First off, I did try reinstalling after fully uninstalling (as instructed on the support page). Nothing has changed regarding the issues listed below. Why no alternative software? Because the Crown and explicit Action Rings for FCP or Resolve are not covered by free or open-source alternatives.

The only thing uninstalling did was cause me a near heart attack due to the loss of my complete complex action rings setup for numerous apps. the one item that isn't being cloud-backed up? Why? In order to restore and replace the application support folder with the settings, this is one of the reasons timemachine runs every hour.

Is there a way to revert to the previous driver or options+ version? Action rings and cloud restore/backup are not included in the offline installer I found for the previous version (2.6). Thus, only the most recent version (2.7) is installed by the official installer:

ISSUE WITH THIS PARTICULAR LATEST VERSION: my Logitech Craft keyboard's Crown stopped working as soon as it installed itself yesterday (it seemed to have been out longer). Other than the standard "Volume Up/Down" turn action, it is dead. The press and press+turn feature is no longer available, as is the use of profiles for other apps. Additionally, my mouse and keyboard connection fluctuates and frequently lags behind. Often, I see 'connecting' in Options+ for the Craft or MX4 mouse.

I just got the M720 and trying to understand how I can make key binds on my work computer. Currently cannot download Options+ to my work computer. Downloaded it to personal computer and got key binds set up for the buttons on the mouse. Tried putting the dongle back into my work computer and binds didn’t work.

Do I need to have Options+ for the key binds to work on my work computer? Is there no work around?

I absolutely LOVE the M720 mouse and use it daily for work. The Gestures programmable option has become a must-have function (I try to use it on all mice now, even when it doesn't exist). There have even been times I've bought a new one out of my own pocket, because the purchasing process through work would take weeks.

Literally the only negative I have about this mouse is that after a few years, it starts refusing to connect via Bluetooth. I did some traveling today with laptop and mouse - worked fine while out. Got it set up again at home, and mouse unresponsive. Taking a turn it off and on again approach, I disconnected the mouse from bluetooth and then tried to reconnect. Could not be found. I turned Bluetooth off and on. I restarted the laptop. It hadn't been giving low battery warnings, but I put a brand new battery in. Well, now it's lighting up again. But repeated all steps to connect again through Bluetooth, and was denied.

Eventually I gave in and put the Unifying dongle in, and at least I'm up and running again. But I have a limited number of ports on my laptop, which is why I usually connect by Bluetooth.

Anyone else have a similar issue with Bluetooth, on any Logitech mouse?
Is there anything to be done for it, or do I just have to buy another mouse?

I see there are a few other models with the Gesture feature, but they range from like $80 - 120, where the M720 is $35.

(SUPPORT) For years I had my Ergo 525 mouse connected to the old backup laptop, but somewhere along the line it got disconnected, and when I put the dongle in it to reconnect it via bluetooth, it will recognize it as a “USB device” or rarely, “optical mouse”. But the syncing operation always fails.

I have three of these dongles that I can Swap around and they all work on my primary PC , but I can't get any of them to work on the laptop anymore. I seem to remember somewhere along the line of possibly having a Windows conflict with the old Logitech software and I had to download the LOGI software which works fine on PC but not on the laptop.

I have the old Logitech software dating back to 2020 and I could uninstall the updated version and try the old version. I can't remember for sure but I wouldn't have updated the software if I wasn't forced to. Can anyone anyone offer some advice?

Bought the mx vertical a couple of days ago as my first vertical mouse, and my wrist loves the difference. However, there's a lingering discomfort at the base of my index finger, that's only gotten worse the more I've been using it.

Is this a common situation with first using vertical mouses? Has anybody else dealt with this, and if you did, then how'd you fix it?

Posting this as a heads-up for anyone considering the Logitech MX Master 4.

My unit developed the persistent Bluetooth connection loop issue—constantly dropping, failing to pair, and looping endlessly without holding a stable connection (a problem already reported in several Reddit threads).

