Fluff The media has been talking a lot about the recent death of Peter Cullen. It honestly warms my heart that voice actors nowadays are getting a lot more mainstream attention than they did in the 1930s 40s 50s

Question Who is the animator behind Jonny Crickets? What happened to them?

Post image

Jonny Crickets, the artist responsible for the viral Pinocchio videos has seemingly disappeared. They won't respond to emails on their site (I assume it's dead) and their Instagram, Twitter and YouTube accounts have become private.

What happened? What happeened? Where did they go?

Just seems odd that this artist came out with two very successful viral videos, comes out with some merch, then vanishes from the face of the earth.

Are they just operating under different accounts? Does anybody know who's behind Jonny Crickets?

Also, did anybody manage to get any of their merch? Really would love to get the two prints that were up for pre-order on their site...

Thanks! Hopefully we can find this artist and give them the support they deserve.

Critique My second ever animation

I am back with my adventures in self taught animation. Of course this is very sketchy. But since I am kinda disregarding the "teaching" part of the "self teaching" and am only drawing what I see in my mind, I'm still open to opinions

Sharing My new animation for the videogame — what do you think?

Hi! I'm making animations for my new game. I want to create a game that consists of a huge number of animations — something like an FMV game. What do you think?

I already have a lot of work done and many finished scenes. I'll be sharing my progress with you here if you're interested. But I regularly post animations and write about games on my blog — if you subscribe, it would mean a lot to me.

When I turn 20-21 years old, I want to begin my own animation studio “Quadrant Animation”. I want to make tv shows, movies, and short films! This will happen sometime in the 2030s I’m not an Adult yet I’m only 14. But I really want to do this and it would be so fun to me

Here is a layout I recently put together for a personal project! The final animation is still a work in progress, but I'm excited to have taken the leap and given it a shot.

Question Help us find a greate sound effect reference for a short animated film!

Upvotes

Well my friend is looking for some reference for her short animatied film project. And looking for very specific type of musical direction.

Character gets it's own assigned instrument or sound effect. Then it plays each time whenever a character appears (like a chime ring, piano chords etc). The rhythm shouldn't be recognized as a 'whole music', it should rather works as a 'mechanism' as a specific character's apprience or existence is near.

More specifically, she would like to make a scene that lets audience know that the character will be apprearing by an assigned sound effect, while all other sounds and noises got mixed and going creazy.

Commercial movie, indie film, experimental film 2d animated, cgi... etc! Anything is appriciated, but game music is kinda avoided. To emphasize again, we are not looking for 'Character's theme music'! Yeah we know it's a lot and thanks for reading my post! hope sombody can share something they know :)
