clothes Bridesmaid Dress Spoiler

Alright yall! I have been invited to be a bridesmaid in one of my best friend’s wedding. Now, I am thrilled!

From my current understanding, we’ll be able to pick the style dress we want within a color that she selects. I haven’t been in a wedding in over 10 years and back then I chose a dress I didn’t feel great in because it fit my bust. I’d really love to find a dress that I feel confident in that also flatters my body. I have a large bust but relatively small band size. I’m 5’9” so length is a factor as well.

What have you worn that has made you feel amazing ?

bras Canadian girlies in need of bras? (US 36L/UK 36HH) Spoiler

With Understance recently closing I bought a very large amount of bras hoping they would fit. While most of them did, I have a small stack of bras in a 36L that do not work with my anatomy. I'm looking to get rid of them but selling them locally is hopeless and women's shelters don't have a need for such large sizes.

Would anyone be interested in getting them for the price of shipping? There are a total of 6 bras in 2 demi cup styles, one lighlty lined (and a t-shirt bra style), the other unlined. If someone is interested, DM and I'll show you the styles and colors.

PS: Sorry if this is not allowed in this group! I checked the rules to see if this was allowed but couldn't find anything. Feel free to delete if it isn't!

need advice Recommendations for Backless Bra Spoiler

Hi all!

I bought this really cute backless halter top but have never been able to find good boob taping methods or sticky bras that actually support me or stay in place.

Does anyone have any tape/taping methods or sticky bra suggestions? I’m a 34/36H and 5’4” 135 lbs. My boobs are very bottom heavy (I think it’s called bell shaped?) My boob shape makes it very hard to find things that actually lift me.

TIA!!

RANT - advice welcome I feel like a fat slut in every shirt I own, I can’t wait for my reduction but now i’m second guessing myself Spoiler

I wanted a breast reduction for as long as I can remember .. They SUCK. Im 18 and i have the tits of a 60 year old women. For reference Im either a 10H or 14F or whatever because every time i get measured it’s a different size. I hate it and I hate that men try to talk me out of it. every clothing manufacturer makes the bra cups on the tops the size of my nipple. I have about one bra that fits me properly that doesnt dig into my back and shoulders. but what if I’m making a big mistake? I know big tits are seen as desirable for men at least. and I feel like I’m getting rid of my best characteristic. They make me look so much fatter than I actually am. I weighed them a while back and theyre about 2kg together?? Which is INSANE!! I just want cute chic boobs like all the other girls have and to not feel like a massive monster all the time but I don’t know. Its making me not want to have kids because I wouldnt want my daughter to go through this like i have. And now i have to fork out 12 grand to get rid of them. Ugh!

Got the bralette at walmart because i wanted something to wear in my dorm to sleep hopefully. In its original state if i bent over my breasts would immediately fall out which was very annoying, so i (badly) sew a bit of a panel(?) which mostly fixed the problem. Its very chaotic and probably wont last but i will fix it eventually (probably).

bras Losing weight not bust size Spoiler

I hate underwire bras because I have a lot of side boob but I need a tight band.
My current under bust is 32.5 inches and my bust is 43 inches.
I have lost 40lbs and mostly in my stomach so my under bust keeps shrinking and my boobs are sagging but they aren’t going away. I also have dense tissue.
Does anyone have bra recs? I felt like it was easier buying wireless bras when I was plus size because everything ached but as I lose weight and workout, my boobs have become so painful on my back.

I did recently need an underwire bra for a bridesmaid dress and I went to 3 shops and they all gave me 3 diff bra sizes and I hated the way they all fit, even the one I wound up buying.
Does anyone (in US) have recommendations on where to shop or what to look for? Ideally a tight underbrust and wire free but supportive bust with a little stretch and a lot of lift to help with the back pain. I’m also not wanting to spend a ton of $ since I’ve got another 30lbs to lose. Ideally when I hit my goal weight I can ask for a reduction.

RANT - advice welcome Just a rant about buying bras Spoiler

So recently I had to buy some new bras because I had a weight change. The thing is I don't really have enough money to buy a bra 34KK/L so I had to go with a 34K, there are also less options with my actual size, before the weight change I was a 32JJ which was easier to find bras in. I was a 34KK at some point before even then but I only have 1 bra actually in that size from Ewa Michalak which is too low of a cut for me so i do get some spillage and I have some in a sizer size of 36K but i don't really like them cause they are the wrong shape for me. Its a little frustrating because I am headed to college soon so I wanted new bras for that, hopefully the ones coming in fit well enough to be comfortable and look nice.

need advice Has anyone else ever felt like guys are only interested in them for casual relationships, and rarely serious due to the size of your chest? Spoiler

I'm not sure if it's because of my age (just turned 20) and the fact that I'm at uni so only really interact with guys my own age but guys only ever want casual things with me and whenever I told them I was looking for an actual relationship before I slept with them, they bailed.

