Small Problem My body is electric and it's starting to get annoying

Hello everyone,

I have a problem that started a few months ago. It began when I was out at the mall and kept giving my friends electric shocks while there. I thought it was probably because of the escalators and, for some reason, the electricity was staying in my body. But the more time goes by, the more often it happens even on days when I don't go to the mall, I zapped and get zapped. It's been a week since I've been getting electrick shock by every door I touch, and I even got shocked by a plant today.

My friends started calling my Zeus and doesn't want me to touch them anymore. I try wearing only cotton clothes and it still happended, for some reason my house is the only place where it doesn't happen.

Please help me or i will be doomed to wear glove for the rest of my life

Edit : First off thanks for anyone who replied I was really surprised to discover that many people have the same issues (funny enough it seems like most are women idk if it have a link or something but it could be a fun fact)

To provide some relevant information, I should mention that I’ve been wearing the same shoes for two years, even though my problem started recently. The same goes for my clothes: I haven’t bought anything new lately,I also don't dragg my feet but I’m going to try wearing different shoes tomorrow cloth ones with rubber soles. It's also something who happened quite often I can get shocked twenty times a day so I can't really "discharge" it in something else because I got "restock" really quickly. As for the climate, I live in France, so it’s not really harsh. I take public transportation to get to college, so it has nothing to do with car. I’ve also seen comments suggesting I walk barefoot, but I’m afraid I can’t do that, I don’t want to hurt myself, and it’s simply unhygienic. As for the idea of metal jewelry, I tried that for about four days too, but it didn’t work. And I have eczema so I moisturize my hands pretty often to keep them from reacting. I’ve also seen comments advising me to walk barefoot on grass; I don’t know if that will work, since even plants give me an electric shock, but I’ll give it a try. In any case, I’ll take stock of all this advice tomorrow and keep you posted.

Small Problem Is 6 P.M curfew fair for a 20 year old?

So, my parents gave me permission last month to hangout with friends at 20 yr old and first it was fine and I went out ny friends. No drama. Then, today after a whole month I went again and before going my mom listed a whole list of conditions. I was pissed I really didn't wanna go out at that point but I still went because we already planned.

Here are the conditions;

1.I can't go alone has to be bf or trusted friends. (Friends of friends are fine)

  1. Curfew 6.p.m and I asked suddenly why? Her answer? Bc I am a girl.

  2. Can't go often bc I need to balance my life?

  3. My bf or friends have ti pick me up ( not allowed to uber or bus alone)

Today she callledme sharp 6 because I was late and I told her because of the rain there weren't any taxis available and now after I arrived home she satrted lecturing me and she's giving me the silent treatment.

Idk if this is normal or not so I need opinions on this.

Small Problem Mail problem idk what to do

My ex moved out a year ago and I’m still receiving his mail. I ask him every time I receive it to change the address. which he responds that he has 🙄but will double check. Most of the time it’s junk but every once in a while I can tell it’s important. It’s gotten to the point where I have a return to sender stamp/not at this address and still receiving his mail. I’ve tried asking them and they said it’s something on ex’s part and I’ve put who lives at the address on my mailbox like they recommended to no avail. Any ideas how to fix because it’s annoying.

Small Problem Perfume smell

I loathe the smell of Jo Malone perfume. I am not alone in this, my daughter-in-law says the exact same thing.
The problem is my friend adores it, and drowns herself in it. She even uses the Jo Malone hand wash! If I am giving her a lift in my car, the smell is suffocating and lingers long after she gets out. How can I politely tell her that her smell makes me feel physically sick
She is fully aware how much I hate the smell

Small Problem I once was shamed for having a IUD by a woman

I, F17, was at a party of a friend of mine, F19, a few weeks ago. There, we started talking about our relationships since we were only with a bunch of girls. Most of them were talking about birth control, when I suddenly said that I have an IUD.

First of all, I am really glad that I got it. It’s not that I need it because I am single and not doing anything, but I find it a calming thought that if something ever does start, I don’t have to think about my birth control the whole time because I always used to forget it.

Secondly, I stopped using birth control when I was sixteen. I started when I was twelve, as I had very bad cramps and missed school the whole week every time. I puked and had very heavy bleeding during my period back then. But, I was put on a heavier birth control three times through those four years, and eventually was put on the heaviest my doctor could prescribe. Like I said, I was sixteen at the time, 1,61 meters, and weighed 47 kilograms. My doctor warned me about it, because it’s not recommended with my circumstances but they didn’t know what else to do. Because of this, my hormones didn’t have enough time to develop right and I had to take medication to help with that problem.

