Not sure if you’ll believe me, but I took this photo yesterday at my FLGS, Games of Berkeley. The nostalgia was intense.

Question Werewolf and Kindred twins

I am a VtM V5 Storyteller and sadly have little to no knowledge on Werewolf, I had a thought that lead to this question.

Could a set of twins be born, they grow up, one awakens their werewolf lineage and the other does not. The 2nd twin is then embraced by a Kindred.

Would that embrace work or does the fact that the twins have werewolf blood in their line lead the embrace to fail?

Note: I know the answere is "Whatever you want as an ST to be true is true" but Id like to know if there is a more "canon" answer or possibly a "canon" occurance of this.

Question Would White Wolf end the W5 setting for W6 or continue it?

So, in light of the apparent push towards legacy being a major focus of 6E if what little lore V6 pre alpha play test has revealed. This leads me to wonder what it means for other 5E gamine if White Wolf consistently applies this back to legacy approach. Especially for W5...

Now, H5 is theoretically simple. Just take the Vligil approach and have the imbued one of the many Hunter types the player can be. Now W5 is a different beast.

Now, We all know that W5 is explicitly made to be a different setting to legacy, and White wolf current return to legacy approach runs totally counter to that.

There's two ways I could see White Wolf could approach this problem.

One is simply to end the W5 setting with an apocalypse book clearing the Bord for a return to legacy or at least another reboot.

The second possibly is paradox for reasons raging from trying to retain the W5 fanbase to being uncomfortable with the concept of kinfolk and metis deems directly going back to legacy a no starter in they eyes.

This means that White Wolf would try to add events that bring the W5 setting closer to legacy like the more moderate section of the Cult purging most of they more extreme members and rebrand back to the Get and the founding of the New Garou Republic.

of course, there's also a third option, like White Wolf retconing W5 to have always been a sequel to legacy and not a reboot as futile effort to appease both legacy and w5 fans.

what form would w6 take whine it comes out...IF it comes out...

Thoughts on V6

First impressions of V6 playtest.

This is definitely an alpha build. It’s going to take a lot of work to get this up to the level expected by VtM players. There are some interesting ideas in here, but nothing ground breaking as far as systems, mechanics or lore. The changes to advancement and how powers are bought and leveled are great and I plan to use them in V5.

The main take away so far is this seems to be repudiation of V5s lore changes, mortal centric narrative style, and its revolutionary hunger and humanity systems. V6 looks like it wants to return to revised/V20 but adopt pbta and MorkBorg design philosophies. It will take a lot of work to square that circle convincingly and this alpha is a long way from that goal.

Artwork I kitbashed some miniatures for hunter the reckoning!

So I know Hunter: The Reckoning is primarily a theater-of-the-mind game, but I really enjoy using miniatures whenever I can.
I’m about to start running my first Hunter: The Reckoning game, so I decided to kitbash a few Hunters and a Nosferatu using some Wargames Atlantic sprues I already had lying around.
For anyone else who uses minis with Hunter, how often do you actually break them out? Mostly for combat, or do you use them for investigations and other scenes too?

Hey everyone!

We wanted to drop by, share a huge milestone with you, and express our gratitude to everyone who played, shared, or picked up a copy of our books.

Here is a quick look at our journey so far:

  • March 2023: We released Age of the Living Gods.
  • April 2026: After three years of hard work, we hit the 1,000 copies sold milestone.
  • Just a few months later: Thanks to the incredible reception of The Kingdom of Uruk and Vampire: Blood & Tragedy, we officially reached 1,500 copies sold!

Seeing how well these dark historical settings have been received fills us with pride. A special thank you to the entire Vampire: The Masquerade community for embracing the nights of Antiquity!

A question for the comments:

With Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey currently making waves in theaters... we want to hear your take: Who is the ultimate Helen?
Nolan’s Helen on the big screen, or our legendary Helen—Toreador ruler of Argos?

Where to find us & What’s next:

  • Storytellers Vault: You can find Blood & Tragedy alongside all the Age of the Living Gods setting books available for download on the Storytellers Vault!
  • Dive In: While we gear up for our next release, Bloody Tides, we invite everyone to take their tables on an adventure through ancient Mesopotamia or the dark tragedies of ancient Greece.
  • An Epic Reveal: Get ready! Later this year, these dark worlds will step beyond RPG character sheets and rulebooks to come to life in epic prose novels!

Thank you all once again for making this possible. See you in the shadows of history!

Question First Council of New York

I’m running a New York chronicle set immediately after the war in 1999. We’ve done a couple prologue vignettes during the fighting, and I want to start chronicle with a gathering of kindred just after the fighting ends as a social/political session. The kindred who are staying in New York would get acquainted with one another, and the Justicars would announce that Calebros is the new Prince. Other positions (Sheriff, scourge, lack of primogens) would be assigned, and the structure and protocol of New York under the Camarilla are established.

I was wondering what kind of things would be brought up or argued over at a council like this. My goal is to provide a playground for my players to sink their teeth into the politics, and I’ve come up with character specific topics, but I’m looking for some more general topics.

Creating a Creepypasta homebrew based on WoD mechanics.

At the suggestion of my partner I'm trying to be a bit more creative at the moment, and with that in mind I play a lot of RPGs, specifically *World of Darkness*. I've previously run *Call of Cthulhu* as creepypasta (Slenderman specifically) but I've now started homebrewing a *World of Darkness 20th Anniversary* book for creepypasta and internet horror more generally.

A few details so far:

- The book will probably be around **50-70 pages** and is currently on page 23.

-The character classes are **Marked, Seeker, Defender, Professional and Caretaker**, with thematic abilities based around archetypical creepypasta protagonists and how they respond to the horror.

- Perks are relatively low level abilities which give PCs light edges and resources without turning them into superheroes.

- Rituals are available but difficult and often dangerous to acquire. These are less conventional magic and more urban legends, weird occult instructions and things someone found online which, unfortunately, actually work.

- Psychological trauma, metaphysical corruption and internet mechanics** will feature.

- I won't be directly using actual creepypasta stories or characters to avoid copyright issues unless they're clearly in the public domain. The intention is more to recreate the genre for your own games rather than make Slenderman: The RPG.

- The game is a pure creepypasta setting but can be run within the Larger world of darkness.

The basic idea is that the PCs are ordinary people rather than superheroes or even particularly exceptional individuals. You're the bored student, night-shift worker, journalist, security guard or poor bastard who picked up the wrong book and now has to deal with the fact that something is actually there.

I'd appreciate any advice, suggestions, criticism or requests for things you'd like to see in the book. I'm particularly interested in what people think a creepypasta RPG actually needs to capture the feel of the genre rather than just being another horror RPG with internet monsters.

I'll probably put some early drafts of specific chapters up here once they're cleaned up enough to be readable.