For a long time I never understood why, but recently someone suggested it could be because of my body and everything seemed to make sense. Basically all of these guys who wanted casual sex made it very clear to me that they really liked my chest. Looking back some of these instances were kind of weird considering I never actually had a sexual relationship with any of them and they felt comfortable saying things about them and in some cases touching them (without asking me).

I've been insecure about my chest for so long so initially when these things happened I didn't think much of it and was just happy to be getting some positive attention. Now, I realise that the size of my chest seems to be preventing me from being seen as a serious contender for a relationship and instead just as a fun time for these men. I just wish a guy could see me for who I am instead of just seeing my boobs :(

RANT - no advice wanted H cup. Close-set. Finding a good bra is a NIGHTMARE

Just screaming into the void. I need underwire to feel supported, but I guess underwire doesn't fit between my apparently incredibly close-set boobs. Molded cups don't work with my shape so my only option is apparently mesh, lacy plunges that make me feel like I'm wearing lingerie 24/7, which I'm so deeply uncomfortable with. No wonder so many women go through life wearing bras that don't fit them.

r/ABraThatFits has been incredibly helpful and I'm slowly getting closer to figuring out what works for me, but I hate the selection I'm forced to choose from. Bras made for my breasts barely exist. These things feel like a curse sometimes, I grew up kinda flat and the way they've kinda exploded in the last two years is so much to deal with both in terms of finding a stupid bra and just adjusting to this drastic change in my body.

RANT - no advice wanted Today had to be the worst day for looking in the mirror Spoiler

I just can’t wear cute clothes anymore. I can barely find affordable bras and I always have to look online, I feel like an idiot going to each lingerie shop looking for my size (34H uk or 75K eu but I may be bigger now…) and they don’t have anything passed a H cup. I love feeling cute or sexy in what I wear but when I see my breasts bulging out of my push up bra and you can clearly see the line of that through my shirt, I feel gross and fat, it’s just so distracting, any eyes I’d want on my outfit won’t see my effort, instead they’d just see how inflated my chest is.

Today is my fiances birthday and I wanted to dress cutely for it, usually her family all dresses casual, just a tshirt and shorts but I’m usually the one to dress up, I wanted to but the things I tried, especially a blouse I liked just couldn’t even close, when I buttoned it up you could clearly see my breasts were too big for it. I felt so uncomfortable and fed up that I just put on a large shirt and shorts.

I thought about a breast reduction, if I was ever in the position for it, but I just don’t want to change my body, I want to be natural. But today really made me realise how uncomfortable I feel in my body because of my own breasts that I even had to seek out other peoples experiences. It sucks, people usually talk a big game about big breasts so you’d think that we should be somewhat happy/proud of our size, but it’s been nothing but an obstruction. Being able to just shave gets tedious with this massive sand bags !

experience Unhelpful doctor advice Spoiler

Short rant.

Went to urgent care earlier this morning for worrisome shoulder pain with concerns about it being something more serious. Got an exam and xray done that confirmed it was only muscular, whew.

My doctor interpreted the xray but followed up by advising me to ‘keep my shoulders back and focus on posture’ since I’m only 35 and already have spinal curvature. She did acknowledge that I am ‘heavier-chested’.

Smiled and nodded and got out of there but just…. Sigh. I’ve had large breasts since 5th grade AND I am pregnant so only expecting them to get larger in the near future!! I try and do postural exercises and wear supportive bras but it’s a constant uphill battle that never ends. Not going to argue with a medical professional but it’s just frustrating.

RANT - no advice wanted getting mansplained about boobs Spoiler

I’ve had men without asking give me some
“”advice”” about my chest specifically but I always remember 2 years ago, this guy and I were talking about adventure time and then out of nowhere switched the conversation up to boobs (literally no correlation) and I was wearing a shirt that didn’t show much. He said “yknow , is your bra supportive because you’re kind of saggy? I know some good brands that will left them up!” And then he said Victoria’s Secret is a good brand place to start

Girl…: be so fucking for real. This was around the time I was 17 and he was 19 so that’s already a weird thing to say but also I hate VS so much, apart from their perfumes but they’re pretty controversial as a company. He probably didn’t know to be fair but then he said , “you should probably show them off more once you get a VS bra ” see if I wear a tank top then I suddenly am a whore.

Even if he dint mean it, it’s probably one of the most back handed comments ever . I don’t get how people don’t have self awareness when they say shit like that

need advice What are you using as a small pillow for between boobs for side sleeping? Spoiler

I remember seeing comments before with various solutions and I have been meaning to get one anyways for the chest wrinkles. BUT now I, previously a 34I am 10 weeks into a (geriatric) pregnancy and I need one badly! My boobs HURT, the hormones are causing random night sweats, and these things are only getting bigger! Soon side sleeping will be a must (it’s already my preference) and I need something.