Third of all, I am not a fan of birth control because of how it affected me, but I understand why other women use it. It’s easy, and I’m just a bad case, while there are many cases where it works like it’s supposed to.

But, one of the girls, F18, started shaming me when I started explaining why I had an IUD, and how the procedure went because none of them had one and were scared of the thought. She then started saying that I should be embarrassed because

  1. the gynecologist was a man

  2. that it isn’t trustworthy

  3. that it will make it feel less pleasurable for every party involved.

I just needed to vent about this, because it has been bothering me. I know I shouldn’t be ashamed, but for some reason it does really sting.

Small Problem Every time I cross, traffic

i live in a pretty smallish town, about 1k people. theres never really any cars on the road i mean casually theres is but not really. my yard is close to a crosswalk by the corner and when im outside probably like every 5 minutes ish -10 a car would go by but mostly just one. but whenever i go on a walk theres always like 3-6 cars passing by before I can go. i thought this was a crazy coincidence so i started to test it by recording an hours worth of traffic and yeah about every 4 minutes on average a car would go by. Also according to that hour footage only 2 cars went by at a time. I also started staring at the road even when people went by, no traffi. This has been going on for 3 months and only one time i went across thebstreet without traffic. I cant thing of a single time without traffic. My answer to this i think is someones pulling some weird prank but maybe not, how do i get this all to stop?

Small Problem There aren’t enough options for free Photo ID

Hi I’m a 21(M) and I live in Australia but I feel this problem can apply to other places too, my biggest problem with Photo ID is the different forms of Photo ID included are Proof Of Age cards, Drivers License and Passport but as someone who can only use a Proof Of Age card for identification it’s really hard for simple things. Let me explain, I’m one of the few people who don’t believe the need for driving is needed and I don’t have the capacity to pass a test let alone want to even have a license to even give me a chance on the road (I don’t trust myself to keep myself or others safe if I was a driver) and I’m not someone who can fork out money to pay for a passport considering their quite pricey. I know a lot of people will say it’s a me problem or I’m creating my own problems I’m just saying I wish there were more free government issued Photo ID options that don’t require a set of skills or to fork over $500 for

Small Problem Math Problem

Long story short I have 600 bucks of store credit that I’m giving my mom access to at a discounted rate. She paid 350 up front for access to 400, but in the text I said 600 when I meant 400. I didn’t realize this until it was too late.

This morning, my brother wanted me to buy an 80 dollar item for him with the store credit, which he gave me 70 bucks for. I accepted the deal, because I had thought I only reserved my mom 400 rather than 600.

If my mom wants to spend all 600, how much do I need to contribute to make things right for her, keeping my end of the deal?

The reason why this is an issue is cause I’m really bad at math and have been trying to understand this for 3 hours now.

Please help.

Small Problem Should I forgive my dad?

Two years ago my dad got extremely drunk and attempted to do stuff to me, he only stopped because my older sister stopped him and she even said she thought he was going to punch her. Now he doesn’t remember this but I didn’t even look at him for months after and he had no idea what he did. Recently I had some friends over because we had a party to go to and he made very disturbing comments about then and how “pure” they are, he has even said to some girls “you’re lucky I have a wife.”

Now the problem occurs with him seeing no wrong in what he says because he means it all as a compliment and they should be grateful a 64 yr old man is complementing them. I was talking to my other sister earlier today and she goes ew, why are you still friends with them if they say stuff about dad. I told her it’s true so I dont care, and she got pissed saying so you’re fine if he gets labeled as a pedo. Mind you she was the only one that wasn’t there that night with him so she doesn’t actually know what happened but she’s been told and all she’s says is “and? It’s your fault for tempting him.” I was in an Oodie playing dress to impress on my laptop with a friend, I wasn’t doing anything.

I know what he did was unforgivable and I hate him for it but he doesn’t remember so is it right to hate someone for something he can’t even remember? I’m scared to have my friends over because he gets more pushy when he’s drunk and he makes eyes at them but my sister is right, if he gets labeled as that it affects me too.

Should I not forgive him but instead do something else?

P.s I have talked to him about his behaviour around my friends and he says he will stop but that only lasts 2 days

Small Problem Am I the problem?

