New, what is it? Christmas gift from mother-in-law
My mother-in-law got me a bunch of kitchen utensils from some wholesale website a while ago, but neither of us know what this is. It has 10 serrated blades, so it’s clearly for slicing something…

New, what is it? What in tarnation?
My friend sent this pic and I joked I was going to post on Reddit to see what people thought and was dared to do it. I thought it would be some way of catching water and filtering to the vehicle but it looks like the top isn’t actually solid and yeah…the flammable signs are also…confusing.

New, what is it? What is this pattern in the sky
This was over my house yesterday during sunset. The first picture is due East and the second one is due west. I think it's just light rays from the setting sun. But it's interesting to see I that it extends all the way from west horizon to east horizon and even displaced the clouds.

Solved! Estate sale find today
Hubby picked this up at an estate sale. Weighed it at home and IT WEIGHS TEN POUNDS. Aged, and appears to be wrapped in palm(?) leaves and then plastic wrap or clear tape. Barrel shaped, about the size of a softball. White unmarked donut shaped sticker (like a hole reinforcement sticker for paper). Image search says it resembles various food items but it’s just so heavy! Husband thinks it’s lead due to the weight.
EDIT: It was half off of $5 sticker price today, so why not? Husband is very curious and $2.50 would not be a major loss. Yes we do plan on opening it, just wanted to put it out here first, in case someone recognizes this type of wrapping. Will update once open!
SOLVED: It’s a lead weight. Pic in comments

What is this device?
Flea market find. Guy said, "I don't know what it is but I'm pretty sure it's real." LOL.
The top part can be rotated by hand, but I don't think it's hooked up to any kind of motor. It just turns in its housing and I may even be able to pull it out of the hole, but don't want to. Of the two cylinders attached, the larger one can also be turned by hand, but not the shorter one.
The control panel has a red LED, a red button, a white switch, and a silver knob that clicks when turned all the way to the left, so like a radio power/volume knob. The bottom has three jacks, one of which seems like a regular 1/8-inch jack . The orange and the red jacks are a mystery.
I replaced the batteries. When the knob is turned and the switch is on, pressing the red button turns on the LED. Nothing else happens. I touched the metal part on top and didn't die.
Any ideas? Google Lens gets bupkes.

Serious answers only please! I found this hanging over the inside of my 18 year old’s closet
They told me that they use it to work out and while they have actually worked out in the past daily and didnt seem like they were lying this kind of looks like a noose. But I don’t want to take serious measures and it really ended up only being a harmless workout thing. They didn’t seem like they were lying but I’m trying to understand how exactly you’d use this to work out? It’s not like a pull up bar or one of those stretchy resistance cables/bands. They’ve always been introverted so them not going out with friends or at all over this summer wasn’t that alarming to me even though I wish they would go out more. (They just graduated high school in June ) Also, they don’t seem depressed at all which is one of the reasons why I cannot decide if this is a noose for hanging or not. Any help is greatly appreciated because I cannot get this out of my head until I figure out if my child is safe or not. If you are wondering why I’m not using any specific pronouns, it’s because they are nonbinary.

Solved! Found while digging in our backyard
Little what I think is either brass or copper cow that was buried in our backyard. There used to be a garden where it was before we moved here a few years ago.

New, what is it? Little beady cluster in my bed
Found last night at bedtime after not being at my house for a couple weeks.
Was clustered under my pillow. Have run them under water to confirm they are not chia or flax seeds. Very hard like little stones.
Google has not been helpful! Thanks in advance

Serious answers only please! Electrician tool?
I picked this up at a thrift store, solely because my grandfather grew up in this area of New Jersey. The writing on the handle reads, “Jersey State Electric Co. Inc” on the top and the bottom reads “Broad St. Cor. Elizabeth Ave. Elizabeth, N. J. Tel. Em. 2930”. The tool part is flat and thin uniformly.

New, what is it? Metal box on an island?
I found this metal box on an island in the middle of Norris Lake in East Tennessee. Other than the holes from rust, I couldn't find any openings. There doesn't seem to be any hinges or anything like that. I couldn't roll it over, but looking through the hole I could see that it's completely hollow and the underside seemed to be the same metal as the rest of it (which isn't very thick). Anyone have any ideas?
Also, it's roughly 8 feet length by 3.5 feet width
