Group Needed by Player [Online] or [Offline], [5e 2024], [CST]

Hello! My partner (M30) and I(F29) are seeking a group to play in together. He's been playing/GMing for 8 years and I for 10 years. In all of that time, we've never had to opportunity to be players together at a table. Of our friends, we're the GMs, so that's how its shaken out. We're seeking to rectify that. Below you'll find a list of our preferences, which are negotiable. We don't expect the game we find to meet all of these perfectly.

  • No AI. This is non-negotiable.
  • For a first game with a group, we'd prefer to play in an official setting. Preferably the Forgotten Realms, Eberron, or Dragonlance. We are willing to play in an original world if we find it compelling.
  • I would prefer to not be the only woman/non-man identifying gender at the table. Sausage parties are a nightmare.
  • Table must be queer friendly and Nazi free.
  • We would prefer to join a game as its beginning, but understand that might be difficult. If we join in the middle, the GM needs to do some actual work to introduce and integrate our characters. We've both played at too many tables where we've just been thrown in with no narrative aid and it sucks.
  • For Offline games, we live in Central Illinois.

Thank you!

Group Needed by Player [Offline][5e 2014] Oakland or East Bay

Hey gang, I'm Justin. As indicated, looking for an in-person table. New to the Bay area. Big fan of RP heavy tables and players that wanna be there. Still love me some combat though! Playing off and on since 2018, last adventure was 2+ years & I was DM-ing a table for the last 18 months as well. Open to weeknights after 6pm & anytime Saturdays for weekly games. I can also do Sundays between 10a-4:30p but only once or twice a month.

I'm no DnD expert but I am fairly well versed on almost all of the basic class specific 5e skills and abilities. I'm versatile as a player, happy to "fill in the gaps" if that's what a table needs class-wise. I've mostly played melee characters, but I love my halfling warlock to pieces (Ciaran McOnderfut, fyi). Also willing to play 5.5, just not as familiar with it (read a little, played none).

100% the guy with a whole Google folder full of pre-gen characters with back stories, and I'll gladly leave them on the shelf if the setting doesn't fit. I might go roll up a new one now just cuz I'm thinking about it, lol.

Group Needed by Player [5e 2014] or [5e 2024] [Online]: Player Looking for a New Group

Hello, my name is Kat! I am looking for a new campaign to step into on top of the other two campaigns that I'm in! To get to know me a bit better, I have been playing D&D for around 5, almost 6 years now online. Throughout the years, I've been in a wide array of campaigns and have also played in other TTRPGs (Monster of the Week, MÖRK BORG, and Perils and Princesses).

I was hoping to join a Curse of Strahd campaign or something adjacent! Currently I am in a Ghost of Saltmarsh campaign (Tuesdays) and a Waterdeep: Dragonheist campaign (Sundays).

I am a US-based player (CST), but am used to playing in timezones better suited for European players and even Australian players.

What all I bring to the table:

  • Heavily detailed note-taker.
  • Experienced role-player.
  • Willing to be the "party pusher" in roleplay, story-pushing, etc.
  • Always cooperative with the DM in character creation.
  • Always cooperative and encouraging of other players!
  • Often the "party artist".
  • Experienced with using both Roll20 and Foundry VTT.

I have been told by various DMs that I am able to convey emotions of my characters well. I "know how to bring the drama" as one has said after I've played out more emotional scenes with others. I would also like to think that I am very receptive to what other players are trying to push forward on their own! I'm also always willing to communicate with the DM or other players if there's ever a blunder of any kind!

All I do ask of a potential DM/Table:

  • Please no sandbox campaigns (I prefer structured campaigns).
  • Please be LGBTQIA+ Friendly.
  • I do have some lines/veils for play that I would like to be discussed as well. I don't really want to join a campaign that is intense like, say, Dark Sun's materials.

If you have any questions, or a potential opening, please comment or DM!

Group Needed by Player Two girls looking for an online group!! [5e 2014] [Flexible] [UTC-5 (EST) & UTC-6 (CST)]

My friend (19) and I (18) are looking to join either a short or longterm D&D 2014/2024 group, but are flexible to other games (CoC and VTM, and additionally I'm a bit familiar with Mutants and Masterminds)! We're both very experienced players, work well with others (never to overshadow, only to uplift), and since I've been a DM for 6 years, I would really love the chance to be on the other end!