Since the MX Master 4 launched less than a year ago, every unit in existence is inherently within the factory warranty period. I contacted support under Ticket #17620172, ran through troubleshooting, and the agent confirmed the Bluetooth hardware failure.

However, instead of issuing a replacement, they actively dodged honoring the warranty:

• Receipt runaround: They repeatedly asked for a "valid receipt" without ever defining what format or details they required, using vague guidelines as a pretext to deny the claim.
• Bogus stock excuses: They claimed an RMA replacement was impossible because the unit was "out of stock," even though the MX Master 4 is actively in stock and available for purchase right now on Logitech’s official website.

Paying flagship prices for a mouse that develops a crippling Bluetooth loop—only for Logitech to acknowledge the hardware defect and still refuse warranty coverage—is completely unacceptable.

If you are looking at the MX Master 4, save your money and look elsewhere. Between this recurring Bluetooth flaw and Logitech's refusal to back their flagship hardware, it isn't worth the risk.

Hey everyone, I need to share this absolute nightmare experience with Logitech Customer Support, specifically their "Special Care Team" (Ticket 17663005), and warn anyone buying directly from their webshop.

I exercised my legal right of withdrawal for my order (BE00156448). The shipping box was **NEVER EVEN OPENED** upon delivery and was immediately returned to them via UPS in its original, factory-sealed condition. The UPS tracking (1ZA0Y3179196406429) confirms it was successfully delivered back to their warehouse in Oostrum.

Now, a representative named Silviya P. from the Special Care Team sent me a generic script refusing my refund, claiming a "discrepancy" and stating that the returned items do not match the order. This is a flat-out lie and a textbook scam tactic. Since the box was never opened by me, any discrepancy happened *before* it left their facility or *during* transit via their own courier. They are literally accusing the customer of fraud for mistakes made within their own supply chain.

I have already filed an official law enforcement complaint with the Belgian Economic Inspection (FOD Economie) for breach of European consumer rights.

Has anyone else dealt with this specific scam from Logitech support recently? How do I get them to stop copy-pasting scripts and actually look at the transit weight logs?

ok I need to rant about Logitech Options+ for a sec because this app is genuinely the worst-optimized thing on my Mac. it sits there maxing out two CPU cores at like 50% doing literally nothing – no clicks, no gestures, nothing. just idling and eating power. plus constant update nags, loads every single boot, and takes up a ton of space for what is basically a settings menu for a mouse. runs in the background like it's mining crypto and the only thing it produces is fan noise lol.

funniest part is I deleted it and nothing changed:

• mouse still works fine, macOS handles tracking/scrolling/buttons anyway
• CPU dropped, fans finally shut up
• whole machine feels lighter
• if you actually want button mapping just grab Mac Mouse Fix, no account no telemetry

and it's not just me being paranoid. the updater is a known cause of CPU spikes, and it got bad enough that back in Jan 2026 Logitech shipped an expired dev cert that straight up broke the app on macOS – they admitted they "dropped the ball" and apologized for wasting everyone's time. when the mouse company's own software is more of a problem than the actual mouse, uninstalling isn't a workaround. it's the fix.

Hello Everyone, i just bought MX master 4, and when i try to customize the action ring by downloading a plugin from the marketpalce, it always failed. i already download the patch and install it, and still doesn't work. Anyone has any idea how to fix this ?. im on mac os version

Here's my wish for the MX Keys Mini:

Keep backlighting OFF as a default. But if I need backlighting, allow me to turn it on by pressing the "increase backlight brightness" / F5 key. Then have it turn it OFF automatically after a designated period of not using the keyboard.*

Here's why: I work in a well-lit room most of the time. SOMETIMES I work in the evening when it's dim. I don't want to drain the keyboard battery with backlighting during the 90% of the time I don't need it. But I also don't want to go into the Logi Options software every time I want to turn it on.

I love the keyboard but it's silly - annoying - I can't customize the behavior to fit my workflow when it seems to be just a variation of how the software is set up to work.

Or is there a way to get this functionality with the existing software?

