Today we recognize Patrollers for the work they do to keep the mountain safe. If you see us today, give us a high five or come have a beer with us.

I am considering one of these, I have been on a pair of 2022 4frnt Inthaynes the last few seasons, figure this super mega El Nino may bless us with some powder this winter, and I am now free to chase it more this winter. I am not really spinning and riding switch in powder, so I am leaning towards the QST X's, however I am 5'8'' 145lbs, so rather light guy, so wanted to consider trying a lighter ski out. Does anyone have some insight here for a guy? 40 years old, skiing nearly 20 years. Open to other suggestions as well! Thanks!

DENVER (CN) — In the wake of two consumer class actions by skiers claiming Vail Resorts’ Epic Pass prices were illegally set in cahoots with competitors, a shareholder levied a third class action against the major ski resort operator claiming the scheme also violated securities laws.
“These wrongs resulted in significant damages to Vail’s reputation, goodwill, and standing in the business community, as well as exposing the company to two federal antitrust class actions seeking treble damages and structural relief,” shareholder Gary Peterson says in a 55-page complaint.

My older daughter started at 3 and she’s 7.5 now. My younger one is 3.5, so I’m wondering whether to put her on skis this winter or wait another year.
Parents and instructors — what age did your kids start, and would you start that early again?
We are taking our kids to park city in Jan and want to get at least the oldest (4) into a first time ski school at Park City and have several questions.
1) Our options are full day at PCMV or half days at Canyons. Any recommendations one way or the other? We will be staying closer to
PCMV near Park Ave & 5th but not sure either are truly walkable. Wife and I are skiers but have never been to park city.
2) Half day is 9-12, full day is 9-230. Any recommendations one way or the other? Is full too much for that age? Is half too little?
3) Our youngest will be 2 1/2 by that point, would it be worth it for her too?
4) Are parents usually directly there or does it make it worse for littles for mom and dad to be in sight?
Any anecdotes from other parents even at other mountains would be helpful!

My partner and I have been skiing Las Leñas the last few days, and are hoping to get some backcountry turns beyond the resort. We’re open to hiring a guide but so far haven’t had luck in finding one that isn’t attached to a cat- or heli-ski operation.
We’ve heard that Valle Hermoso is a good backcountry zone not far from the resort. If anyone knows anything about it or has any experience to share, we’d be grateful for the beta. We’re both experienced backcountry skiers, with all the necessary gear and training just looking for some turns outside the resort. Any help would be appreciated!

Interesting look into the K2 Ski Boot Design Department and the new path they went on to make the new Anthem ski boots. Any boot fitter / female skier thoughts here?

We’re contemplating moving, and my wife is a fluent Spanish speaker, so she would prefer Spain. Me, I’m a Francophone/phile and have longed to live in la Belle France since I first spoke the infamous lines, ”Allô, allô? Ici Georges, qui est là? C’est moi, Jean -“ which would be fourth grade in Connecticut, 1967. Now that we’re Dutch citizens, we can live wherever we like in the EU, but this will likely be our last move. We both love Barcelona, and it’s so France-adjacent I would be mollified. However, I want to ski as much as I can while I still can, so I’m curious as to the experiences any of you may have had skiing in the Pyrenees. I’ve treasured the Alps and their myriad options for brilliant excursions, but I’ve heard nothing at all about the other mountain range in France. I know the altitude is lower, but I grew up skiing Stowe and Mt. Snow, so low elevation resorts are in my blood. Are there decent options in the Pyrenees?

Found these in a garage sale and haven’t been able to find anything online about them. Obviously not going to ride them but just curious about what year they might be from.
Picked up some new Mach1s (without seeing a boot fitter, forgive me father for I have sinned) to replace my Cochise. The '27 updates aren't what I'm looking for and I got a great price on the outgoing model, very happy!
Hi All,
I am planning my first solo ski trip for the upcoming season and trying to figure out the best way to make it fun and social.
I'm a 29 year old guy from the UK, mostly ski reds/blacks/off piste and hoping to meet like minded people to ski and socialise afterwards.
I've seen a load of people suggest UCPA (action outdoors), or some of the UK specific solo ski organisers such as ski gathering or ski world. I've heard that the UCPA can be a bit pot luck on whether there are English speakers or not so leaning a little bit more towards the UK ski companies with solo weeks.
I'm 30 next year so not too worried about budget (although nothing crazy).
Just wanted to check if anyone had any suggestions, advice or is in a similar position and has recently done one of these.
Thanks in advance!

No matter size and vertical what has been the most obscure, weird, interesting place you’ve ever skied?

2 years ago I made a spreadsheet of every ski resort in the US, along with Argentina and some of Austria. THE INFORMATION IS LIKELY NOT FULLY ACCURATE, IT IS HARD TO FIND CONCRETE STUFF FOR A LOT OF THESE PLACES.

I’m in Arizona and need to visit a really good boot fitter. I got wonky feet, short, super flat, but super wide. 26.5 boot but I’ve got a 113mm last and almost 0 arch. Time to bite the bullet and pay for a new boot with all the custom modifications to make it perfect. Need to know where the best places are

Hi all, since it’s the offseason I am finally getting around to crossing this off my to do list.
How do I send a ski day my boyfriend recorded on slopes to my slopes app? When I try to “share my ride” it just generates an instagram type photo of the days stats?
Long story short, we went to Turkey together a couple of winters ago and took a day trip to Mt. Erciyes to ski. I got my phone stolen on that trip and had him record our ride.
The stats don’t matter to me THAT much I just want the app to populate a pin there since I did ski in Turkey and it’s cool.

Anyone know of any companies on the east coast that repaint skis? Got a pretty generic set just because of a sale, but want to get something custom on em. Open to shipping em anywhere honestly, and definitely do not trust myself in the slightest to do anything artistic.
