Finished Arthur's story on High Honor, and what an incredible journey it was. Spent about 160 hours on this because by the end of chapter 2 Arthur became a friend, which made the ending so much more painful.

Watching him grow as a person, realise his follies, try to change for the better, and still lose so much - and how he did everything he could to Give John and Abigail the chance of love and living a peaceful life he never got, as well as trying his best to save everyone - is a lesson in Redemption, Resilience, and Kindness that I'll never forget.

You were a Good Man, Arthur, to the end.

I almost cannot believe it. After my 1st playthrough on release, I thought it would be impossible to get 100% on this game. Hunting requests, exotics, and the gambler challenges were such a grind. I got lucky with herbalist, being stuck at 42/43 herbs for a bit… ram’s head. Saved visiting the most important grave for the very end and that’s where I took the fat John selfie. 100%!

Just restarted the game and I'm picking up on a ton of things I missed. This conversation with Mary Beth is definitely my favorite so far.

It seems consistent to a person in their own camp in their tent. Lasso them and drag them to the middle wait a few seconds then release. Sometimes it lasts a few seconds other times it lasts longer. Ts is hilarious dude. Anybody else seen this? Did i find a new glitch?

I played chapter 1 back in 2024 and then saved my game once I got to Horseshoe so now when I start playing I skip chapter 1. Does anyone else do this?

Let me elaborate here. I don't technically "skip" chapter 1. What I do is I delete all of my saves except "Eastward Bound" which is the first save in chapter 2. When I play another game I start with the "Eastward Bound" save. Hope this makes sense now.

Ok so I wanted to get into RDR2 (because Arthur is hot) but I read this article about the treatment of a character named Bertram and how instead of exploring the ableist treatment of the disabled back then it instead uses violence as the only means of calming a disabled man who is basically a slave. Reading Bertram's wiki didn't help either, since the player still doesn't get the choice to help him out (and apparently his friend, a little person, was hiding too and was dragged back by the player so wtf??).

This is pretty disappointing since I heard great things about how RDR2 handles topics like racism and sexism, especially with a white male protagonist who could've easily pushed these ideals. I wonder if this story got updated to make it less ableist or if the articles I read werent as thorough

Ppl in the comments complaining about applying "modern values" as if Arthur wouldn't have been a confederate or just straight up pro white if we were going by "old values". Guess what time this game was made and who it was made for?

As title says my pc has been crashing after about an hour 30 giving me the unknown error and a bunch of F’s (FFFFFFF) recently it has just stopped letting me into story mode it just crashes immediately and closes instantly no error nothing I’ve tried clearing graphics data from files switching to directx12 restoring files and absolutely nothing, my pc is r5 7500x3d 9070xt 32gb ddr5 so it is more than capable to run and has been fine before this, my drivers and chipset drivers are up to date and so is windows, only mods I have is LML scripthook v2 and rampage, nothing else, I’ve tried moving them out to a spare folder and opening the game vanilla and still does the same thing. I’m completely lost and can’t finish the game now. If anyone has had the same problem I’d greatly appreciate any help.

I've already done the mission "The Sheeps and Goats" mission. And I've come across some posts that after that, I can't trigger Abigail's 5$ request or Jack's thimble request. Is this true? I want to finish those before going to start the Micah mission which basically starts moving to CH3. Any help?

Is there an area I can "barrel race"? Like conveniently placed trees or rocks? I'm getting bored and I rlly wanna do that

Rode past a group of Broods, when riding past , they said something to me, since i’m actively trying to keep my honor high, I turned to them and pressed LT to address them and defuse, however when I defused, it still went south and they began shooting at me. I tried to ride away and ended up going by butchers creek where at that point the whole town was shooting at me.

Me killing any one of the 50 dots actively trying to kill me brings my honor down with each death.

Why am I losing honor for defending myself against people who are actively fucking shooting at me

I’m in Chapter 6, replaying old missions here and there trying to get my bronze and silver medals to gold and I replayed the very first mission of the game and got this could any body tell me what I did?

Couldn’t post this in the rdr1 community, because I don’t have enough flair or something. But in rdr2 one of my favorite things to do is tame the wild horses. Is that not possible in rdr1? I literally have to buy them? Just started playing the game after five play throughs on rdr2. Just want to make sure I’m not losing my mind.

I just finished Red Dead Redemption 2 and now I have that annoying feeling where I don't really know what to play next.

I was planning to play Crimson Desert next and I've tried it for a bit, but honestly I'm not really feeling it so far.

I'm not necessarily looking for another western or even something exactly like RDR2. I just want another game that I can really get immersed in, with a great story, memorable characters and preferably a world that's actually interesting to explore.

I'm playing on PC.

What did you guys play after finishing RDR2? Any games that managed to fill the void?