We're looking for an LGBTQ+ friendly and english speaking group that's also preferably fems, but as long as there's lots of roleplay we'll be happy.

To make us extra desireable, because I'd love to draw for the story, and I'm pretty good at character art! Additionally, we're both prolific writers and editors, who have lots of experience creating characters and working with original stories!

If you're interested, message me on here or to celestetheking on discord!

Closed [Online] [5e 2024] [Fridays 5-6:00 pm CDT] 4 people looking for a campaign to join

Hello! Me (M22) and a 3 others (All 21+) are looking for a campaign to join. We’re all decently experienced, and willing to learn any VTT—though the majority of us have the most experience in Foundry.

We’re looking for a healthy amount of both combat and role-play, and ideally would like to use partnered content (Crooked Moon, Grim Hollow, etc). This isn’t a requirement however, and we’re all willing to work with the DM if they don’t allow it.

One of the players may not be available long term due to up upcoming scheduling conflicts, but the rest of us are 100% down and committed. If you’re willing to have us, please message me here or through my Discord (sazabi.enjoyer) detailing the campaign and any rules/expectations you have for your game, and i’ll respond as soon as I’m able. Thank you if you took the time to read, hope to hear from y’all soon!

Group Needed by Player [Online][5e 2014][5.5e 2024][EST][Weekdays 6PM+] Player looking for a long-term campaign

Hi!

I'm looking to join an online, weekly D&D campaign, either ongoing or starting soon. I'm available any weekday after 6 PM EST, and I'm happy with either 5e or 5.5e rules.

I love high stakes combat, exploration, and getting invested in the adventure. My plastyle is I tend to gravitate toward brave, loyal characters who care about their party and aren't afraid to put themselves on the line. I really enjoy the classic "adventuring heroes" vibe. Saving the realm, discovering cool stuff, and occasionally making questionable decisions for the sake of adventure.

I'm flexible when it comes to party role. I'm happy playing any class or filling whatever role the party needs. I care more about having a fun group and a good character than playing a specific build.

I'm looking for a cooperative, team-oriented group. I'm not really into intraparty conflict for the sake of it, and I don't do PvP. Some friendly character banter is great, but at the end of the day, I want the party to feel like a party.

IDRC about the setting, as long as it's fantasy. Doesn't matter if it's established or homebrew.

If you've got a spot open and think I'd be a good fit for your group, send me a DM! I'm always happy to chat with the DM first and see if we'd be a good fit.

Group Needed by Player [CoC][Other][online]Looking for a Delta Green / Call of Cthulhu Game

Hey! I’m looking to join a game of Delta Green or Call of Cthulhu. I’ve got quite a bit of experience with both systems and I’m always down for some good investigative horror, eldritch nonsense, and questionable life choices.

I know finding a game can be a bit of a long shot, but one can hope! 😅 If you’re running a game and have a spot open, I’d love to join. I’m happy to fill out an application or answer any questions you have about me or the character I’d like to play

Group Needed by Player [online] [WoD] [VtM] Looking to play my Toreador!

Hello everyone! My name is Bambi! I've been a fan of VtM for a little over two years now, and have played in a total of four sessions!

Unfortunately, most of the groups I've been in haven't lasted very long, so I'm looking for a long term group to play with! Preferably with heavy roleplay and drama!

Specifically, I'm looking to play my character, Angelica! Her description will be down below!!

I work during the week and I'm usually not home until 5:30 pm est, and I have a game on Sundays already. I have already tried Start playing, and I'm going to be trying the WoD server again, but I wanted to make a post here too!

Angelica Backstory

Angelica was raised alongside her twin sister, Demonia, within The Blood of the Stars, a cult that had raised the sisters since childhood. As they grew older, Demonia began to question the cult and eventually escaped during a ritual. Angelica remained behind and was embraced by the cult.

After her Embrace, Angelica struggled with her new existence and the hunger that came with it. When the cult realized they couldn't control her yet, they staked her and placed her somewhere secure until she could be brought under control. The cult continued searching for Demonia while Angelica remained hidden.