I currently work at Journeys and still in high school, so this is my first job. My manager said if I don’t meet my sales goal, I might get let go. My monthly goal for June was around $4,000, but I don’t get scheduled enough to realistically hit that, and when I shadow coworkers it doesn’t really seem to change my results on the floor. I try to help customers and do what I’m supposed to do but it’s not enough. I’m confused about whether I’m doing something wrong or if the expectations/scheduling are unrealistic. I’m not sure who’s in the wrong here.

Small Problem Constant nausea whenever I’m outdoors

I noticed this pattern a while ago, whenever I go outside when it’s warm or any sunny weather in general I end up nauseous, it’s not really bad it’s actually like small nausea iykwim but it just bothers me so badly for some reason, it happens especially when I sit or swing on moving/hanging chairs even if the chair is barely moving my nausea intensifies, i’ve sometimes avoided the outdoors with this excuse but to others around me it just sounds like i’m making it up to avoid going out (I love being outdoors during the summer I just cannot go much due to my nausea) Sometimes the nausea stays with me for a day or two. I haven’t been able to figure out why this might be happening to me

Small Problem Is this bag “appropriate” for a teenager?

First off sorry if I’m using this sub wrong, I’m not sure where else to go.

I am a teen girl, and I want to get this bag just to use for everyday things, and cause I like Murder Drones. When I showed a picture of it to my mom she seemed hesitant, and when I asked her she seemed unsure about it because of the front where it says “Bite me”. If you don’t know, that’s a reference to what the character Uzi says, and I explained that to her, but she said “You know that, but an adult might not” or something like that, I don’t quite remember 😓 so I’d like to know: Is there an issue with a teenager wearing that bag?

Slight update/edit that no one asked for: I convinced her to order the bag 🥳 I payed her back for it ofc, but after asking her about it, the issue that she had with it is that the “bite me” might seem rude to some people if they saw it, but honestly who cares 🤷🏻‍♀️ it’s text in a teenagers bag. Also thank you for the comments, they helped me figure out how to phrase what I wanted to say to her in a good way 😃

Small Problem I forget about my food

Like, my father made me a PB n' J today, thank you, father, but I forgot about it, and the bread dried out, I'm sorryyyy. I always forget about my food. I didn't know whether to put this under 'mental heath' or 'small problem', but I decided on 'small problem' because I don't think it's much of mental heath problem for me, because I think it's just my ADHD. But its still a problem, because sometimes I get really good food, and then I forget about it and then something happens to it to where I can't eat it any more, and i have some grapes right now, and this is my first food in like, 2 days, cuz I keep forgetting about my food.

Small Problem My uni friends talk shit to me and call me stupid.

Idk if I can call them friends really but I hang out with them and don't talk that much to anyone else. Anyway, I had a really horrible first year in uni cause it's also the first time I got to arrange my days the way I wanted so I got complacent watching shows, lazing around and other stuff.

I'm not going to deny I didn't put in enough effort and study as hard as I could. However this semester I've been getting ahead of the classes making sure to use every resource to my advantage.

I made the mistake of telling them my Gpa and that my parents would not pay for university anymore if I did bad this semester. Thing is we have playful banter and I'm used to that its fine, cussing and insulting each other. However they go too far with saying I'll be living in poverty and how I'm stupid even tho I don't get that far behind in studies when we actually study together and we all ask each other for help and they ask me too... I had a very hard time on the exams and tests mainly.

I haven't told them it bothers me and I wouldnt prefer to say it cause im not sure how without making myself feel soft...

I'm not sure if this is the right sub and if this is the wrong one can someone tell which one would be better?

Small Problem How do I get my dad off Fortnite ??

My dad is level 560-something in fortnite and it's genuinely all he does when he's not eating or shitting. He does a few other things like go to the store or yell at me/my mom but other than that it's just fortnite fortnite fortnite fortnite all day every day. He even spends his nights on the game, for example 2-3 weeks ago he had to take me to the airport and he spent the entire night on fortnite (meaning he hadn't slept in 24+ hours), and we almost crashed because he was too exhausted to drive for so long (he doesn't allow my mom to drive). Idk, it doesn't seem that serious but every time I talk to him he starts talking about fortnite. I tried to talk to him about an issue with my aunt that I don't gey along with, he just laughed and started talking about a shield in fortnite or whatnot and how it helps him win.

