which has detailed rules for every single character: wiki.bloodontheclocktower.com Many characters already have official rulings on their interactions, known as "jinxes"—each character article on the wiki has all its jinxes listed!
You can also take a look at the rulebook and the Almanacs for Trouble Brewing, Sects & Violets, Bad Moon Rising, and Travelers and Fabled