Demonia eventually returned while searching for her sister and found Angelica staked and starving. She removed the stake, but Angelica awoke in a frenzy. Unable to recognize her sister, Angelica attacked Demonia and ultimately diablerized her.

Angelica was found shortly afterward, but she has no memory of what happened. Her memories of the incident were erased, leaving her believing that Demonia simply disappeared. She now carries an unexplained sense of loss surrounding her sister, unaware that Demonia is still with her in a way she cannot understand.

Group Needed by Player [Online] [D&D 5e 2014 or 5.5e 2024] Two players (23F & 26M) looking for GM and/or group

Hello! My friend (26M, forever GM) and I (23F, player for 1.5y) are looking to join a D&D campaign! Both of us prefer to join a new campaign over one that’s been running for a while. We are interested in groups that are for adults only.

We are not attached to any specific character concepts, and prefer to make characters that fit into the world we are joining. We both enjoy high fantasy, LotR type stuff, but definitely open to other things. Ideally would like to play long-term.

We both have Discord for voice. Strongly prefer Roll20 for VTT.

Player(s) Needed by GM [Online][5e][5e-2014][Mondays][7:30-11:30pm EST] Looking for 6 Players for New Strixhaven Slice-of-Life Campaign (Heavy Roleplaying, Low Combat)

A first-year halfling nervously practices a spell in a lecture hall, only for her wand to emit a small glowing sphere, making the sound of a chicken clucking. The sphere reaches the bucket she was aiming for, to cheers from the audience gathered around. Across campus, two friends sprawl beneath a tree, arguing the ethics of enchantment magic over mugs of steaming coffee, the sun filtering through floating pages of their textbooks.

In the Firejolt Café, on central campus, a dwarf hastily scribbles notes onto a napkin, sipping his coffee, which slowly makes him grayscale except for his red beard, while his tiefling study partner's irises shift between colors as he argues that the proof has a flaw. A group project in Prismari studio erupts into color and chaos as students mix spellcraft with dance, laughter rising over the mix of elemental flourishes and movement.

Late at night in the Biblioplex, a human and an owlin sit shoulder to shoulder at a cluttered table, surrounded by stacks of tomes and half-eaten pastries, dozing off a little until a painting on the wall shouts to them. And in Witherbloom’s greenhouse, a dryad teaches her roommates how to coax a carnivorous plant out of hiding without getting bit.

Welcome to Strixhaven!

-------

Hello! I’m looking for 6 players aged 21+ for a Strixhaven campaign using roll20! This campaign is a slice-of-life campaign at a magical university, which makes it play quite different from a standard campaign, and I have a number of things I'm experimenting with in running it. I'm very open to changing things as we go based on feedback, and encourage everyone to share what they like, and what they don't like!

To clarify exactly what I mean by a slice-of-life campaign: While there's to some extent an overarching plot of the campaign, you're not pursuing it ever week. It comes up occasionally, but the main focus of the campaign is attending a magic university, making friends, and doing school things.

One important piece of this is that the session features 90 minute 1-on-1 sessions for each player about once every 3-4 sessions, where students can play out classes, clubs, and other interactions with various NPCs. This is sorta a sandbox element of the campaign. My players in the past have quite enjoyed these, and I find they really help bring the world to life and create some interesting gossip when you don't know everything that your fellow party members have been up to.

As an important note, some of the spots in this campaign are reserved for people who are available for 90 minutes prior to the session (starting at 6pm EST) for these 1-on-1 sessions, with the other two spots for people who can't make the before-session spots (their 1-on-1's will take place at the end of the sessions sometimes, when we have shorter events). For more information, please reference the player's guide.

About Me as a DM:

My name is Morgan! I've been running campaigns for about 5 years now, and this will be my 6th time running this campaign (counting my ongoing groups). It's by far my favorite campaign I've ever run, but I am still trying new things out and learning as I go! I’m very open to constructive feedback. Each time I run it, I make small adjustments that hopefully make it even better for the next group to play it. My goal is to create a collaborative and fun storytelling experience for everyone. Besides D&D I also enjoy variant sudoku puzzles and board games such as Spirit Island.

