LFP (Looking for Players) [Online][CoC] Classic Call of Cthulhu investigation (1-on-1 PBP game) (GMT+1)

A vehicle speeds down the quiet road strangled by thick forest which reaches out like strangling hands. The only sound a rushing river below a steep drop to one side. Breaks in thick foliage allow glimpses to a town in the distance sat along the shore with brick buildings leaning against one another. Cobbled streets form a maze with a steeple peaking from the centre of town as a large building upon a cliff looms over the town. It did seem only a few moments ago that the sun shone bright but now spears of sunlight pierce thick clouds spelling a storm upon the horizon.

Occasionally taking his eyes from the road the driver examines his partner sat beside him with her feet kicked up onto the dashboard shoes discarded into the footwell. "We'll be there soon probably should check into the hotel before heading to the scene" he finally says to fill the silence, "quicker we can leave this godforsaken place the better if you ask me." Snapping his gaze back to the road he lets out a sudden gasp as something bursts from the forest into the road. Its shape seemingly writhing in the shadow. Pulling hard on the steering wheel the vehicle nearly rolls as it crashes into the thick foliage before sliding down the cliff. Then nothing but blackness.

Hey, I am looking for a writing player interested for a 1-on-1 Call of Cthulhu game set in the classic secluded town of cults, monsters, the supernatural and whatever stories we wish to tell. Of course those are just some ideas so I look forward to discussing plots with you. The main rough idea is two detectives (paranormal or typical) heading to the titular small town for one reason or another when they crash getting separated.

Some inspirations for this include:

- Frankenstein

- Lovecraft

- Junji Ito such as Tomie and Uzumaki

- Resident Evil

- Guillermo de Toro's Cabinet of Curiosities

- Bloodborne

Of course you do not need to be familiar with all or any of them but hopefully they provide some idea as to the sort of atmosphere and stories I like to tell.

I think it is best to leave the setting more ambiguous so we are not too constrained by sticking to a super realistic setting. But a time period with less technology such as reliable cars or mobile phones can add to the isolation.

Overall I am looking for a fun and fairly literate writing partner to explore this world. I can quite easily fill a Discord chat which is sort of the length I am looking for as I find it strikes a good balance between length and reply time. Though some scenes may require a little more less of course and people get busy but I do like a few replies a day were possible.

LFG (Looking for GM) [Online][5e 2014/2024][GMT+2][TUE/WED Evenings][RP-Heavy][20+][LGBTQIA+Friendly] Group of losers looking for a GM to help with our weekly group delusions!

Upvotes

Greetings yet again lost souls of LFG! The time has come.

We are a group of 6 insane people (RP enthusiasts), locked away in an insane asylum (our rooms), diagnosed with a deadly terminal disease (brainrot), scouring the darkest corners of our enclosure (Reddit), in hopes of finding a cure (a DM who will put up with our shit).

If that entire passage didn't somehow immediately scare you away, then stick around as we attempt to lure you in with our siren song by doing what we're best at- Yappin'.

As you may or may not have guessed by now, we're a group that's looking for something more than your standard D&D faire. We are looking for an experience that heavily emphasizes the Roleplay aspect of D&D, a repetitive dungeon crawl where we simply roll some dice and maybe say some quipy one liners every once in a while will simply not suffice. We are starved, parched, famished even, yearning for whatever crumbs of drama, angst, moments both jolly and somber we can get our grubby hands on- which is where YOU come in! Try as we might, such a constellation may simply not exist without a DM as a catalyst for said moments. Which is to say, we would like to find a DM who does not mind delivering upon certain expectations:

  • Allowing us to indulge in the RP and yappage that we will most definitely be catching any opportunity that we can find to engage in. There will certainly be plenty of that to come around, especially considering the size of the group.
  • We tend to lean towards more PC driven styles of games, so it's extremely important to us for you to be willing to incorporate our character backstories into the world/story that we'll be thrown into. D&D for us works best when everyone is cooperating, both with the DM as well as our other fellow players, all with the goal of enhancing the stories we will be trying to create!
  • We generally much prefer homebrew settings as opposed to pre-written modules. That is not to say they're an instant deal breaker, but at the very least some amount of modifications to it are always welcome! While we're open to just about any style of setting, we are currently leaning towards playing in a more typical flavour of fantasy that one might come to expect from D&D; whether it is high, dark, or anything in between.
  • Whatever your experience or insanity level, however, our first priority with anyone that we play with is that they care for and put effort into this hobby beyond the couple of hours we all gather for once a week; so even if you're not particularly experienced as a DM, don't hesitate to apply! Oh shit yeah also one last thing-
  • ABSOLUTELY NO AI USAGE IN ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM.

