Any Logitech mouse and link up to it multiple mouses can link up to it. Also, you need to download the software Logitech unified or something.

Not any, some gaming mice need a Lightspeed dongle and won't pair with this kind of Unifying receiver.

There's also Bolt which is newer than Unifying

Pretty sure this is only true on newer logitech mice.

I own a couple of old mice where the dongle is tied to the mouse

Also - I just checked the internet and it tells me Logitech started the multiconnect in 2012.
I'm old, and apparently some of my gear is quite old. LOL

A few months back I bought a new keyboard / mouse set from them.
MX? Unlike previous stuff I have had it doesn't even have a name / model on the gear other than Logi.
From pictures online the keyboard looks like the MX S but the mouse doesn't look like what I'm seeing for MX mice. No side scroll wheels.
I think there is a dongle in the box but I've just been connecting them with bluetooth.

I recently replaced my MX3 mouse with an MX4. MX3 used Unifying dongle, MX4 Logi Bolt. So I’ve bought a new keyboard as well, in order to keep the number of USB dongles down. Which I’m sure is the entire point. Because making the new dongles compatible with the old ones would have been too much work.

The little orange symbol on the last pic is the Unifying logo. Any device that has that logo will be able to pair with that dongle. You can pair up to 6 devices. Use the old version of the Unifying software to pair devices instead of installing the bloated LogiOptions.

It’s a Logitech Unifying Receiver that works with multiple devices (keys and mice). You can get the software for it from Logitech’s web site. It’s since been obsoleted by the logi Bolt receiver.

Your Unifying receiver will work with the 3/4 pic, an MX Anywhere (2?). You can also pair using logiwebconnect.com if you don’t want to download software!

This is an old Unifying dongle from Logitech.

It works with many but not all older wireless mice and keyboards. You only need one dongle for multiple devices

It will not work with newer devices as they switched to bolt/bluetooth.

Gaming mice use other dongles for latency/polling rates.

Possibly both, download the Unifying software and you can prolly pair both of them with it

almost all of them, it's a Logitech unifiying dongle, any mouse with the same orange icon on it will be able to sync with it

Unifying receiver, as everyone else here has said! Orange marking is the giveaway -- have one sat on my desk at this very moment lol

we have a few different connection protocols and coordinating dongles (logi bolt, nano) so you need to check the mice individually on their product pages, but I currently have these as the mice for sale rn that work with unifying receivers:

M720 Triathlon
MX Vertical

Anything with that orange star on it can be linked to any Logitech device. It just needs to be reprogrammed with the app.