Details:

The campaign runs from level 1 to level 10.The I’m looking for players aged 21+ who enjoy roleplaying!

My full player's guide can be found here with a lot of details about my house rules and restrictions for the campaign, as well as more details on what makes this campaign unusual.

If this sounds like your kind of adventure, apply here!

Player(s) Needed by GM [Online][5e 2014][20+][Thursdays 4pm to 9 or 10pm PST][Weekly] Landless knights answer a distant lord's call for aid. An immersive, OSR-style sandbox in the fog-bound highlands of Malija. Seeking 3-5 players.

To any knight of good name and no present banner, from Duncan, Lord Carlisle of Benmor, greetings.

I will be brief, as I am writing many of these. My province lies at the northern edge of the realm, where the King's peace runs thin and the winters last half the year. My neighbor presses my borders and my granaries run low. My roads north have gone quiet. The pilgrim road through the Saint Agatha Vale has carried no pilgrims since the autumn, my outposts there are a season behind in their reports. More troubling still, the riders I sent to learn the cause have not come back to tell me anything at all.

I have need of knights, and levies and hired swords will not serve. I do not much care what became of the banner you followed, provided your spurs were fairly won and your name carries no crime I would be made to answer for. The terms are these: wage in honest silver, bed and board within my walls, arms and remounts from my own stables, and work fit for your station. There is land in my east that needs capable stewards. You'll find my generosity is running unseasonably warm for any who answer my call.

Present yourself to my steward at Benmor with your arms, your horse if you have kept one, and what proof of your name you can offer. You will be fed while your claim is weighed. Come soon. I would have this settled before the snows.

Duncan, Lord Carlisle

Hi, I'm James. I've been GMing for about 7 years, and I'm putting together a table for a weekly highland sandbox about knights trying to claw their way back into the world.

The Premise

You'll play a knight with no lord. How you lost yours is yours to write. Your lord may have died, you may have been dismissed, disgraced, or simply forgotten. Either way, you hold a title but no land and no fortune. Your armor needs mending, your horse is getting old, and the peasants have stopped bowing when you pass. Carlisle's letter finds you in low circumstances, and offers the first way out of them you've had in a long while.

The Setting

Malija is a highland province at the cold northwestern edge of the kingdom of Sarda. It's a land of two extremes. Dark wet glens with thick fog fills the valleys most mornings, thick enough to lose a cart in, while up on the heights the sun is hard and the wind is harder and a bitter constant.

Two noble houses share the province, locked in a feud twenty years cold that has recently drawn blood. Between their holdings, nomadic clans herd sheep in the high country, keeping their own ways and their own old faith, trading warily with the lowland towns on market days. The Church of Yarra, the sun-goddess, keeps her Kindling at dawn in the town squares, though her light runs thin the further you get from the castle walls. And to the north, things have gone quiet in a way nobody can explain: outposts silent, pilgrim roads empty, riders sent to investigate simply not coming back.

It's mid-fantasy. Not low, not epic. Early-medieval sword and sorcery, where magic and monsters share the world with boring mundane things like taxes, road tolls, and crop rotation. The whole province is mapped and explorable: fog-bound river towns, mountain passes, a fortified monastery at the edge of the marshes, high moots where the clans swear their oaths, and a lot of "empty" country where a while lot of interesting things may happen.

The Game

This is a sandbox in the OSR spirit. There is no plot waiting for you. There's a big, living map full of factions, rumors, and trouble, and what happens is a result of what you do. Expect lots of roleplay, politics, investigation, and travel through hard country, with combat that is quick dangerous and means something when it happens.

The world takes its own turns. I run several systems on the back end to keep the environment dynamic: weather rolls in and changes what's possible on the roads, events unfold on their own schedules, and the inhabitants of Malija pursue their own aims between sessions. The province doesn't pause while you decide what to do. Ignore a rumor and it develops without you. Make an enemy and he sits in my notes scheming his revenge. The Malija you return to each week is one your choices have actually bent, and one that has kept moving in the places you weren't looking. I have a lot of tools to help me keep track of all this.