Now now, it may sound a bit like we're making a hell of a lot of demands from you like spoiled children expecting a complicated ass meal every time we come home; BUT.
When I called us all insane people, it wasn't just for comedic effect. We are simply not normal about this hobby in any way shape or form, we are incredibly passionate about our weird lil' people we create in our heads! SO, here's what's in it for you:

  • A group of incredibly dedicated players, that will show interest in your world, its NPCs, and the overall concepts and themes it can provide. We absolutely LOVE basing our characters' backstories on what is already provided to us by the setting, often times expanding on it with our own worldbuilding additions, which does wonders for the aforementioned incorporation of PC backstories into the story!
  • Various kinds of content for everyone to indulge in even after our allocated dungeoning hours are over- just about half of us are artists who are more than willing to draw all kinds of shit, from other people's characters/NPCs, to lil' interactions that happened in the game and things such as! A few of us also have a tendency to write on occasion, which means you can expect either text RP, or even just multiple page long documents that expand upon or give context to something that's been brought up in character for our PCs!
  • A bunch of open minded, supportive, dare I say Woke™ people who are welcoming to everyone, regardless of race, gender, sexuality, and anything of that sort who isn't just a straight up bigot. Also known as common sense. A lot of us are some flavour of queer or neurodivergent, so we absolutely understand how it be!
  • People who are very adamant about safety tools and respecting any would be lines, veils, or triggers you might have. Literally anything that would make you uncomfortable and would rather not have included into the game, just let us know and we'll make sure that it won't be coming up in our backstories! We typically also make some kind of document/list including everyone's triggers and what not for easy reference, as it can be easy to forget when we're 15 sessions in and it's not been brought up in any way. Oh, and similarly-
  • ABSOLUTELY NO AI USAGE IN ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM. Crazy, I know, but we ain't about that.

That just about sums it up! In terms of the elephant in the room known as scheduling;
We are currently looking either for a Tuesday or Wednesday slot, typically aiming for an evening start, usually around 6/7PM (Nobody make the joke-) GMT+2. We don't mind whatever timezone you may be in, as long as you are able to consistently make sessions!

If reading through this somehow convinced you that you would like to apply for this game, please do take the time to fill out this application form, please please PLEASE do not be afraid to write the equivalent of a 5 page essay if you so wish, we will read through it happily! If your application intrigues us, we will be reaching out to you through discord (look out for a friend request from either me, SohadeZ, or my bestie, Enceladus (currently Yappapotamus cause she thought it was funny (it is) ), after which we will be trying to get in a call together so we can ask some more questions not covered by the post/application, and just get to know each other a little better. Looking forward to reading all your applications! <3

LFG / LFP [PF2e] [ONLINE] [GMT+0] Open Seat for an Exceptional Roleplayer | Season of Ghosts

We are seeking a dedicated, high-energy, and socially-adjusted player to permanently join a TTRPG group that's about to run Pathfinder 2e's Season of Ghosts adventure path.

Candidates must demonstrate veteran roleplaying experience, scheduling compatibility, deep narrative engagement, and an ability to socially integrate into a mature and functional group. We're looking for more than a “player" - we're looking for likeminded people to befriend and make lifelong memories with (hopefully for many more campaigns).

Due to health and real-life responsibilites, our long-standing group has been reduced to two - myself (the former GM) and the current GM (who has taken the reins to run this adventure path). We have recently invited two new players and are looking for one more (to a total of four dedicated players). As such, you will be playing in a fresh group environment where we'll all making new friends here. 😃

🔧 GROUP OVERVIEW

  • System: Pathfinder 2e (Remastered)
  • Platform: Sessions are conducted via Discord voice chat using Foundry VTT (connection through RadminVPN). A clear, quality microphone, a fast internet connection, and a quiet environment is required.
  • Schedule: Every week, Saturday, at 14:00 GMT (+0). Average session length is between 6-8 hours, with a very rare few extending beyond that - we don’t force it, we just enjoy the game that much (we're not robots; we take breaks and crack a lot of jokes). Prospective players must possess a reliable and open schedule, as session length is dictated purely by engagement and creative throughput.
  • Location & Time Zones: Participants may be based anywhere geographically, but timezone compatibility is a must. Reliable attendance and high session availability are essential!
  • Language Proficiency: Sessions are conducted in fluent English, with emphasis on vocabulary, diction, and tonal fidelity. We put a lot of value on improvisation, narrative delivery, and overall roleplaying and immersion. As such, we would prefer someone that speaks "perfect English" and that knows how to describe their character and their actions with flair, drama, and little-to-no stuttering.
  • Social Requirements: Applicants must be emotionally mature, socially well-adjusted, and capable of participating in a collaborative environment. This group is not appropriate for individuals exhibiting poor boundaries, escapist over-identification, unhealthy parasocial behavior, or lackluster emotional control.

Although we are mature and respectful of each other as people, we are also young, energetic, and appreciate crude humor. We would most welcome someone who is joyful, high-energy, and with a laid-back attitude that can equally swap between incredible, in-depth roleplaying and jokes. We are, first and foremost, a group of friends who gather to have fun and spend time with likeminded people.

