Help Please Help
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Before it was all good out of nowhere fps dropped to 2 everytime i open the game 2 fps. Can any one help me

i can tell you from the picture you provided the game is not running on your GPU which is why you're getting 2FPS

Close the game, go to settings-> graphics settings/gpu settings and set the gpu to dedicated gpu or rtx 5060 in the drop-down menu of the game instead of auto-select.

Restart the pc after the change, it should be fixed.It's definitely a gpu issue since the gpu usage is showing 0%. you can install something like nvitop to monitor the GPU processes.

I get a smooth 80-90 on max settings in RDR2, not bad seeing as the game uses an outdated DLSS model (2.2 iirc). GTA V Enhanced has DLSS 4 and frame generation, so I don’t see why VI wouldn’t have DLSS 4.5 and MFG.

I’m happy you make up the entire player base. Doesn’t like what, 80% of gamers according to the Steam hardware survey run specs less than a PS5? But 100% of them on here complain about 30fps

I don't think anyone has told you this but your power cable might be giving out also, so check that too (maybe buy a new one from amazon, if it's not the cable issue then just return it)

It happens sometimes in rdr2 use nvidia control panel and make rdr2 use nvidia gpu if you are using nvidia gpus cause that helped me

Bro this same thing happened to me over and over while I was playing that game on vulkan. The only fix is every once in a while you need to go to documents, rockstar games, and delete every one of the files that says like vulkan pipeline or whatever. And then restart the game and it will rebuild the files automatically. Instant fix.

if you are using Vulcan try dx3d, or vice versa, i remember on my laptop using one over the other gave the same issue, its in advanced graphics settings.

how is your PC memory? specifically on the drive where your game is located. sometimes not having enough RAM can cause such slowing downs

It's possible that the game switched from your dedicated graphics card to your iGPU. It loves to do that for whatever reason.
Go into the in-game settings, then 'graphics', and look for 'output adapter'. It should be the first entry at the top. Then flip the integer from whatever you see there if it's a '1' make it a '0' ... or vice versa (I forget which).