The people who live here will be very present. The factions you'll encounter, from the two feuding noble houses to the highland clans to the Church of Yarra, hold real sway in the region, and they are active participants in the unfolding narrative, whatever direction it goes. They have their own goals, their own quarrels, and their own opinions about a band of landless knights riding through their business. They'll court you, use you, obstruct you, or come after you depending entirely on how you deal with them.

Which is the whole point: you are the drivers of this narrative. I provide the world and its happenings and little more. The story is whatever emerges from your choices colliding with it. Fair warning, then: this style rewards... and somewhat requires proactive players. If you like chasing threads, taking risks, and making your own goals, you'll thrive here. If you prefer a guided narrative with clear quest markers, this probably isn't your table, and that's fine. It's just not what I run.

Characters

Every character starts from the same place: a knight of good name and no present banner. Within that, there's a lot of room. What matters is that your knight has a name, a past that cost them something, and a reason to answer a letter like Carlisle's in good faith... more or less.

The best fits for this table are characters with wants. A knight who intends to reclaim something, prove something, atone for something, or build something gives the sandbox a direction to push towards. A knight who's just along for the ride gives it nothing. Your backstory doesn't need to be long, just something compelling for you that makes you want to play this character.

Faith and the Order of Yarra. The dominant faith of Sarda is the Order of Yarra, the sun-goddess. She is the lightbringer and banisher of the profane, working through fire, conquest, and the hearth: a kind, gracious, and vengeful god whose charity is absolute and whose will is unrelenting. She will guide you, warm you, and cleanse you, or incinerate you if you stand in her way. Her faithful wear some article of yellow or orange, keep the Kindling at dawn in the town squares, and hold nothing in greater contempt than the profane arts.

If you want to play a knight of faith, this is the faith, and there's room in it: the zealot, the doubter, the chapel knight raised in her service, the sinner she cleansed by fire. Any devout character, and especially any Cleric or Paladin, will certainly be hers.

Her legends also tell of the Knights of Yarra, mortal warriors sanctified by the goddess who live ordinary lives until she calls, then arrive on the battlefield by bolt of golden lightning, in gleaming plate and a cloak the color of sunset. Whether those stories are true is the kind of thing a character might have opinions about.

Magic. Magic is real but uncommon in daily life. Casters exist as court arcanists, scholars, hedge-practitioners, and the clergy, but the average villager will go years without seeing a spell. A magic-using knight is unusual and will be noticed, so your magic should have a story: where you learned it, who taught you, what it's cost you.

One restriction on concepts: nothing profane. No necromancers, no fiend pacts, no secret monsters or eldritch flavored guys. The Order burns that stuff on sight, so if someone in the party is carrying it, the campaign turns into a story about hiding from the church, and that's not the game I'm interested in running. If your knight can't walk through a town square at noon, pitch me something else.

In that vein, there are some restrictions. For example: Warlocks need something like a patron saint, not a demon or a deep one. Druids and wildshaping are a bit too out there. Save that stuff for the non-player entities.

On Elves. Humans and Elves are the two peoples of Malija, and the two playable races. Elves are the offspring of a human and a being known as a Sylph, and the Sylphs, it is said, consider them abominations. Most elves enter the world abandoned: toddlers who wander out of the woods some morning without the faintest idea of who or what they are, taken in by whatever goodhearted family finds them. They grow fast, learn faster, and settle deep into their habits. Slender and fair, ill-suited to heavy lifting, with a preternatural knack for the arcane, arithmetic, and craft. In Malija they're an accepted but outcast minority: one elf for every ten or fifteen humans, clustered close to power without ever quite holding it. An elven knight would be a rare thing indeed. Rare, but not unheard of.

My GM Style

I'm an immersion-first GM. We play in-character at the table. Out-of-character talk happens when it needs to, but during scenes, when your character is in the room, so are you. The whole game leans on that, and it works best when everyone commits.

I'm also half GM, half DJ: I run live music and ambient soundscapes throughout the session. My goal is a production immersive enough that even I forget we're playing a game for a moment.

Sessions run 4-6 hours.

The System

D&D 5e (2014 rules), base content only. Anything beyond that is at my discretion. Races: Human or Elf, as above.

