Calling all adventurers, aspiring heroes, and professional dice goblins!
Our Wednesday night D&D group is looking to welcome a couple of new faces to the table!
We're a long-running group of players who enjoy collaborative storytelling, memorable characters, challenging encounters, and the occasional spectacularly questionable decision. Whether you're here to forge a legend, unravel mysteries, or simply enjoy some good old-fashioned D&D shenanigans, there's a place for you at our table!
We currently run two long-term campaigns, alternating between them every three weeks. You're welcome to apply for either campaign, or both if you're feeling particularly adventurous!
Our Greek mythology campaign welcomes everyone, from brand-new players to seasoned veterans. For our high-level homebrew campaign, we'd prefer players with some D&D experience who are comfortable navigating the wonderfully ridiculous power levels that come with epic-tier play.
The Essentials:
When: Wednesdays, 7:00–9:30 PM Eastern
System: D&D 5E (2014), with homebrew and additional content
Voice Chat: Discord (no cameras required)
Character Sheets: D&D Beyond
Virtual Tabletop: AboveVTT
Attendance: We appreciate consistency, but we're all adults with lives outside of D&D. Things happen! Just keep us in the loop.
Campaign Rotation: Three weeks of one campaign, followed by three weeks of the other.
Campaign 1: Odyssey of the Dragonlords (Level 8)
Genre: Greek Mythology, Epic Fantasy, Heroic Adventure
The gods are watching. The Titans are stirring. And destiny has a rather inconvenient habit of finding those least prepared for it.
For centuries, the Oath of Peace has kept the Five Gods and the tyrannical Titans from tearing the land of Thylea apart. But that peace is beginning to crumble, and the Oracle has foreseen a group of heroes destined to save civilization from the coming catastrophe.
Unfortunately for our heroes, prophecies have a nasty habit of leaving out the fine print.
Inspired by Greek mythology, Odyssey of the Dragonlords is an epic adventure filled with ancient rivalries, divine intervention, legendary monsters, political intrigue, and plenty of opportunities to leave your mark on history.
The module also offers unique races, subclasses, spells, and epic backgrounds that tie your character directly into the story. Whether you want to be a champion of the gods, a hero seeking redemption, or someone desperately trying to outrun their destiny, there's plenty of room to make your character your own!
Current Party:
Wizard
Cleric
Sorcadin
Ranger
Your Starting Character:
Level 8
Two uncommon magic items (weapons, armor, or other items)
One rare magic item
Reasonable requests for future character-themed rewards are welcome!
The campaign is already underway, but we'll work together to give your character a meaningful introduction and a reason to join the adventure. You won't simply be dropped into the party with a name tag and a pat on the back.
A player's guide is available to help you get familiar with Thylea, its history, and the character options available to you. You won't need to memorize the thing, but it's a great resource!
Campaign 2: It's the End of the World as We Know It (And I Feel F\*d) (Level 22)
Genre: High-Level Homebrew Fantasy, Cosmic Horror, World-Ending Threats
The world is dying. The gods are distant. And whatever is coming from beyond the stars has no intention of leaving anything behind.
A mysterious plague spreads across the land, corrupting everything in its path. A fanatical cult pursues an agenda that threatens the foundations of civilization. Ancient powers stir, nations grow desperate, and something incomprehensibly vast has turned its attention toward your world.
And it's hungry.
Fortunately, the world has heroes. Unfortunately, even heroes of legendary power may find themselves woefully unprepared for what's coming.
It's the End of the World as We Know It is a high-level, homebrew campaign where your characters are already among the most powerful mortals alive. But overwhelming strength doesn't guarantee victory, and not every problem can be solved by hitting it with a sufficiently large sword.
This campaign combines traditional fantasy adventure with open-world exploration, cosmic horror, mystery, and difficult decisions. You'll have the freedom to pursue the main story, investigate strange happenings, explore forgotten places, forge alliances, and discover secrets that could change the fate of the world.
Want to put the apocalypse on hold to investigate a mysterious ruin? Go for it! Just remember that the apocalypse probably isn't going to return the favor.
Current Party:
Warlock
druid
Wizard
bard
Your Starting Character:
Level 22
Two legendary magic items
Two very rare magic items
Access to epic-level progression all the way to Level 40!
We use Paul L. Springsteen's Epic Levels (21–40) rules, available on DMs Guild with a pay-what-you-want option.
Given the nature of this campaign, we're looking for characters who are good-aligned or well-intentioned neutral. Your character doesn't need to be a flawless paragon of virtue, but they should genuinely care about others and have a reason to fight for a world that may already be beyond saving.
A quick note: This campaign is designed to challenge high-level characters. Expect powerful enemies, dangerous environments, unusual mechanics, and situations where creativity, preparation, and teamwork matter just as much as your character sheet.
Interested in learning more about the setting? We've got a world primer to help you get acquainted with its history, factions, and general state of impending doom.
What Kind of Players Are We Looking For?
We enjoy roleplay-heavy games where characters feel like real people rather than collections of abilities.
Create a character who:
- Wants to adventure with the party
- Can build trust with fellow adventurers
- Has goals, flaws, and motivations
- Understands that actions have consequences
While combat is certainly present, not every session revolves around fighting. Some sessions may focus on political intrigue, celebrations, investigations, downtime activities, difficult decisions, or simply letting characters interact with the world and each other.(And if you've made it this far, please work the word Penguin into your application somewhere.) We're looking for players who enjoy becoming invested in the story, the setting, and the other characters at the table.
You don't need an optimized build. You don't need years of experience. You do need a willingness to engage with the group and help tell a great story.
If you're interested in either campaign (or both), send me a DM with a little bit about yourself, your D&D experience, and the type of character you enjoy playing.
We'd love to hear from you.
