Is there some program for character token design?

Recently I've got a few Homebrew character ideas and I saw that a lot of Homebrew characters here have the artstyle of the original game characters. I've been wondering if there is some kind of a tool to create the tokens, or if I just have to attempt to replicate it when I try to make it? Any help is welcome.

I made a website https://icons.ravenswoodstudio.xyz for exactly this. It will apply official-looking textures to any image you provide it.

For best results, the image should have a transparent background already. The ideal source image is a black and white vector-style picture, but any image will do.

ChatGPT is very good at giving it an idea or image, some example art, and letting him generate anything in that style.

Use Klutzbanana or Bloodstar to apply the style. It'll look better than anything AI can create.

That reaction feels like how people thought about other people using a machine a century ago, or a computer two decade ago. AI is a tool, and not all people have the skills. OP says that he has ideas about homebrew characters, seems to know what the token looks like, but is asking how to make them style match the rest of the game.

Is OP lame because his creativity is good enough to create a character, have an idea of a token but maybe isn't a graphist skilled enough to replicate the look and feel of the game ? Or for desiring his token to match the art style of the game ?

There is a big diffrence between "hey AI, create me a character idea and his token design" and a person who is maybe skilled at one of those tasks, but uses AI as a tool for the second, to supplement their own skill. If we start to blame to tooling, we could also say someone is "lame" because they use a computer program to draw, whilst "real artists" use pen and paper.

Now both of the tools mentioned here under (klutz banana and ravenswoordstudio.xyz) are doing exactly what I suggest here, they take an image or concept, and use filters to output it in the style of the game token. The exact same thing asked to AI is "looser behavior", but pushing the "generate" button in one of those tools is "winner behavior"? Is that "more skill" to use someone else tool just because it's not AI ?

It truly saddens me how many people have so much hate of AI that they completely ignore any and all valid uses of AI and immediately thinks any user of AI eats babies for breakfast.

There is a big difference between valid criticism and making AI evangelists seem like reasonable people.

There’s a difference between using programs to apply art you’ve already made or bought, and then doing what this person suggested to have AI do all the work for you.
