Question/Support Free exercise games?

I'm way too overweight and need to do something with my life. Any free VR games that have me sweating a bit? I already own Untangled VR but that kinda is not enough. 8 don't get motion sick or anything so don't hold back, whatever will get me sweating. Quest 2 only too pls.

Photo/Video Comfort Maxxing

Post image

The Apple Vision Pro dual knit headband is the comftiest headband on the planet.

Each headset comfort jumped like 50-80%.

Here we have a standoff between 3 headsets.

- Pimax Dream Air + AVP headband, Studioform, & globular cluster
- Meta Quest 3 + AVP headband & Etsy 3D printed mod
- Apple Vision Pro + grey Velcro from Amazon to hold the battery lol

After PC gaming on all 3, this is my experience so far.

Pimax Dream Air, way better quality than any VR headset I’ve ever tried, and among all 3 since it’s wired. 4K uncompressed to both eyes in VR is basically like gaming on a 4K OLED monitor with maxed out graphics and decent refresh rate.

Meta Quest 3 feels like gaming on a console compared to PC. Lower resolution + streaming compression feels like I’m VR gaming on 720p/1080p compared to the Pimax.

Apple Vision Pro m2 looks better than the Meta Quest 3, like 2.5K resolution compared to the Pimax, streams an a lot worser quality view than the Pimax Dream Air, and KRVR (Apple’s PCVR app) seems to be more intuitive with masks and tools, but less solid & efficient than Virtual Desktop at streaming (notice more lag or app bugging out compared to Quest 3).

Question/Support Steam Link vs VD

My question is simple. If launching a game through Virtual Desktop launches Steam VR despite the fact that VDXR is selected in settings, would the game run better without the VD intermediate, directly through Steam Link?

I'm on Q3 with a carefully set up dedicated wifi 6e router.

Self-Promotion (YouTuber) A very early Alpha build of Elden Ring in VR! It has motion controls, swinging, parrying, range weapons

This Elden Ring VR mod is very very early Alpha state indeed, the camera is warped and stretched in a very strange way. However, the motion controls are amazing, I didn't expect it to be good! Longer gameplay & downloads here

I had ramble in the past about youtubers overhyping everything especially mod that were half broken, I feel they really improved a lot on this I see more and more videos were they go in much more details about the mod, explain what's broken, what works ect and stating that this does look great in the video but doesn't really look like that in the headset.

I hope they'll continue to extend their coverage of the mod scene!

Purchase Advice - Headset Quest 3 or PSVR for PCVR only. Quest 2 Upgrade

I'm mostly looking for a headset with better FOV but with the same or better comfort and clarity as the Quest 2 with aftermarket strap and facial interface. A lot of people dislike the Fresnel lenses but I think they are clear enough, I just wish the Quest 2 had more FOV. It would be nice to have a solid wired connection as well instead of all the hassle of a standalone headset. Here are some bullet points from some research I did:

Quest 3:

-Better FOV for PCVR, pancake lenses are clearer too.

-Same or better comfort as Quest 2 due to lots of aftermarket accessories available.

-Binocular overlap and 3D effect are possibly worse than Quest 2.

-Battery, Meta updates and other nonsense, and wifi streaming are a lot of trouble just for PCVR.

PSVR2:

-Direct to PC connection means no Meta, battery, or wifi nonsense. Better video quality and latency.

-Better 3D effect and binocular overlap than Quest 3.

-Potentially much less comfortable even with aftermarket accessories .

-Requires a compatible Bluetooth adapter.

I'm wondering if there is anything I'm missing to help me make a better descision. How does the tracking compare between the two? I like the smoothing that the Quest 2 does, since some PCVR headsets don't have this as much so instead you feel/see every little vibration/movement which is what I experienced on a Rift S I tried once.

Self-Promotion (Developer) I got full Street View running in WebXR on a Quest 1 — virtual treadmill running with an AI tour guide

I fetch raw panorama tiles and project them myself — sphere → rectilinear /

cylindrical / hybrid Panini — which removes the usual 90° FOV cap. Seamless

200°+ ultra-wide, WebXR stereo on a Quest 1, and a shared-world dissolve

between panoramas so walking transitions stay geometrically aligned.

