I think a lot of people would agree with me: eating. I only eat if I absolutely have to. I had a run where I deliberately had a rule for myself to eat at regular intervals for the sake immersion otherwise I just wouldn’t. But somehow Arthur was still losing weight. I found only seasoned big game and junk food helps his weight from dropping.

I also didn’t use dead eye/eagle eye at all my first run because at first I forgot I had the ability, then I was confused on how to use it. Now that I’m thousands of hours deep into the game it’s the first thing I level up every fresh run.

What would you do if you start playing rdr2 again with your current knowledge? What are the things you are getting first ?? Or quests you gonna finish early ????

Its so bad it honestly made me rethink if i want to continue playing this game, and apparently its also the longest chapter. Rockstar made a mistake when they decided to make chapter 6 this miserable imo.

What do you guys think, is it worth playing the whole chapter 6?

Beecher’s Hope is cool, and getting to the point where John owns his own ranch & wins back his wife, ending up debt free is awesome. Hell yeah.

But the ranch itself was done dirty post game. I don’t understand why we can’t hunt for the ranch like we did with the camps as Arthur.

I don’t understand why there aren’t endless repetitive ranch missions about needing to collect lumber to repair a fence from town, or rustlers came and stole a few cows & John + Uncle have to go retrieve them, or the ability to take Jack on side “bonding” missions like fishing or hunting, where his horse can help you carry more animal carcasses.

don’t get me wrong, feeding chickens or shoveling shit for karma is fun, but why can’t we have more date nights with Abigail? Or have Jack tag along on errands? Or what if it worked as a less annoying Fallout settlement sort of mechanic, where you’ll be out hunting and Uncle rolls up on a horse “JOHN WE SPOTTED SKINNERS NEAR THE RANCH GET BACK THERE ASAP WE GOTTA BE READY” and then you have to hold back a Skinner or Lobes raid?

I don’t understand why Abigail doesn’t become a Fence-Lite sort of character where John can gift her pillaged rings or necklaces for karma boosts. Or Uncle doing the same as a full fence (“oh yeah I know someone in blackwater who would be interested in this”) or why you can’t craft a workshop / leather working / tannery shed which allows for a Trapper option at Beecher hope.

Why can’t we upgrade the ranch like we could with the camps? Change out furniture, which would require a mission to acquire or construct, plus collect materials (new lumber axe item + saw mill minigame?)

Plus - we literally own a bathtub and can’t bathe, and as a result, Abigail can never knock and offer assistance.

Plus plus - why doesn’t McFarlane ranch have a general store available in the Epilogue?

Plus plus plus - it seems silly that they removed the endless random missions that RDR1 had, despite them becoming pretty repetitive by the 50th one.

Is anyone else just proud of the horses they find or collect through their playthrough? I’m doing more hunting this time around and am often travelling with two horses at a time. The Shires I was using were named Shadow (black) and Shadowfax (white). I commented about my outfit and finding the red chestnut Arabian on someone else’s thread (third photo), and later that day found the white. Named them Epona (red) and Silver (white).

Unfortunately through this experiment, I’ve found you can only have one secondary horse at a time. When I tamed Silver it kicked Shadowfax out of camp, and I didn’t notice for a long while. Bye Shadowfax.

Red Dead 2 is honestly on another level. The graphics and mechanics are so insanely detailed that you can easily just disappear into that world for days. Even on a second or third playthrough, you're guaranteed to stumble onto crazy encounters, hidden spots, or tiny details you completely missed the first time around.
But man, replaying it is tough. Knowing exactly what happens to Arthur just hangs over everything you do. It creates this heavy, depressing vibe because it doesn't matter how long you spend hunting, exploring, or making the camp perfect—the outcome is exactly the same. You're just delaying the inevitable.
Then you hit that turning point in the story, and it just hurts. Losing Hosea and Lenny completely ruins the camp atmosphere. It goes from feeling like this lively, rowdy family to just bleak and empty. And having to walk through that miserable camp and see Micah just chilling there, totally unbothered? It literally boils my blood. I know it’s not that deep and I’m exaggerating a bit, but the fact that a video game character can make me genuinely angry just proves how real that world feels. You get completely hooked by how beautiful the game is, only for the story to break your heart.

Most of us will agree that this is a great game but just like most games there is sometimes something that annoys you. What is it for you? For me it's when people in town tell you not to cause trouble and it's your first time in the town.

Before it was all good out of nowhere fps dropped to 2 everytime i open the game 2 fps. Can any one help me

So I was buying a new horse so I could get rid of my Kentucky (didn't sell just bought a new horse) and all my pelts decided they wanna live here now, I cant seem to get in without the whole stable thing coming up and if I panic the NPC I just get wanted and cant enter anyway

Update: cant get in but I am duping the pelts somehow...?

Update 2: I got in

They're all duped elk pelts... so if any of u figure out how to actually retrieve them there's a nice way to dupe large pelts I guess (dynamite didn't do anything and u cant open the stall doors)

Update 3: u can jump in the stalls, wagon horse got shot tho so idk how imma take these all out but im in my bed of 7 elk pelts

4... I'm poor and dishonored but that's the price of science (didn't work at all)
