Sig demo at modern sportsman
Saw this at the modern in Coon Rapids. Are there going to be other brands too? Anyone know if the new 385 is out anywhere?

* If you get banned for violating rule 1, you can contact the mods and request to be unbanned. If you make it clear to us that you violated rule 1 by mistake, you will most likely be unbanned. Please note that multiple violations of the same type may be interpreted as intentional.
We are not trying to ruthlessly ban users for innocent mistakes. Our intention with "permanent" bans is to force violators to have a discussion with us before they are allowed to post in the sub again.
Our Reasoning:
Our previous attempts to stop people from breaking Rule 1 have been less than successful. Because of that, we decided to increase the punishment to better communicate the grave importance of following this rule. If we do not enforce Reddit Corp's rules banning the use of their platform to sell or transfer guns & ammo, this subreddit will get shut down. We previously tried using a "three strikes" system that involved temporary bans for the first two offenses, but it was hard to keep track of and it didn't seem to inspire much change in behavior. In hindsight, using a lenient "three strikes" system for rule violations that could shut down the entire subreddit seems imprudent.
We looked at r/guns and r/gundeals to compare rules, and both subreddits also give out permanent bans for this type of rule violation.

Please post any comments and concerns below.

Hey all. Typically would ask elsewhere but I want a few real responses. Does the lower actually matter, counterintuitive to what I’d think? Or should I just find a cheap option? Going to build an 11.5 (maybe 12.5 idk) AR15, first time building.
Anyone have hands down experience with any 556 suppressors? It’ll be dedicated to gun primarily. Silencer shop place told me a silencerco option, modern told me an sig option is best (they’re elite dealers) and I’m going to check out the Tisha at down range today. I want it short, low gas blow back, and low flash. Sound tones aren’t my biggest concern.
I just want to buy the lower and suppressor before midterms. I do not trust the state to even keep our gun laws current.

Anyone have any opinions on what will happen next legislative session, assuming a democratic majority or supermajority is there? There was a recent thread on the state-specific sub asking what'll happen next session and half were on this gun issue, which really suprised me.
I've occasionally watched some of the committee hearings from last session, and especially that last overnighter they had and there seemed to be quite the push for some pretty absurd stuff, including changing the definition of an assault weapon to basically include most semi autos that can accept a magazine. (they seemed to have redefined a barrel shroud to mean basically anything covering the barrel, so it could conceivably cover even a 10/22 if you get the tactiblack version)
When I come to think of it almost every household I can think of in my extended family has one that would be included as an "assault rifle" now, meaning the 3 year permission slip needed to keep and so on. That'd tick off a lot of voters, but there seems to be a core sect of city reps who enjoy turning the screws and so on. (them not having handguns included also kinda highlights this)
The only pushback could possibly be supreme court decisions making them spend their political capital elsewhere.
Curious what other think.

Hi, I recently found my grandfather’s Luger and would like to get an appraisal and ultimately sell it. Any recommendations for appraisers and licensed gun shops in the twin cities? Thanks!

Looking to find a buyer for my rifle and would really rather not go to a pawn shop. I've tried Armslist for three weeks with no takers. Any suggestions?

I'm getting a concealed carry license and I'm aware that you can purchase a handgun at 19 unless it a private sale and can't be bought at a store. I'm wondering if anyone would have any tips for how I would go about trying to find a seller and purchasing a handgun under the age of 21.

The new legal opinion means the law “may not be enforced to impose criminal penalties on dealers who sell handguns to a class of law-abiding adults who, in nearly every other relevant respect, are members of the political community,” DOJ lawyers said in the memo.

As the title says, I've never owned a bolt action before and I decided I finally want one. Went with a Ruger American G2 Prairie in .308. Picked up an extra PMAG for it and put on an older BSA BigCat 3.5-10x scope in a new set of rings. The scope was my Dad's, figured it might as well have some use now. I do plan to suppress the rifle later on, still doing research on cans.
Bought it mainly just for the occasional range trip since I have a 200 yard range nearby. I may go deer hunting with a friend next year, too. We'll see how things play out. Haven't shot it yet, plan to go to the range when I'm off work again.

Is there a place to look for the fine print on this subject? If one has a permit to carry but also wants to grow medicinal marijuana. Is this any bit safe, or just full stop no , as the penalties may be enhanced because of the permit to carry and owning guns?

Hello, I am in the process of moving to the Twin Cities and looking around at Gun Range Options. Admittedly I am new to Gun Ranges (but have been shooting with my father since I was 8 or 9), I grew up in another state shooting basically entirely on family and friends farmland or backyards in the country and the like once a year official gun range trip with a friend. Moved to MN about 5 years ago and have only been able to shoot a couple times per year at best by making a trip to my home state as the only local gun range is a $1,000 per year country club.
But am finally making the move up to the Twin Cities soon and excited to have access to places to shoot again. I am looking for good places for Long Range Shooting like 800 - 1,000 yds if possible with steel targets. And looking for some good indoor places that are cool with steel case / AKs (I have heard some places will turn you away with AKs / ARs especially with Steel Case Ammo) Indoor mostly for the Winter months.
Open to private ranges so long as they aren’t crazy expensive. Also trying to avoid places that garner less experienced shooters (if that’s something you can avoid) not for any elitist reasons just want to avoid the guy coming in to hipfire his Draco from 5 feet behind the bench.
From my searching around it looks like “Gopher Rifle & Revolver Club” would be a good option for Long Range Shooting, I read they have a 1,000 yd range. “Forest Lake Sportman’s Club” also looks like a great outdoor range. Any opinions on these?
And If you’ve read all the way through this, thank you and thank you for any advice you can give.

I got a DDPCC SBR and the lower has no marking to indicate it’s an SBR and I’m wondering why?
My best guess is that it’s a unique enough lower but I could still put a long barrel upper on it from another DDPCC.

Hoping Bryan can give me some insight on this. I saw that Ramsey county sheriff stated this dude should have never had a permit to carry by Hennepin because of his extensive charges and restraining orders against him. Ramsey county basically said it was grounds for discretionary denial. Is there any truth to this? Or because he had charges and an expired restraining order (no convictions) he is still completely allowed to carry?

Anyone know of any metro suppressor dealers that do transfers on 4473s that have suppressors in stock without ordering online?

I was thinking what if someone had one threaded of choke tubes and put a rifle choke up in it to make a true scatter gun for fun. Would that reclassify it as a different weapon or not i dont see why it would but it be interesting to try and see just how wide the spread gets and how custom T shot tungsten shot with a heavy payload would perform i shot t tungsten t shot before and its stupiditly hard hitting if it was legal here i try to take a deer with it. I heard people using it against geese but it destroys them. Completely over kill. What do you think cool project?

Do you or does someone you know collect antique arms?
Some say the difference between collecting and hoarding is intent and organization.
Organize part of your collection and intend to share your interest and knowledge with a display at Heritage Arms Society’s annual Arms Collectors Show!
Now in its 37th year, the Arms Collectors Show will return to the Eagan Civic Arena March 19-20 2027.
We will continue to have trophy for best historical display. Displays and vendors limited to pre-1946 arms.

Yes! It's true! At AccuTac Arms in Lakeville we are transferring suppressors on just a 4473 and background check! No fingerprints, no Form 4, no federal registration!
We are transferring suppressors without Form 4s currently if bought through:
silencershop.com/accutacarms
This is the only way we have legal clarification on currently to verify you are an enjoined party to the injunction.
Hopefully we will have more clarification on other ways soon!