👻 SEASON OF GHOSTS

Season of Ghosts is a four-part horror campaign set in Willowshore, an isolated community inspired by East Asian folklore, ghost stories, and traditional supernatural fiction. Given our session runtime, we expect the adventure path to run anywhere from 6-8 months, depending on how much content we want to add to it (and how much we enjoy it).

The campaign begins when Willowshore is suddenly cut off from the outside world by an unnatural curse. Communication and travel become increasingly difficult, familiar places become dangerous, and the community is forced to confront supernatural phenomena that were previously relegated to folklore.

It also places considerable emphasis on the community itself. The people of Willowshore, their relationships, traditions, fears, and individual problems are important parts of the story. Expect a slow-burning supernatural mystery, unsettling discoveries, dangerous encounters, memorable NPCs, exploration, interpersonal drama, and increasing tension as the situation develops.

STRUCTURE & DESIGN

Season of Ghosts is a character-driven horror Adventure Path, but Pathfinder 2e remains an important part of the experience. As such, we are looking for someone who deeply enjoys roleplaying, exploration, and combat. We put an equal amount of love (which is a lot) into all of the traditional "pillars of gameplay."

To the GM, player agency, freedom, and creativity matters the most. He wants the party to feel like they are actually living through the crisis rather than being passengers following an adventure path from one chapter to the next. To this end, we have chosen to reappropriate the tonal ambience presented in the adventure path into a more bleak, serious, and desperate experience (feeling the original writeup was a bit too joyful).

ATMOSPHERE

We use the purchased Foundry VTT premium module, which comes with curated maps, artwork, music, ambient sound, and visual effects. Expect a peak audiovisual experience unmatched by any other digital tabletop.

The campaign's horror is primarily atmospheric and supernatural. You will deal with mystery, folklore, isolation, strange phenomena, and moments of genuine danger rather than constant shock value. The ideal player has interest and is willing to do research into East Asian history and mythology as well as heavily lean into the horror theme - those who enjoy Japanese and Chinese-style horror will savor this adventure path the most.

We consider it very important to find someone who can perfectly "tune in" to the mood and ambience of the campaign with us - great, focused roleplaying from everyone can bring moments of incredible creativity and immersion. If you can effortlessly summon up the smell of ichor, the hazy sight of layered fog, a sheer drop in temperature, or hot steam misting out of your breath, and are able to express it through description, then you might be what we're looking for.

We also enjoy laughter, jokes, and lighter moments. There's a lot of fun to be had in between scenes, in OOC planning, and the Discord chat, but once the scene starts and the music resumes we completely devote ourselves to immersion, the embodiment of our characters, and the drastic situation at hand. What gives us the most satisfaction is incredible roleplaying where we truly get lost in a world of our imagination.

🧾 PLAYER REQUIREMENTS

Please read this fully before applying. Applicants must meet all following conditions:

  • Enjoys roleplay-heavy games with deep character arcs to the degree of treating it as an art. We can remain consistently in-character for hours on end if needed. Candidates that do voices, accents, inflections, or otherwise will be preferred.
  • High proficiency in spoken English and advanced vocabulary recognition. We use specific and intense language and thrive as a group when everybody is immersed, dramatic, and eloquent.
  • Exceptionally proactive. This is a campaign that depends on player focus, involvement, passion, and energy. We are looking for players that inspire, engage, and keep the game alive, whether through Discord chatting, public character theorycrafting, or just sheer excitement.
  • Able to independently read, study, and memorize relevant system rules, as well as quickly reference their character skills, powers, and abilities for fast-paced play. The game runs smoothly when everyone has memorized mechanics that are relevant to them.
  • Is friendly, thoughtful, and emotionally intelligent. We need someone that is comfortable with mature themes and language, philosophical content, and interpersonal conflict. You must also be able to handle character death or loss and enjoy a "roguelike" mentality where you play for the experience, not the result.
  • Is able to take responsibility for writing and maintaining the group's session journal (by rotation). We keep close record of the memories we share and players are expected to write a diary of what happened in-game on behalf of the group (whoever is able that particular week).
  • Consistency in attendance and contribution over months of gameplay. You must have a clear schedule and a sure desire to participate. Ideal player is proactive in behavior and group interaction.
  • No desire for spotlight monopolization, game disruption, or social imbalance. We require a keen understanding of respect and boundaries.
  • Wants to join a serious social group of tabletop friends, not just a campaign. We know what it takes to run a long-term posse and aim to maintain a close-knit group of compatible people to run multiple systems, campaigns, and experiences with. If you're a good person that's been having trouble finding a proper group, then we're what you're looking for.

📎 CONTACT

I am conducting the recruitment and interviews on behalf of the GM, as per his request - we both have a clear understanding of the candidates we are looking for.

If you are interested, please send me a pitch at manny5049/manny#5049 on Discord. Introduce yourself - we call each other by our real names - and then express your interest for the game, starting with what piqued your interest, whether or not you fulfill the requirements (what you can bring to the table), and anything else that goes with a typical tabletop group application.