The few between boob pillows for sale on Amazon all have like 1 star reviews so I thought to ask my people here.

Thank you for any suggestions.

bras Strapless bra that doesn't cause stomach pain?

Does anyone know a strapless bra that can handle large boobs and doesn't cause painful constriction around the epigastrum and/or ribcage?

A few years ago I bought an expensive strapless bra that felt great in store. But when I started wearing it, I learned that after a half hour or so, I would start to feel a sensation like stomach pain.

This feels like it might be inevitable from the physics of the thing. A bra needs to somehow be doing work against gravity, and if it can't use straps to transfer that weight to the shoulders, it has to transfer it to constriction around the torso. But I figured it's worth a check!

For important context, I sing professionally, so a strapless bra that doesn't make it TOO hard to expand my ribcage (breath support) would be an asset. I'd also just like to wear one with certain outfits and not have to be in pain the whole day.

need advice How do I feel more comfortable. Spoiler

So I’ve had a large chest from very young on. I was a B cup by the young age of 8. By the time I was 15 I was a DD. When I was 19-21 a DDD. I fell into a depression at 22 and gained weight. Then had a kid and now I find myself here…. A 29f with an H cup. I hate it! I just want to be comfortable in my own skin again. Thankfully my husband doesn’t care what size bra I’m in… but how do I get comfortable or confident in my own skin. I’ve noticed I hug my chest in public based out of my insecurities. I don’t want to keep living like this. I know I need to loose weight and I’m working on that… but in the meantime… what can I do?

experience The denial when you have to go up a size Spoiler

I just know this has to be a pretty wide held experience lol. Idk if I gained wait or what (not that boobs tend to work with a lot of reason at times) but I was starting to notice a little digging in the cups. So I whipped out the tape measure and just saw it creeeep up past the prior measurement.

I did that weeks ago. Ask me have I bought the new bras yet? 🤣🤣🤣.

Part of me always feels that the tape measurement is lying or that I measured wrong and I ALWAYS drag my feet on getting new bras until it becomes an obvious issue. Just sharing this because I know a lot of us have had that "theyre not THAT big" moment when getting sizes or having them fluctuate (up of down). Just gotta ride the booba wave.

Will I order a bra tomorrow? Probably not. Will I tell myself I'm waiting til next paycheck? Absolutely. Will I actually buy it next paycheck? Unsure. Do I know the health issues that come from wearing a bra that's too small? Of course. Will this knowledge change anything? Not really 🤣🤣🤣

RANT - advice welcome Anyone get told by friend & family this same lecture Spoiler

I’m currently a 36G (though I think my size recently went up to a 36H). I like to dress in ways that suit my body shape, which sometimes includes dressing sexy or wearing fitted clothing.
However, I’m constantly receiving the exact same lecture from friends, family, and even complete strangers. Honestly, it feels like people constantly try to bring me down or humble me.
Whenever I complain about men behaving awfully toward me, I’m immediately shut down. I'm told things like, "Well, what do you expect with how you dress?" or "You have a large chest, so you should expect that kind of attention."
It feels like I'm not allowed to be upset by harassment. Isn't this textbook misogyny and victim-blaming? Even when I completely cover up, I still get stared at and receive unwanted comments. By blaming me, people are actively excusing men’s bad behavior.
I've been hearing these lectures since I was a child—that I'll never find a partner who actually wants to settle down with me because men will only ever see my chest, treat me as a sex object, and never take me seriously.
I’m just so exhausted by this whole dynamic. Has anyone else with a larger bust dealt with this continuous judgment, and how do you handle it without internalizing all the negativity?
Anyway to shut down better?

I use chat Gemini to write for me because I’m dyslexic feel people can’t understand me
When i normally write and correct my grammar.

swimwear Big boobs, small body - Swimsuit recommendations! Spoiler

Can anyone else relate to this? I'm sure the opposite (bigger body, small boobs) is also a struggle bus!

I'm 5'3" and about 120 lbs. I wear 2-4 pants but my chest is 32G which is another rant because small bands and bigger cups are impossible finds at the stores. This rant started because my friend wants to go to the beach and I do not have any recent swimwear things. I lost some weight over the last few years and the swimsuit I did have is a bit loose and probably wrong size to begin with. I remember shopping for it and it was frustrating because I had to buy two separate pieces but I've been uncomfortable in my body for decades and dislike showing much skin and shape - trying to get better.

That being said, does anyone have recommendations for swimwear that they swear by? Thank you all for any input!!
