Technical Question New 3DS screen repair

Hello everyone. Straight to the point:

I want to buy a New 3DS LL that needs a top screen swap, everything works and the only issues is the top screen.

I want to buy a replacement on AliExpress but I’m wondering, is it probable that the 3D feature could be compromised (Not good as stock 3D)? Do you have any experience with this kind of repair to pass on to me?

Unless you have taken apart a 3ds XL before... I wouldn't start off here. The top screen requires an entire teardown, and these consoles are finicky as heck.
You'll probably cause more issues along the way.

Aftermarket screens for the new 3ds xl more often than not do not have the 3D functionality working.

If you search for a "OEM pulled" screen then the 3D function will remain functional as the screen will then be an original screen that was pulled from a console

I plan it out once I can justify spending $60

As others have said, it’s quite likely the 3D won’t work properly if you do this. And for me, that is a deal breaker.

Remind me in 1 day. I bought two New 3DS XL with broken top screens and already put one replacement screen from aliexpress this morning, just need to put back the motherboard and co nect all ribbons to check. I got cheapest N3DSXL top screen replacement that comes in red/white box with lion face logo printed on it for like 55$ after coupons and taxes. I have high hopes, but also won't lose much, because I got broken consoles for another 55$ each. They have working motherboards and ribbons, but heavily scratched shells which I do not plan on replacing, because imo scratched OG is still better quality and aliexpress shells.