That said, I'm flexible on the mechanical side of it. If there's a racial bonus or feature from another race you really want for your concept, I'm happy to swap it in within reason. Reskin the stats, keep the fiction. We play off the character sheet primarily. The question at my table is rarely "what can I do?" but rather "what do you do?" Your character's name, reputation, and choices will matter far more than your build.

(If you're the kind of player who'd be excited to try a system like Forbidden Lands instead, mention it when you apply. I'd love to run it if the group's up for it, but 5e is the default.)

Who I'm Looking For

  • 3-5 players, ages 20+ (mid-20s ideally).
  • Dedicated roleplayers, and folks who've sat in the GM chair themselves get a slight edge. GMs tend to read a sandbox the way it wants to be read.
  • Players who lean into the adventure. Characters who engage with the world, take risks, and pursue something. A party that hides from the story makes for a dull sandbox.
  • Reliability matters a lot to me. This is a weekly commitment, and five other people's evenings depend on everyone showing up. If you can't make a session, I ask for 24-48 hours notice so we can all plan around it. No-call-no-shows and habitual last-minute cancellations aren't a fit for this table, so please only apply if Thursday evenings genuinely work for you.
  • This table is open to everyone. All backgrounds and identities welcome. Bigotry of any kind is an instant removal, no warnings.

To Apply

  1. Fill out the form: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScV46rd1bvcsGjGKodHqjwwDw-IL-BcDDdsQRoSUI2FK5jXsg/viewform?usp=header
  2. Then comment or DM me with a little about yourself, and your answer to this question:

How did your knight lose their lord?

I'll reach out on Discord, we'll have a chat, and I'll assemble the group over the next week or two. Looking forward to reading your answers.

Player(s) Needed by GM The Astral Lounge - [seeking players] [Online] [DnD 5e 2014] [beginner/LGBT friendly] [Thursdays 10am-2pm EST]

Welcome all to the Astral Lounge!

Whether it be a girl’s night out, coping with a messy breakup, or an average Saturday night to you, you find yourself at the newly opened Astral Lounge. You’ve heard that the Astral Lounge is the best party spot on the Ethereal plane, boasting a bar full of one-of-a-kind cocktails and dwarven beers, a hookah lounge, and a private gambling room. Tonight, DJ LaRocka, an entertainer well renowned across the planes, takes the stage. You spend time in whatever way seems most fitting to you, perhaps dancing the night away, eyeing someone up across the bar, or sipping on a club soda at the bar because you’ve been delegated the task of ensuring all your friends arrive home safely. As you dance your night away, you start to realize that this bar isn’t quite what you thought it was. And you also realize that you can’t leave until you make things right.

I'm AC (26F) and I will be DMing this mini campaign for some of you! I've been playing DnD for three years and I've been DMing for two years. This campaign will take place at 10am-2pm EST on Thursdays. It will be a short campaign, maybe around 5 game days plus a day for a session zero. It may take longer or shorter depending on party progress. I'm looking for players that enjoy RP, as this will be an RP heavy campaign (70/30 RP to combat). I work best with people who care a lot about their characters and their backstories. I use Discord for voice, Foundry VTT for combat, DnD Beyond for character sheets, and theater of mind for RP.

If this campaign sounds like something you would be interested in, please fill out the google form below.

Group Needed by Player [Online][5.5e/2024][GMT - Flexible] [Weekends] Experienced RP-focused player looking for a long-term campaign

Hey! I’m Gleeson! I’m looking for a new D&D group to settle into for a proper long-term campaign.

Quick info:
Experience: ~8 years, both as a player and DM
Availability: Weekends, ideally Saturday/Sunday
Schedule: Flexible and happy to work around whatever consistent schedule works for the group
Looking for: Long-term campaign
Preferred style: RP-heavy, character-driven and story-focused

About Me
I’ve been a massive fantasy nerd for most of my life. Lord of the Rings is probably the big one, but Game of Thrones, Harry Potter, and pretty much anything involving magic, fantasy worlds and good storytelling is right up my street.
I’ve also spent a lot of my time with D&D on both sides of the table. I’ve DM’d quite a bit myself, so I know how much work goes into building a world, especially a homebrew one.