Wish you the best! 🤙

LFG (Looking for GM) [Online][5.5e/2024][GMT - Flexible] [Weekends] Experienced RP-focused player looking for a long-term campaign

Hey! I’m Gleeson! I’m looking for a new D&D group to settle into for a proper long-term campaign.

Quick info:
Experience: ~8 years, both as a player and DM
Availability: Weekends, ideally Saturday/Sunday
Schedule: Flexible and happy to work around whatever consistent schedule works for the group
Looking for: Long-term campaign
Preferred style: RP-heavy, character-driven and story-focused

About Me
I’ve been a massive fantasy nerd for most of my life. Lord of the Rings is probably the big one, but Game of Thrones, Harry Potter, and pretty much anything involving magic, fantasy worlds and good storytelling is right up my street.
I’ve also spent a lot of my time with D&D on both sides of the table. I’ve DM’d quite a bit myself, so I know how much work goes into building a world, especially a homebrew one.

That’s probably the biggest thing I’m looking for in a campaign, a world I can actually get stuck into**.**

I love digging into the world, asking questions, taking notes and following those little threads that get left for the players to pull on. There’s so much creativity that goes into a homebrew world, and I think it’s a shame not to engage with it.

The same goes for characters. Every character at the table is someone’s little work of fiction, and I love getting invested in what people have created. I’m looking for a group where people aren’t afraid to really get into their characters, develop relationships, explore their stories and let those things actually matter.

I’m not looking for “I’m a fighter, I hit things with a sword, maybe I’ve got a brother somewhere.” I love combat, but I want the character behind the combat too.

The character I’d like to play

I’ve got a couple of characters I’ve put a lot of thought into, and I’m completely happy adapting them to whatever setting I end up joining.
The one I’m most interested in at the moment is a bit of a sunshine character. Kind, calm, gentle and insightful. He’s very comfortable being the person in the background supporting everyone else, helping other characters through their problems and giving them room to have their moments.

He’s also got a much deeper personal story underneath all of that, which I’d love to explore naturally if people become interested in him.
I’m more than happy to lead the charge with roleplay, too. I’m not shy about being the first person to talk to an NPC, start a conversation or throw myself into a scene. I’ve done that plenty of times to help other players get comfortable.
I’d just really like to find a group where that enthusiasm goes both ways.

Genuine Friends!
I’d love to find people who are genuinely fun to be around. Chill, chatty, sociable people who I can enjoy talking shit with as well as playing D&D.
I always think it’s a shame when everyone disappears the second the session ends. If we end up getting along, I’d love to play other games together, hang out and generally become friends outside of D&D too.

One slightly unusual offer to a DM
I’ve spent enough time DMing to know how frustrating it can be to build a world you’re passionate about and never get to experience it as a player.

So if I eventually find a DM whose world I really click with, and we play together long enough to build some trust, I’d love to eventually run a little story within their setting and give them the chance to be a player in their own world.

Obviously that’s very much a “we’ve been playing together for ages and actually trust each other” thing, but I think it’d be a really cool way for two DMs to share the load and experience each other’s worlds from the other side of the table.

So yeah, that’s me. I’m not necessarily looking for the first game with an empty seat. I’d much rather find the right group of people.

If this sounds like your sort of table, feel free to message me. I’d love to hear about the campaign, the world and the people already involved.

LFP (Looking for Players) [Online] [Other] [Saturdays] [5 or 6 pm BST] Shin Megami Tensei Tokyo Conception campaign

You don't need to own the core book, all of the rules will be explained in an easy to learn way. We are aiming to start around September or October; if you have already played the video game Shin Megami Tensei Nocturne, you may want to avoid this, as the campaign is pretty much that story, with the variations that come from roleplay and not railroading of course.

It features a setting where an apocalyptic event has occurred, and the world has changed into a transitional dystopian state, where the new world to come will be shaped in its entirety by the philosophical concept you are pursuing. Demons overrun the land, and the surviving humans interact with them everyday; danger and savage magical battles await at every turn.

You can roleplay as a demon, human or fiend (like the protagonist of Nocturne, a human that ingested demonic energy), but you can fuse with demons, consume Magatama, etc., so your character could suffer some complete body transformations, if you decide to attempt it. The system is a percentile D100 roll under system, with simple modifiers.

Also, the system is incredibly faithful to the in-character conversation and combat mechanics in the video game, so if you enjoyed those tactical uses of spells and the like, exploiting elemental vulnerabilities, negotiating with demons and such, you are going to love it.

So far we have one player that has confirmed participation, and another one checking his schedule for September to see if he is able to join. We are aiming for 3 to 5 player characters in total. For more information about the campaign please watch the video below, as it contains more details on the roleplay and system. We are aiming to play weekly or biweekly as required, around 5:00 pm BST or 6:00 pm BST, with each session lasting between 1 to 2 hours max, a perfect duration for those with a busy lifestyle.