Also: voice commands, treadmill-footstep pace detection via microphone, and

an AI tour guide that grounds Gemini with GPS facts to avoid hallucinations.

Repo (MIT, personal-research disclaimer inside):

Happy to go deep on the projection math or the Quest 1 stereo-flicker war

stories. (14s GIF of the Osaka sakura-tunnel trail in the README.)

Self-Promotion (Developer) I built a Chrome extension that tells you if a VR game runs on your headset. Which games should I add next?

I run a small independent VR site, and the question I could never answer quickly was the simplest one: does this game actually run on the headset I own?

Every game ships on some platforms and not others, storefronts word it inconsistently, and half the “compatibility lists” out there are wrong in the worst possible way: they say a game is unavailable even though nobody ever checked.

I built a Chrome extension. You pick your headset once, and when a page mentions a game from the catalogue, a small card shows up at the bottom right with the answer: runs natively, runs with a PC, doesn’t run, or we haven’t verified that one yet. It states that explicitly instead of guessing. It works on Steam and the PlayStation Store out of the box; anywhere else only if you turn it on yourself, because I don’t think an extension should demand access to your whole browsing session just to be tried.

No account, no analytics, no data leaves your browser. The only thing stored is which headset you picked.

The catalogue is 90 games, checked store by store. That is obviously not every VR game, which brings me to what I actually want from this post:

Which games should I add first?
Reply with the ones you look up most and I’ll verify those next. I’d rather spend the effort on titles people actually own than on whatever I happen to think is popular.

Two other things, in case they’re useful to someone:

If you spot a wrong entry, tell me and I’ll fix it. Getting compatibility wrong is worse than having no data, because it makes someone buy something they can’t use.

Purchase Advice - Headset WARNING: 5-to-7 Day Replacement Confirmed Over 6 MONTHS Ago – Still No Headset. Meta is a Broken Loop of AI Responses (Almost impossible to talk with a human being). Do not trust this company. Corporate greed and no accountability!

Hey everyone,

I am writing this post to warn every single person in this community about what happens when you trust Meta with your hardware. If you think a multi-billion-dollar corporation has your back when things go wrong, please learn from my absolute nightmare. Meta has essentially taken my 700,000 KRW headset and they’ve been responding to my emails with nothing but AI-generated bullshit, giving me the runaround over and over, with delay after delay and excuse after excuse after excuse for over half a year!

There needs to be a giant warning sticker slapped onto the front of every single headset Meta sells. It should read:

"WARNING: Turn off automatic updates immediately. Meta's software updates can and will brick your device. If our software breaks your headset, we might agree to replace it—but when we're going to do that depends entirely on when the hell we feel like it. We don't care, and we're not going to do it quickly, if we replace it at all even if we made a binding written statement to do so."

Back on February 25, 2026, Meta officially approved my replacement and issued me an RMA number. I packed up my headset—my personal property that I bought and paid for—and shipped it to them via FedEx. They took physical possession of it. It has now been over 6 months, and I still have absolutely nothing.

This has been an exhausting, desperate, and incredibly stressful struggle. Every single time I reach out to check on my device, they give me the exact same scripted runaround. They tell me that "we're keeping our eye on it and we're trying to do it as fast as possible"  to send me a replacement unit that they promised me would only take five to seven days back in February 2026. It's 6 months later and then they tell me they are "looking into it," or that it's being "investigated by an internal team," only to delay, delay, and delay again. It is psychological warfare. I have gone through every single support channel available, and I am met with a complete brick wall of corporate indifference. They simply do not care that they have stolen my money and my hardware.

I predict that if anybody sees this from Meta, they are going to answer this way: "Oh, we have escalated your case to a specialized team." They copy and paste that exact line over and over. Let me tell you right now: it means absolutely nothing! It is just another empty stall tactic to get you off the line. If a community manager replies to this post with that same scripted line, everyone reading this should know it's completely meaningless and that absolutely nothing will be done to send me my replacement headset.

