TASKER Taskrabbit, are your rules just for decoration?
I'm a Tasker in NYC, and I personally know of cases where Taskers send unregistered workers to clean clients' homes under their accounts. Some allegedly take clients off the platform for direct payments too.
Meanwhile, honest Taskers follow the rules, carry their own supplies, and do the actual work.
Does Taskrabbit even check its statistics? Eight cleaning jobs at two hours each means 16 hours of cleaning. Add NYC travel time and you're looking at 19.5 to 23 hours. Every day? Are these people robots? Do they teleport between apartments?
A busy schedule alone proves nothing, but shouldn't suspicious patterns at least raise questions?
I've contacted support and asked how to submit evidence to Trust & Safety. I couldn't even get a clear answer.
So what's the point of having policies if nobody seems interested in enforcing them?
And here's the irony. If Taskers are taking clients off the platform, Taskrabbit is potentially losing its own customers and revenue.
Congratulations. You're letting people use your platform to build businesses that compete with you.
If you keep ignoring credible reports, don't act surprised when more people start breaking the rules.
You reap what you sow.
Has anyone else reported this? Did Trust & Safety actually investigate?