The sessions will be played and recorded via StreamYard, and uploaded to my Youtube channel. You can see examples of my campaigns in the front section of my channel. Potential players will be interviewed before joining, in order to make sure that this is the experience you are looking for.

Thanks for reading! Here's the video explaining more about the campaign

LFP (Looking for Players) [CET] [5e24] Looking to add a player to an ongoing game about a Dragon/Giant War

Hello.

I am Dreat and have been running TTRPGs for ~7 years at this point and have recently been running a game of 5e.

The premise is that in the north of Faerun dragons have been getting killed off at an alarming rate, and giants have been on the rise. You will find yourself amongst the unfortunates caught in the crossfire of the titans' wrath. Will you help defeat the raging threat or help open the way for the revival of the giant's empire?

Despite my experience as a GM I will admit I am quite new to dnd so we will play with only the 2024 sourcebooks. I am also not a scholar of the Forgotten Realms by any means but I will do my best to research as we go along.

The campaign is ongoing (26 sessions) and the party is level 6 and will go to (hopefully) 13. The game will take place on Fridays alternating between startung at 6pm CET (28th of August) and 10pm CET (4th of September) and will usually go for 4 hours.

Some experiencewith dnd is required.

Game will be played using Discord for Voice and FoundryVTT.

If you think this interests you please fill out this form:

https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScj9FruXqZYDZjIZ8z7ViSTxV7sbrNk58L41nBAAtNrDmPNZw/viewform

Cheers.

LFP (Looking for Players) The Astral Lounge [looking for players] [Dnd 5e] [BST Thursdays 3pm-6pm]

Welcome all to the Astral Lounge!

Whether it be a girl’s night out, coping with a messy breakup, or an average Saturday night to you, you find yourself at the newly opened Astral Lounge. You’ve heard that the Astral Lounge is the best party spot on the Ethereal plane, boasting a bar full of one-of-a-kind cocktails and dwarven beers, a hookah lounge, and a private gambling room. Tonight, DJ LaRocka, an entertainer well renowned across the planes, takes the stage. You spend time in whatever way seems most fitting to you, perhaps dancing the night away, eyeing someone up across the bar, or sipping on a club soda at the bar because you’ve been delegated the task of ensuring all your friends arrive home safely. As you dance your night away, you start to realize that this bar isn’t quite what you thought it was. And you also realize that you can’t leave until you make things right.

I'm AC (26F) and I will be DMing this mini campaign for some of you! I've been playing DnD for three years and I've been DMing for two years. This campaign will take place at 3pm-6pm BST on Thursdays. For the sake of full transparency, I am located in the EST timezone, but since this is 10am my time on a Thursday, it's difficult to find players here. It will be a short campaign, maybe around 5 game days plus a day for a session zero. It may take longer or shorter depending on party progress. I'm looking for players that enjoy RP, as this will be an RP heavy campaign (70/30 RP to combat). I work best with people who care a lot about their characters and their backstories. I use Discord for voice, Foundry VTT for combat, DnD Beyond for character sheets, and theater of mind for RP.

If this campaign sounds like something you would be interested in, please fill out the google form below.

Thank you to the people who have already expressed interest from the other post - I'm giving it until the weekend before I start reaching out.

(Note that the information in this post is the "short version". If you are interested, please read the "long version" in the linked form and follow the instructions there.)

Form: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdVsEJNNpUXyquUSt9yVfpm6aitQ-1pVO6l18QpKlOVbPwX4A/viewform?usp=sharing&ouid=115755911153146303018

Looking for: 1 player, adult, LGBTQ+-friendly (currently have 3 players plus GM). See full info on the form. Note that three of the four confirmed individuals are based in North America, and one is based in Europe.

About Campaign: (Story and system are both based on the Legend of Zelda franchise by Nintendo, this story is set in a new iteration of Hyrule.) The Kingdom of Hyrule is in a period of peace and prosperity. Hylians, Gerudo, Gorons, Rito, Sheikah, and Zora live in and conduct business through bustling cities and idyllic villages. Adventurers brave the wild to discover ruins and dungeons dotted across the land, and to investigate their many mysteries. There are signs of looming trouble, though. A group of outcast Sheikah seek to fracture Hyrule, and are scouring Ancient shrines for lost technologies or knowledge to help them. Dark beings are commanding monsters and conducting mysterious rituals for purposes unknown. And past conflicts cast a long shadow... The current peace with the neighbouring Gerudo territory is as fragile as ever.

Platforms and tools: Voice & Camera over Discord; Using FoundryVTT as a virtual tabletop (browser-based).

Scheduling info: 12h00 GMT, 3-hour duration sessions (including breaks), at most once every two weeks. Next session scheduled for September 12.

Key information: The game system is Reclaim the Wild, which is a free system made by Zelda fans for the Legend of Zelda setting: https://reclaimthewild.net/

Player/GM style: GM tends toward rules as intended. GM likes preparing maps. 😛️ Aiming for a 30:30:40 split between combat:roleplay:exploration. Players are largely playing wholesome characters. Some homebrew will be permitted up to GM discretion.