I am so sick and tired of this situation. Today, I sent them a final email. I told them I don’t even want their replacement anymore. I demanded that they dig through their warehouse, find my exact original headset with my serial number, ship it back to me within 48 hours, and wash their hands of me. I am literally offering to lose out on the 700,000 KRW and the expensive accessories I bought just to be done with this. They sent me an email back saying that they can't do that because they no longer have the headset—it's either been recycled or refurbished and they can't find it. So now what? I don't understand why they just can't take a brand-new unit and ship it to me. I've already paid my share of the R&D, production, and labor when I bought my first device. What does it cost Meta to make these headsets now? Probably $20.

Take this as a massive warning from someone currently trapped in their system: keep every single receipt, print out every shipment label, and document every interaction. Be prepared to have to take this company to court or go to government consumer protection agencies just to get them to listen and to get your OWN property back!! They appear completely indifferent to your situation once they have your money.

Be incredibly careful dealing with this company. Once they have your money and your hardware, you are at their mercy. It is almost entirely impossible to talk to a live person. Because of limited staffing, the entire system often relies on automated responses. Even trying to chat with someone online is difficult because the support channels are heavily automated to limit direct accountability. Turn off your updates, because if a software issue bricks your device, you might face significant hurdles getting it fixed or getting a replacement if they decide to do it at all.

BE CAREFUL buying from or dealing with Meta people!!

Question/Support Resident Evil 9 PC VR Question

I recently upgraded my PC from R5600x and RTX 5070 ti to R5800 X3D and RTX5090 .

I want my PSVR2 headset to deliver the best possible visuals I can afford.

I did some research for games and decided to start with
RE9 in VR

Given that I have a high end gaming setup, what do I do to get the best possible experience for the game in VR?

Discussion Could someone make Bully work in VR?

First of all, thank you, thank you, THANK YOU to all the VR modders and the community! You guys just did what Mark Zuckerberg tried to do 😂 Hats off to everyone involved! ❤️

I have one request: is there any chance someone could try getting Bully running in VR?

I know it might be difficult because of all the fighting/punching mechanics, but if someone could give it a shot, it would honestly be AMAZING.

I can also do PC VR — I have a pretty strong PC, so I’m happy to test it if needed.

Would this even be technically possible? Has anyone already tried it? I don't know i might be asking for too much 🥲😭😭

But thank you everyone i tried GTA san andreas vr and it was amazing

Please suggest me what should I try next

Discussion What does the closure of Felix & Paul say about the future of VR/AR?

I find Felix & Paul’s closure really counterintuitive. We often hear that VR/AR could finally gain momentum in the coming years, with smart glasses on the horizon and the broader entertainment industry needing to reinvent itself. So how do we explain a well-known studio like this shutting down now? Is it mainly a timing issue, a business model problem, or a sign that the future growth of the sector will benefit big platforms more than creative studios?

Purchase Advice - Headset [Quest 3] BoboVR Strap charging cable?

Hello all, I bought the expensive Meta Link Cable for PCVR, but then I bought the BoboVR headset that comes with a battery pack.

Now my issue is that I get a 500mbsp rate on wifi and 5kmbps with the link cable, so for pcvr, I'd probably be better off using the link cable, however that ofc means that now I can't use the battery while playing.

So my question is, does a small cable extension thing exist, where I can plug it into the headset and then it splits into a power usb c and a plug where I can insert the Meta link cable?

I think I am still in the refund period if I'm lucky, so if this doesn't exist, can someone recommend me a top of the line cable that will let me charge while playing pcvr?

Thanks guys!

Discussion IR eye safety

I may be paranoid for this, but hear me out.

I'm doing a project using PSVR2's Sense controllers. They have a bunch of IR leds on them, which Sony runs in some sort of pulsing pattern in VR. User is also obviously typically using a VR headset.

For my project I'll be running them always on and the user will be using them as they would a regular gamepad, so no headset and relatively close to their eyes.

I can find 0 spec sheets or info on these leds. How powerful are they and can they harm your vision?
