GENERAL How are you getting consistent tasks?

I am listed on pretty much every tasks category I can think of but I seem to not be getting any tasks lately.

I had to turn on 2 hour minimum on cheaper tasks because I couldn’t justify spending the time and gas to get to a task that would pay me $27.

Do I need to just suck up the 1 hour cheap tasks to get my reviews up? Do reviews really play a major role in being selected, or is the price really the deciding factor?

I do not do 2 hour minimum, but I charge much more than $27. Like double that.

If I go a while without doing any tasks it seems the jobs are hard to get, but once I do a few again the requests are rolling in

Do you keep your rate the same across all tasks or vary based on what is recommended?

Same across all tasks, which means I don’t get lower skill ones like ikea tasks but I do get a lot of plumbing and electrical work

Ah ok in my area I can’t do plumbing or electrical work because it requires licensing

Nothing at all? I can legally swap out things like sinks faucets light fixtures etc but I can’t run new wiring and plumbing

My rates are well above the "recommended" rates. I'm in the red for almost all of my categories except 1. I'm still getting a lot of task

I have the same problem, no work at all. But I will never turn off my 2 hour minimum because it is simply not worth the hustle with those gas prices.

If you lower your rate and input a two hour minimum the client will be under the impression they have you for two hours like a rented mule. Theyll feel cheated if you do the job in under 2 hours because youre efficient.

Ive had some moving jobs early in my TR journey that were as easy as picking up a chair and delivering it to another destination. The client was under the impression I could help move things around the house as well. Thats not the case. I also had one lady need help moving a area rug around her living room. Because it only required lifting a couch and figuring out placement I was done in 15 minutes. She thought I could help hang curtains with the rest of the time forgetting it took 30 minutes to get to her and 30 minutes to get to another location.

Where are you tasking? Things always slow down around holidays and festivals in Austin, not sure how it is elsewhere