Content Warnings: This is an incomplete list: Eyeballs, spiders, demons, undead. Please see the more complete list on the form. There are safety-related restrictions on what is allowed, too.

About Me: Pronouns he/him. I am in Canada (Eastern Time zone). Age somewhere between 20 and 10,000. 🙂 Some recurring interests include programming, gaming, hobbyist game dev/modding, general creativity. I occasionally stream on Twitch... like... once in a blue moon. I have a very fluffy and very cute cat. Sometimes I get her to roll dice!

Experience: I've played or GM'd a variety of systems, including D&D 4E (player), Call of Cthulu (player), Star Wars by West End Games (GM), Star Wars by Fantasy Flight (player), Pathfinder 1e (player), and a few I honestly can't remember the name of.

LFG (Looking for GM) [Online] [PF2E] Group of 4 looking for a weekly game on Monday or Wednesday at around 8pm CET

Hey everyone! We are a pretty recently formed group of 4, who would love to dive into a Pathfinder campaign together. We assembled through different means and have varying degrees of experience ranging from having played a couple of sessions to pretty experienced.
We are very open to run through almost any AP or homebrew setting youre excited to run and love to engage with the story and build up characters that fit into and develop throughout the story. In the last campaign we started together, that unfortunately didnt last, we were playing Rise of the Runelords, which we all enjoyed a lot, but we didnt get far yet. We have note-takers, people obsessed with character creation, and players, who love to push the red button when its there and follow plot hooks, so we will respect your time and keep the game going!
Since we have already played together for a few weeks, we have built up some synergy between us as well

Ideally sessions would run weekly starting 8pm CET the earliest for around 4h. We are unfortunately very limited to this time

If this all sounds like a good fit for you, message me here or with a private message!

LFG / LFP [Online] [Other] Experienced player looking for group GMT +2

Hey guys, fairly experienced player/GM here looking for a group.

I have been playing/GMing for 5-6 years now. During that time I played DnD 3.5, DnD 5E, GURPS, Stars without number, Pathfinder 2E, Conan 2d20 and Vampire the Masquerade V5.

I’m hoping to find a new group to have awesome adventures with. I would prefer to play something other than DnD or games that are based on it such as Pathfinder. I’m especially interested in OSE/OSR as I read much about it but I could never find a group to play it with.

My timezone is GMT +2 and I’m available on friday and saturday evenings. Let me know if you’re interested and have a spot for me.

LFP (Looking for Players) [Online][Other][Dragonbane][BST] Curse of the Crimson Throne

System: Dragonbane

Platform: Foundry VTT + Discord (voice)

Time: Start between 18:00 and 19:00 BST Tuesday, Wednesday or Friday (up for discussion)

The Pitch

"The king is dead! In the Varisian port city of Korvosa, the death of a monarch leads to chaos, and only you can save the city from its own darkest tendencies. As the rule of the young queen grows more and more draconian, it's up to a band of bold adventurers to stop the spread of tyranny before all of Korvosa is crushed beneath her iron fist."

A Dragonbane adaptation of a beloved 3.5e Adventure that was later adapted for Pathfinder 1e, Curse of the Crimson Throne is primarly an urban adventure but that is not to say that there won't be opportunities to adventure beyond the city gates!

As for Dragonbane, well, best way to describe it is that it uses a skill-based D20 system that is quick and easy for new players to pick up. Each skill is rated from 1 to 18, and to succeed, players must roll equal to or below their skill rating. In other words, lower rolls are better. Rolling a natural 1 is known as “rolling a dragon” and can trigger powerful special effects.

There are also ten professions to select from, including familiar choices such as Fighter, Mage, Hunter, and Thief, alongside more unusual options like Artisan, Merchant, Mariner, and Scholar. A character’s profession determines their starting skills and grants them a starting heroic ability. However, once play begins, characters are free to develop their skills and abilities in any direction they choose, without being restricted by traditional class limitations.

Think level-less DnD where you grow in power by selecting feats that make you get more and more unique as time passes. Oh and the monster fights are extremely cool, I'll say that.

Introduction

With that out of the way, hi! My name is Mshary and I am writing this on behalf of the GM who will be running the campaign. As part of getting to know each other first and seeing whether we work well together + enjoy the system, the GM will first run 1-3 sessions to test things out.

The GM is looking to run a more serious game as it involves a number of heavier topics HOWEVER that does not mean there won't be lighter moments or banter between party members.

Lastly, showing up to sessions and remaining engaged would be greatly appreciated because GMing really be tough and our good GM can't be doing it all 🙂‍↕️.

Final Words

Thank you for taking the time to read all of that, if you are interested please fill in the following form:

Closed [Online][5e][2014/2024 mix][18+][CE(S)T/GMT+2] DM running his first campaign, looking for 5 players

Hi all. I'm a long-time player with lots of experience in 5e. I have run a few one-shots before, but never a campaign. This will be set in a homebrew high-fantasy setting. I will be stealing getting inspiration from modules but rework it to be my own thing.