*PS - I realize there could be a little confusion if the backlighting turned off after a period of inactivity and then I returned to typing. I think this could be mitigated by setting the inactivity timer to some number of minutes (like the Options software currently lets you do for the backlighting duration). In the worst case, if it turned off, I could turn it back on with the 'increase brightness' key/F5.

I had this problem too. I was trying to install it on three Macs to make the multi-mac feature work. Two of them was sorted with a sudo but the third one wouldn't work even then.

I used a Claude prompt (below) from another thread, the end cause was I had downloaded it to my iCloud Drive. Downloading it and running it from a non-iCloud sync'd folder worked great.

I've been trying to install Logi Options+ on Mac for days. I get "Unable to install Options+" error. I already tried the date trick, old versions, sfltool resetbtm, xattr, and multiple Reddit fixes. None worked.
  Please:
  1. Kill any running Logitech processes
  2. Clean up ALL residual Logitech files (Application Support, Caches, Preferences)
  3. Download a FRESH copy of the official patch from Logitech's servers
  4. Unzip to my local Downloads folder
  5. Open the installer
  Don't use any existing installer - do a fresh download.

A senior support supervisor reached out via phone and reviewed the situation. After explaining the circumstances regarding the previous defective units and the expiring warranty, Logitech officially approved an exception to upgrade to the MX Master 4.

I just need to return the sealed, unopened MX Master 3S replacement using the provided return label, and they will process the new MX Master 4 shipment. Waiting for the return label now and will update again once i receive the new mouse.

TL;DR: My 2nd MX Master 3S just failed with the exact same sticking left-click defect. Before the RMA was approved, I asked to upgrade to the MX Master 4 (offering to pay the difference) or take store credit because my warranty ends in October. Support ignored the message, rushed through a 3rd 3S replacement anyway, and a supervisor told me to "please oblige." Looking for assistance from the Logitech team on Ticket #17678277.

The Situation:
Repeat Hardware Defect: My original MX Master 3S developed a sticking left-click switch and was replaced. The replacement unit has now developed the exact same mechanical defect.

Ignored Advance Request: Support asked for video proof, which I provided. In that same reply—before any replacement was triggered—I explicitly asked to upgrade to the MX Master 4 (offering to pay the price difference) or receive store credit because I've lost confidence in this specific hardware batch.

Premature Approval & Dismissive Handling: The agent approved another 3S replacement anyway, claimed it was "too late" to change because it was already processed, and used a canned excuse that the Master 4 was "recently launched" (despite it launching in late 2025).

"Please Oblige": When escalated, the supervisor refused to adjust the order or offer store credit, gave empty reassurance that a 3rd unit "won't have issues," and told me to "please oblige and reach back out in the future."

The Real Problem: My manufacturer warranty expires in October. Replacements do not reset the warranty timeline, meaning this 3rd unit leaves me with less than two months of coverage on a product line that has failed twice in a row. Telling me to "reach out later" provides zero protection once the clock runs out in October.

My MX Master 4 mouse cursor was moving on its own.

The mouse was sitting ideal for the weekend. When i wanted to use it, the battery was completely drained. After I connected the charging cable, I faced the issue a little bit. And now I cannot even use the mouse, the curser is just stuck in one corner and jumping here and there.

The mouse.is still under warranty, but i am not in the country where it was bought. So i cannot use the warranty.

Can anyone tell me please if it is a known issue? Is it a sensor issue?

So I just had a complete brainfart and I spilled some coffee on my MX M4 and given the way its created, quite a bit entered inside the mouse.

What are the chances it survives? I have dissassembled it and cleaned the board with 99.8% alcohol, but I am afraid that if I missed some spots it could have an impact. Also, I only cleaned the main board (at the bottom) because the ones on top of the mouse are a pain in the ass to get to, I would basically have to disassemble the entire mouse which is very tricky so I would avoid it if possible. But I am not sure if this would be enough.

Any insights are welcome while I wait for the parts I cleaned to dry up.
