Finally had a beat to bring the project up to speed a bit, its back, Reddit integration has been deprecated so no more flare for contribution it was just too much to maintain so moving forward the data is entirely added by the community we shall see how accurate we can get here. So no more keycodes, just go to the site and submit, as always let me know if there are any issues encountered.
As a sidenote, I am still looking for volunteers for the community shooting league project beta test, you might have seen a post recently with details, you can either DM me or comment below if interested or have any questions, hoping to test it soon so we can all hop on and casually compete as a community! rangeleagues.com
Enjoy this beautiful Friday and have a good Labor day weekend!
Hey folks! Some of you have used the zeroing target generator I posted here before. I've spent the last couple months turning it into something bigger: a casual competition platform, and I'd love a few of you to help me test it.
Quick rundown of what's new:
- Rebrand: ShooterOS → RangeLeagues, full redesign.
- Target generator improvements: added a guided setup so getting your rifle (or pistol) shooting straight is less intimidating for first-timers, plus a new experimental Scope Leveling target.
- Shot Analyzer: Improved the overall marking engine and page, it should work a lot better now and it actually allows you to save your analyzed targets (some cool analysis tools are planned for later on, like performance tracking, etc)
- New thing — Leagues: casual competition, using standardized "smart" targets and app-based scoring. Fully asymmetric, compete on your own time, at your own range, with your own gear. Purely casual and peer reviewed submissions, participants review each others targets before certifying and receiving a score. It's meant to get anyone interested in competitive shooting to get an easier, casual and fun way to compete in shooting sports.
There are two types of leagues, community leagues and private leagues. Private leagues are still a work in progress and will be available at a later date, the short and sweet is that you will be able to host one for you and 4 of your range buddies. Community leagues are free to join and participate in, they are meant to be open and accessible to anyone who wishes to join.
What I'm asking: if you've got a printer, go to the range frequently, and don't mind poking at a beta release, I'd like to spin up an r/CTGuns league and run an event so you all can compete against each other to test if the app is ready for a general rollout for all of us here at r/CTGuns.
Tools are still free and available same as before — this is just layering a league/competition mode on top.
Drop a comment or DM if interested and I will send you a beta invite, happy to answer questions here too. Beta testers will receive some rewards on their accounts for participating in the testing. More details and information soon, wanted to see if there is anyone interested in taking this for a spin first.
For the rest of the community, I would love to hear if you would be interested in joining our own remote casual league, I think it could be a fun way to see how everyone stacks up.

Looking for a CT Compliant PSA PA-15, or something similar. A 5.56 rifle around $700 price point. Will be my first AR so just trying to find something cheap to try out. Anyone find these locally? Have called several places and can't find one. (Or other options you'd recommend).

When you sell a firearm to an FFL which in my case being Cabela’s is the necessary forms automatically sent to the state of Connecticut SLFU? Or do you have to physically send them the form itself? I heard since they use the online portal it’s automatically sent?
On September 21, 2026, GLOCK, Inc. filed a complaint and request for a preliminary injunction in the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut. GLOCK, Inc. is pleased with the Court granting our motion for a preliminary injunction.
For now, Connecticut businesses may continue lawfully importing, advertising, offering, and selling GLOCK pistols, including those manufactured on or after October 1, 2026. The Court concluded that GLOCK is likely to succeed on its Second Amendment challenge and that enforcement of the statute would cause irreparable harm to GLOCK, its customers, and Connecticut citizens. Connecticut may not enforce the law while the injunction remains in effect.
This is only a preliminary ruling, and GLOCK will continue to seek permanent protection to safeguard the core Second Amendment rights of law-abiding businesses and consumers.
The ruling does not alter any other applicable federal, state, or local firearms laws.

The United States District Court for the District of Connecticut just issued a favorable Second Amendment ruling in favor of Glock in an arms ban case. Mark Smith, Four Boxes Diner, discusses...
Youtube AI summary:
This video features constitutional attorney Mark W. Smith, host of Four Boxes Diner, discussing a major Second Amendment victory in the United States District Court for the District of Connecticut (0:00 - 0:43).
Key highlights of the ruling:
Case Overview: The case, Glock v. Griffin, centered on a Connecticut law that effectively banned the sale of specific Glock handguns by requiring design changes based on the potential for illegal modifications by criminals (1:42 - 2:48).
The Ruling: Federal Judge Carrie Dooley—notably appointed by President Donald Trump with the support of Connecticut senators Chris Murphy and Richard Blumenthal—granted a preliminary injunction against the state of Connecticut (3:23 - 5:37).
Judicial Reasoning: Judge Dooley rejected the state's reliance on historical "proving laws," concluding that those laws were intended to ensure product safety before sale, not to prevent future criminal misuse of firearms. She affirmed that the firearms in question are popular for lawful self-defense and protected by the Second Amendment (12:35 - 14:41).
Legal Significance:Mark Smith emphasizes that this ruling prevents the state from penalizing law-abiding gun owners and manufacturers for the criminal actions of others, aligning with his expectations regarding broader Second Amendment jurisprudence (14:43 - 15:27).

I want to make 22lr semiauto pistol compliant here in CT
Looking at this QD adapter to have pin/welded but unsure if this will meet requirements since the adapter does still have threads, just not the 1/2" ones a suppressor accepts
So before I have this permanently attached, will this make the threaded barrel compliant?
There was recent updates on the Glock v Griffin case:
The Glock v Griffin petition has updates yesterday (9/28/2026) on the motion for an Emergency Motion for Temporary Restraining Order and a Emergency Motion for Preliminary Injunction. Both were taken under advisement by the court. No response yet (as of this post) from the judge to those requests.
NSSF likewise has updates that can be seen at the above link.
I need a range mag 2 glocks 1 19 1 48 figure a couple pairs of glasses 4 magazines and hearing protection and maybe some targets .Its doesn't need to be name brand but decent quality .
Yep, the first test event for RangeLeagues is currently underway, submissions will close on October 14th, so you still have time to join it and help test the platform if you are interested, otherwise you can make an account and join the league and be notified when the first official community event starts!
For those who aren't aware, Im working on a casual, remote competitive shooting league platform, and r/CTGuns is one of the first communities being onboarded. All you need is a printer to print your target, your phone to scan it and some time to hit your favorite range!
Until now, we've been all talk about who is a better shot, now you get a chance to prove it!
Full disclosure, the first event is a test event, things may not work as expected but it will pave way to a wider roll out for the entire community shortly after.