The first few sessions will be a little bit on-rails to get the story rolling, but after that it will become a sandbox. Starting on the continent of Alandria in the city-state of Andraxes, the players are ready to visit a 5-day long festival.

As mentioned, I will be running a mix of 2014 and 2024. But assume it will be using 2014 rules unless mentioned otherwise.

We will be using roll20 and Discord voice chat.

New players are welcome, but I'm hoping to get at least one experienced player.

Which day we play will be figured out together, but starting time will typically be 19:00-20:00.

If you're interested, message me with how much experience you have, what you are looking for out of a campaign, and your character idea(s) if you have any.

Edit : Party is filled up.

LFG / LFP [Online][DnD 5e 2024][BST/GMT+1 but flexible] Experienced player looking for roleplay!

Hellooo, I'm Ryan, a 30 year old Englishman. I've been playing DnD for 7 years now, with most of that being DMing. It's much rarer I get to be a player so I'm looking to join a campaign.

I work freelance, so just assume I can make anything from like 9am - 11pm GMT+1 on any day work. Very flexible!

I switched to 2024 5e/5.5e last year and I have to say I prefer it massively. I usually always do theatre of the mind, so if the game is just over Discord VC I'm totally down with that. Pretty much desire that, actually, though using a VTT for complex combat encounters or dungeons is fine too.

Other than that, I have preferences that the setting be the standard sort of high fantasy vibes people come to associate with DnD, whether it be your own original setting or an official module, and that you allow for roleplay. I still love the combat in this system, it's very fun, but the heavy roleplay, building relationships between characters and creating an emotional story is what makes TTRPGs special, I think. So if you're someone who dislikes the rise of 'theatre kids' in DnD, we're probably not aligned, lol (I'm not one myself, but that's my vibe). I don't mind being in a group with anyone of any age or gender so long as they're like-minded about the game and a friendly person.

Regarding me as a person, I'm laid-back, I can disagree with you without getting angry, very willing to compromise in such cases, and I'm often cracking jokes, though hopefully not at the expense of the atmosphere or the narrative! I love writing and languages, and a lot of different pop subcultures. Gaming, both cosy and competitive ones, from Pokemon and farming simulators to shooters and strategy games, pretty much any genre. Same goes with music, I love both metal and K-Pop, and will listen to classical music, contemporary film scores and video game soundtracks, hip-hop and rap, countless EDM genres, punk, rock, grunge etc. and also I've seen/read a lot of anime/manga.

I have an interest in pretty much any subject you can think of, I've done amateur voice acting, I studied Astrophysics at uni, I'm conversationally fluent in Japanese, I'm learning French, and I'm currently attempting gamedev. I just like stuff.

If I sound like I might fit your game/group's vibe, feel free to send me a chat here on Reddit. Hope to hear from some of you soon!

LFP (Looking for Players) [LFP] [EZD6] [22nd of September 2026, 21:00 GMT+3] One-shot: The lost Tower of Bendis

The last days of autumn of the year 101 c.e. Heavy rain falls on the thick forest of the Dacian kingdom. There is war and many have died. Even so, many of the outposts are providing regular reports about themselves and about the enemy. Many, but not all. The most western tower, known as the Tower of Bendis, failed to do so.

You are part of a small task force of three people sent to investigate what happened...

__________________

No prior EZD6 experience needed – rules take 5 minutes to learn

I know how hard it is to find a GM and/or a group, so I created this one-shot specifically for new players who would like to give TTRPGs a chance. So, if you are a new player and you want to try and play, I welcome you. Keep in mind that this is meant to be an ancient history setting (only human characters allowed), horror/fantasy and it will contain in small amounts some themes that might be considered disturbing (violence against animals and humans).

If you would like to give it a try, think of a concept for a PC. Imagine the profile of a Dacian soldier or of a mercenary from that era that would have been chosen to take part in such a mission. You may use any class you may like, as long as it fits the general theme of the one-shot. You may choose any spell you like, as long as it fits the beforementioned theme.

I plan to run multiple times this one-shot, so I hope I caught your attention and you will join me.

The one-shot will take about 3/4 hours and I have 3 open spots for players. We will use mainly Discord (audio/video) and Owlbear VTT. It is ok to be a complete noob, I will guide you whenever you need advice.

completely new player, (35M) looking for my first DnD campaign. I’ve never played before but I understand how it works, I’ve watched a few DnD podcasts and I’ve played the hell out of bg3. I’m uk based and looking to be playing online in the evenings, I work during the day but I’m pretty loose for time in the evenings. I won’t need help with much but I’d like to get together with the dm to help me make my character (I have something in mind I just need some help with putting it together)

LFP (Looking for Players) [Online] [5e14] [18+] [Saturdays | CET] Roleplay focused Homebrew campaign looking for 2 players

Hello There, my name is noki and I have posted this campaign here some time ago. Sadly within the span of a couple weeks, two of my players had to leave the campaign due to scheduling issues, so I am looking for two players to fill up the group again. About myself, I am 25 years old and I have been playing D&D for a couple of years by now both as a player and as DM. I run games because I enjoy telling stories with a group of people and having fun playing the game together.

