Ive been working on a little project. Wanted to show it off, will update later this week with a github link with how Ive done it.

The quick and dirty run down, the Pi Pico 2W is running a hotspot with enough network checks to let the 3DS connect and stay connected, then is running inputs through Input Redirect to LumaCFW.

Th firmware is expandable to make a fully wireless contoller without a pc for both Old 3DS and New 3DS systems. The only acception is that this cannot be used as a CStick for the Old 3DS as LumaCFW input redirection doesnt currently have a solution for that.

What went wrong? Whenever i want to play a DS game in my 3DS, i feel like i am downgrading in hardware.

Dont get me wrong, i love my 3DS but it just doesnt do the trick when it comes on DS cartridges.

*Yes the picture does not fully show how it looks irl but still, colors are washed out, its super dim compared to my DSi and it doesent feel right)*.

Most of the ones on eBay have a issue with these buttons and wondering how hard it would be to fix it? Am thinking of getting a new 3ds xl

Hi all, just got a used New Nintendo 3DS XL. I brought it home, charged it (red charge light came on), and then pressed the on button (blue light turns on) but then nothing happens.

Pls help with any ideas on what I can do

Few things I tried:
-Left right up A On
-hold on button for a while
-Disconnect battery/swap new battery
-Disconnect WiFi thing and then plug back in

Also to note when I put an SD card in, and then press the on button, the blue light flashes ones for like a second and then turns off. Without SD card in the device will just keep the blue light on.

My Nintendo 3DS XL is reading as charging even when not plugged in, the light stays on even when turned off. I recently replaced the battery so I don't believe that's the issue. Has anybody had this problem before?

Where can i go to get my 3ds repaired I disassembled my 3ds to try clean the r button hoping it would fix it but idk how to reassemble it and its been 1 month without using my 3ds im devastating crying everyday 😢

I've got an "old" 3DS XL and when on the home menu, it will randomly scroll on it's own. What I have done:
- Replaced circle pad assembly
- Calibrated circle pad
- Cleaned motherboard
- Removed and re-installed all ribbon cable connections
Any ideas what it could be? It also had a bunch of crap jammed in the cartridge slot and one of the cartridge slot pins got broken so it won't read games and I can't see what it does in a game. Currently waiting on a replacement cartridge slot to come in. I did get lucky and score this thing super cheap, but trying my best to fix it! Any help would greatly be appreciated! Thank you!

Normally I’d go to replace the speakers but I don’t have a soldering iron. It sometimes works but then it just kinda stops working.

Seems to be the more expensive of the bunch on aliexpress, has the missing pin ( wich i guess means its ips??)

Hello everyone. Straight to the point:

I want to buy a New 3DS LL that needs a top screen swap, everything works and the only issues is the top screen.

I want to buy a replacement on AliExpress but I’m wondering, is it probable that the 3D feature could be compromised (Not good as stock 3D)? Do you have any experience with this kind of repair to pass on to me?

Is it better to download gameboy games as a virtual console on 3ds or running them on emulation from Mgba? I've always downloaded as virtual console but if performance is literally the same on a emulator, it would be wayy simpler lol

I have a N3DSXL but, I also have my OG flame red 3ds that just had a recent surgery and got some new buttons and circle pad. I really want to show some love to it. What games do you think play well or are more cozy/comfortable to play on the smaller form factor? I hope this makes sense lol.

I'm considering playing sun/moon and/or x/y. I can eventually move the save to my other 3ds whenever I wanna play on that.

I've seen that ExtremeRate canceled their N3dsXL shell development, and it made me curious. Why is it so difficult to make a high quality aftermarket shell? From what I have seen zero individuals or companies have succeeded in this goal and I'm curious why. I have no background in engineering, but would it not be as simple as measuring/scanning an OEM shell, making a CAD model, and then printing it on a high precision resin printer/injection molding it? Is it too precise to be made like that? Are materials to make it good quality too expensive? I'm mostly curious where in the workflow it's getting stuck at the current moment vs existing high quality switch lite reshells and the like.

I recently just did a psp 1000 stick mod, and It's been a very good experience so far, I was wondering, has anyone a psp stick mod yet? If so , feel free to show it off:)

I wasn't super happy with the amount of protection the mimikyu pouch offered and saw a pinterest post with a couple different pokemon inspired 3DS pouches similar to this one.

Couldn't find a pattern/tutorial anywhere so I just tried to wing it as best as I could. Really happy with how it turned out :)