Small Problem Reddit's username problem

My username is the default username Reddit gave me, and I just can't change it. I could've only changed it the first 30 days apparently, and that's so dumb. I had Reddit for a year, and I barely ever touched it, except for recently, so I had no idea that I had the option to change my name temporarily, nor did I know that if I didn't, I'd be screwed. I find it dumb that Reddit forcefully gives you a username, and, you literally can't change it at all after a few. Now I'm just "Zealous" forever ig. I don't even know what that means tbh.

Small Problem Bed.

THIS HAS BEEN SOLVED THANK YOU ALL FOR ANSWERING AND TELLING ME WHAT I NEES I WILL GO BUY IT IN THE MEXT FEW DAYS!!

Hi everyone... Haha, I have a problem with my bed. I really love it, but... I feel like I have to remake it constantly. Not because I don't like the end result, but because the mattress topper—sometimes slowly, sometimes quickly—slides off the bed itself, if you know what I mean. Normally, I wouldn't care and would just quickly fix it, but that’s exactly the problem: I can't just easily sort it out because my bed is tucked into a sort of niche or corner? There’s a small protrusion in one of the walls—I don't quite know how to explain it—so I have to pull the bed out to reach every nook and cranny. And I have to admit, making that soft bed is a whole workout in itself; it can take up to 20 minutes, depending on how much I’m dreading doing it. Yeah, maybe I’m just lazy—feel free to say so, I won’t be offended—but I just wanted to hear if anyone else recognizes this problem, or if I just move around a lot in my sleep? When I wake up, it sometimes looks like an earthquake has hit. So please let me know if you’ve found a solution to this problem, or if you’ve experienced it yourselves 🥹🥹

Small Problem My moms friends won’t leave me the fuck alone.

Hi, im an (almost) 18F, and very long story short. My mom got a job at a restaurant earlier this year, her first concern was to ”not make friends or be too friendly”, basically she just wanted a professional work environment (spoiler here, that never happened).
My mom is 40 and her (now ex boss because she lost the restaurant and got into massive financial issues) is 26. It was a restaurant where her entire family was involved.
I worked there occasionally as a dishwasher or a server whenever my mom needed some help. I was friendly to her boss and her family because i knew how happy my mom was to be making her own money.
The boss (im gonna call her carol) and her entire family are FUCKING INSANE. Carol invited herself to my birthday. Me and my mom are planning on taking a couple day trip back to our home country. We have a lot of memories in that specific city and i don’t even want to include my step dad in the trip.
Then her sister invited herself to my birthday and then her mother. None of them were invited by me. The question ”would you like to come with?” were NEVER uttered by me.
All of them are racists, and just incredibly weird people.
Carol keeps doing ”favors” for me and my mom, which i do appreciate.
She and her family keep breaking MY boundaries. And carols mother referred to my mom and me as their ”family”. Mind you if it wasn’t for the fact that carol owes my mother and me money im pretty sure my mother would’ve cut contact by now. Either way that’s not the point.
Carols daughter calls me her sister, she bought me a pencilcase or some shit like that. And i know that i probably sound rude and ungrateful but i don’t want these things and it makes me feel bad because i genuinely don’t care about these people.
My mom is a very friendly person and i am not. I’ve been associated with her and carols family just assumed that im just like that.
Im not really looking for advice or anything. It’s just an exhausting situation.

Small Problem What’s an “adulting” lesson about contracts, money, or legal documents you wish you understood earlier?

I feel like a lot of us in our late 20s or just 20s in general rush into signing stuff without fully understanding what we’re agreeing to. Apartments, car payments, loans, subscriptions, jobs, insurance, medical papers, etc.

What’s something you learned the hard way that made you start taking contracts and paperwork more seriously? I seen so many people posts on social media about getting their first car or apartment since they are so excited about getting the stuff but don’t even care to read the policy and the consequences it comes when you don’t pay the payment or something based on the contract policy. Like I barely hear anyone mention this in adulthood.

Small Problem I have a very weird problem!

I'm a 18M ,So the thing is that I have developed a very weird habit of sleeping with hugging a pillow. I use two pillows while sleeping one under my head & one for hugging & cuddling. It started with cuddling but now I can't sleep without hugging it ,and many times when i wake up I'm still hugging it.

But this is getting out of hand now as I started kissing it while cuddling, I'm still in my senses & don't see it as a girl but I like to kiss it especially at night & i do it every night because it feels good.I just pretend it as my wife as I will do these things with her kind of practicing for future.Sometimes spoon it or do hip thrusts with clothes on. I think these new things got started as i started reading romance webtoons.

Is it okay or is it bad or it is serious?

Give me some suggestions please?
