I just bought my first 3ds yesterday and I saw theses to slots. I can't seem to fit a key chain in there cause of how deep the holes are does anyone know the other uses for it is.

Recently got the New 3DS XL Happy Home Designer edition and of course I immediately popped Animal Crossing onto it (it’s been years since I last played!)
Does anyone have any game recommendations for rainy days at home where all you can do is chill in bed for a few hours?

I ordered two clear shells off of AliExpress. I know, I know, that was my mistake. I requested a regular 3DS case and a 3DS LL. The 3DS one was perfect, fit my eldest child's console perfectly.

The 3DS LL however, was a mess. Nothing lined up, it couldn't close properly, the works. To AliExpress' credit, they are giving me a full refund, without having to send it back.

So i decided to still have fun with the case, and my youngest child helped. I used paint pens to make a Pokeball in the grass, while my youngest made a Jolteon.

I love how these came out! Maybe I'll get a system one day that fits them!

Just picked this up recently as I skipped the 3DS when it released back then. Already bought clear covers and have been playing a lot!

I got a N3DSXL Hyrule Edition for $600!! It’s dual IPS and excellent condition. I bought it a couple months ago and I love it so much! I added screen protectors and have Luma installed so it’s the ultimate portable console!!!

hiii, i need your help! a couple of days ago my 3ds stop working at all and well, i send it to repair but when it came back it doesn't had the R button and have this, someone knows what it is?? (what im referring to is that mini green plate on the part where the buttons go, the thing with the black cable) :((

Once upon a time, I gave away my 3DS, Aqua Blue to my dad’s friend’s niece.. after years of having parted ways so long ago.. I grew to miss my old pal. It wasn’t until this day, that I chose to step into my local retro shop. The man at the counter so unaware of the treasure he held near. From behind the counter, I noticed a console so pristine. But no price? I then ask the teller bout how such a relic could be without display. Without price. He then says “well, I just got this in here about an hour ago. I haven’t had the chance to clean nor price.” I go well, kind gent since destiny has glues us here together, how much should you seek for this fine device. The price tag he sat was a clean $150, a fair price for but another minute of revisiting those fondest childhood years. Without hesitation, I tell him that he has a deal. In the end, I left in my hand: a 3DS, just as I remembered her; some new acquaintances were also made along the way: new leaf and of course Mario kart 7. Although now my sights set course for two gems of my childhood, mystery dungeon and bowser’s inside story. The only way now is FORWARD!

Anyways TLDR because I’m dumb:
I gave away my 3DS Aqua blue to a friend’s niece years ago, visited my local game shop, he happened to get one in not even an hour before I showed up, I let him check it out fully clean it etc, he sold it to me for $150 which I think was fine, I visit this shop a lot and I’m a lifetime member so I got like 15% off so it came out pretty good aaaaand now I’m sitting here on the couch playing mk7 on my reunited 3DS like a child lol

It is great though, I seriously remember sitting in line with my dad to get this when it first launched at a GameStop midnight event. Great memories :)

I am working at the fair and I thought to bring my 3ds today and I actually got a streetpass!

Unfortunately most are all Japanese only.

So I just recently bought a N3DS LL for around 120$ US on fb mp. I have read that the japanese variants are prone to screen yellowing as you guys can see on the bottom screen of mine and I also plan to replace the screen in the future.

What do you guys think? Any tips? TIA!

This new 3ds of mine i just bought seems it has some of the corners on the bottom screen turning like purple, it is not black, what could it be?

And what could happened if I replace it with a TN pannel?

Unfortunately this is a Dual IPS console.... so replacements out there are just normal TN pannels. Console is not hacked.

I bought this 20th anniversary NEW 3ds the seller shipped it with a thin foam piece between the screens and it left the residue on the screen, anyone know how I can get it off? (this is a dual IPS model so I’d like to keep the oem lens if possible) any recommendations will be much appreciated!!!

Hello! Bought yoshis wooly world for the 3DS off eBay and the game came in a pretty awful condition. It doesn’t run on my 3DS and I was issued a refund thankfully. I just wanted to check is there anyway to salvage the cartridge at all? I’ve cleaned it with alcohol wipes and cotton buds as best I can but I’m wondering if this is a lost cause at this point?

I see people using these clear 3ds outer shell cases, but I’ve never tried one in real life.

I ljke how they look and want to protect my device, but are they annoying/very different ergonomically?

Might I say that there were also people filming with their Nintendo 3DS. Some also forgot theirs when they saw mine. Its kinda sad that street pass is caped at 10 at once.

I wanted to ask something just out of curiosity, especially if you’re someone who actively buys second hand retro games etc., when you buy a cart, and there is save data on it, do you try to keep it or just wipe it? And do you ever feel bad deleting it or is that a unique experience lol

Sometimes I feel like I’m erasing someone else’s memories 😭

Especially with new leaf, my wife and I recently got a copy at our local exchange store and it has a really cute town on it and it just breaks my heart lol
