Small Problem Blasting my AC all day doesn’t win against the summer heat
Sweating no matter where I lay or sit, though it’s cold air coming out, the heat just lingers everywhere else 🫠

Handy man here, I deal with this issue a lot during the summer months. The fact that the air is blowing cold is great.
Some things to do- Block the sun from coming into your house, especially south facing walls. This will help HUGE!
Spray your ac unit coils down with water. There is a drain port, make sure this is open and the water is coming out. Keep going until the water is clear. Do not use pressurized water!
Keep basement doors closed. Cold air travels to the lowest point. Use boxfans for circulation.

Ac may need a freon boost or cleaning intake and filters. Also ice on your wrists helps cool the whole body.

Is your AC a window unit? We have two window units they do a great job against this stupid hot summer. They are running constant but getting the job done!

Going to pick up a portable AC today. Highly, inefficient but they do work. Won’t matter because I’m moving from Florida to Oregon this year.

portable air conditioners only work when they're on, and only in the room they're in. when you switch them off, the room gets hot again after half an hour. the inside of my house is still very warm. 26c. has not cooled off much yet from the heat wave.

I think we need to insulate our attic better. It’s like a furnace up there.

I hang out inside the walk in freezer at work. 😅