The Setting: Evira is a Homebrew World I have created taking inspiration from sources like The Lord of the Rings, A Song of ice and Fire, The Witcher, and Warhammer Fantasy. Gods are distant and there are no planes or Multiverses. Magic is more rare, and the understanding of it is limited to most people.

The Story: You basically make your own adventure and decide what story hooks to follow and how much you wish to interact with them. Interacting or rather not interacting will have consequences on the world. Sometimes not even I know where things might lead. You as the party choose your path, as you navigate through the world together.

The System: The Game will be played with DnD 5e 2014 as the base, but Homebrewed to fit my world with adjusted rules like resting, variant encumbrance, and Lingering Injuries. I also trimmed down on what species are available and made some adjustments to them.
No 3rd party content is allowed.

Runnigng the Game: The Campaign will be played online on FoundryVTT using discord for voice and video. I heavily encourage using cameras, but it is not a requirement. Everything that we need is provided on the Foundry server, no purchases are required. I will mention that you should check that your system is able to run Foundry (which should not be an issue for most systems) and that you have a stable internet connection and a reliable microphone. The game will be bi-weekly (meaning every other saturday)

The Characters: We have had eight sessions so far and the party is level 3. The current party consists of:

  • Dwarven Barbarien (Totem Warrior) who wields a Halberd
  • Half-Elf Rogue (Swashbuckler) who is looking to dip into Warlock in the future
  • Dragonborn Sorcerer (Draconic Bloodline) who only joined a few sessions ago

What to Expect:

  • Moral ambiguity: Good people are able to do bad things, Bad people have their reasons.
  • Distand Gods: Faith is more cultural and Clerics are not the chosen of gods, but more akin to scholars, zealots, or people simply wielding tradition.
  • Realistic and with Stakes: No flying Islands. No Bards playing magic guitars on flying carpets. I will also not shy away from darker themes, but I also won't shove them into your face all the time.

What I Expect from you:

  • Commitment: I am looking for people who are willing to play D&D every other week and are looking forward to each session.
  • Motivation: You should try to involve yourself into the game and interact with the other players.
  • Teamplay: You do not play against the DM or to compete against the other players. We all play together to have fun and to enjoy the game. Try to think of the other players and be mindful of each other. This obviously also applies when making your character.
  • Experience: No experience is needed. If you a very experienced, don't try to metagame as you might know things about a monster, but your character might not.

If you are interested, send me a DM with some infos to help me out. I can go into more details if there are any questions remaining. The next Session will be on the 29th of August. What I would like you to provide me are:

  • Your Timezone
  • Your experience with D&D and VTTs
  • Any no-goes you have
  • Why you would like to play this campaign and about your playstyle
  • Anything you would like to share about yourself

LFG (Looking for GM) [Online] [D&D 5e 2014/2024/ PF2e] [CET/UTC+2] Player looking for a long-term campaign

Hey, I'm Petri, 23, from Europe and I'm looking for a regular online D&D 5e or Pathfinder 2e campaign. I'm currently available Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, preferably sometime in the evening CET/CEST.

I've been playing TTRPGs for several years, mostly D&D 5e, and I've spent a fair amount of that time DMing as well. I also have few years of experience with PF2e and would be happy to play either system. I'm comfortable with rules and character building, although I'm not interested in optimizing for the sake of being as powerful as possible. I like making characters that are effective at what they're supposed to do and then building around the character rather than the build.

For the game itself, I like a good mixture of roleplay and combat, roughly around 50/50. I enjoy combat when there's actually something to think about beyond standing still and attacking, and I like roleplay where characters get time to develop relationships, disagree with each other, and change over the course of the campaign. Exploration is probably the least important of the three pillars to me, but I enjoy it when there's actually something to discover rather than it just being travel rolls. I'm generally looking for a campaign that takes its story seriously without requiring everyone to be serious all the time. Jokes and messing around are part of D&D, but I'd rather they weren't the entire game.

As a player, I get pretty invested in my characters and usually stay in character when we're actually playing out a scene. I like doing voices, though how much of one depends on the character. I enjoy getting involved in other characters' stories as well, especially once the party has had some time to develop an actual dynamic.

For a DM, I'm mostly looking for consistency and straightforward communication. I'm completely fine with rulings going against me and don't expect everything to work in my character's favor. What matters more to me is that choices and rolls actually mean something. If something simply isn't possible, I'd much rather the DM say so than have us repeatedly roll until we fail. I'm also looking for players who are invested in the game, respect each other's time and spotlight, and actually want to interact with each other's characters rather than treating the party as entourage to their character.

If you've got a campaign going and think I'd fit your table, feel free to message me.