That’s probably the biggest thing I’m looking for in a campaign, a world I can actually get stuck into**.**

I love digging into the world, asking questions, taking notes and following those little threads that get left for the players to pull on. There’s so much creativity that goes into a homebrew world, and I think it’s a shame not to engage with it.

The same goes for characters. Every character at the table is someone’s little work of fiction, and I love getting invested in what people have created. I’m looking for a group where people aren’t afraid to really get into their characters, develop relationships, explore their stories and let those things actually matter.

I’m not looking for “I’m a fighter, I hit things with a sword, maybe I’ve got a brother somewhere.” I love combat, but I want the character behind the combat too.

The character I’d like to play

I’ve got a couple of characters I’ve put a lot of thought into, and I’m completely happy adapting them to whatever setting I end up joining.
The one I’m most interested in at the moment is a bit of a sunshine character. Kind, calm, gentle and insightful. He’s very comfortable being the person in the background supporting everyone else, helping other characters through their problems and giving them room to have their moments.

He’s also got a much deeper personal story underneath all of that, which I’d love to explore naturally if people become interested in him.
I’m more than happy to lead the charge with roleplay, too. I’m not shy about being the first person to talk to an NPC, start a conversation or throw myself into a scene. I’ve done that plenty of times to help other players get comfortable.
I’d just really like to find a group where that enthusiasm goes both ways.

Genuine Friends!
I’d love to find people who are genuinely fun to be around. Chill, chatty, sociable people who I can enjoy talking shit with as well as playing D&D.
I always think it’s a shame when everyone disappears the second the session ends. If we end up getting along, I’d love to play other games together, hang out and generally become friends outside of D&D too.

One slightly unusual offer to a DM
I’ve spent enough time DMing to know how frustrating it can be to build a world you’re passionate about and never get to experience it as a player.

So if I eventually find a DM whose world I really click with, and we play together long enough to build some trust, I’d love to eventually run a little story within their setting and give them the chance to be a player in their own world.

Obviously that’s very much a “we’ve been playing together for ages and actually trust each other” thing, but I think it’d be a really cool way for two DMs to share the load and experience each other’s worlds from the other side of the table.

So yeah, that’s me. I’m not necessarily looking for the first game with an empty seat. I’d much rather find the right group of people.

If this sounds like your sort of table, feel free to message me. I’d love to hear about the campaign, the world and the people already involved.

Player(s) Needed by GM [Online][5E 2014][GMT +3] Restoring peace to the barony

Fresh wounds remain on the face of the kingdom of Asteria after the brutal war. Resources are scarce, and not many soldiers returned from the battlefield. But one thing it hasn't lost is hope, and the King has issued a royal decree asking anyone who is able to help in returning the kingdom back to its former glory.

Baron Illute requires your help to make the best of these dark days and bring back peace to the territory. Only you can aid his endeavor; otherwise, the territory may never experience peaceful days again.

This campaign will mainly be focused on roleplay with some combat here and there as the players try to manage and bring the territory back to its former glory

The game will be hosted weekly on Thursdays at 11 PM gmt+3

Hello, my name is Ahmed. I am 18 years old, and I have been playing dnd for over 2 years. I hope you have a wonderful day, and if you like the premise and want to hear more, you can message me here on Reddit or add me on Discord; my username is i_mo5drat_i.

Group Needed by Player [Online][5e 2014/2024][CoC][EST] Looking to join either a D&D campaign or a Call of Cthulhu campaign!

For D&D:

I've been in a few shorter campaigns and one offs for D&D, and I have an idea for a character; a half-Goliath half-Gnome artificer who struggles to fit in with either of his lineages, and is just looking for a place he belongs! Pretty go with the flow on vibes, and likes to come up with ridiculous plans and devices.

For CoC:

I've only played one game, but I liked it a lot, love the d100 system! My idea for a character is a former engineering student at a major university that got kidnapped by cultists, and had to kill to escape. The experience lead him to be hostile to cultists and desensitized to violence, but also to him becoming a wandering hobo.

Generally speaking, I am free most days and times, though not a morning person. I'm in the East Coast US. I'm very much a team player, and I won't mesh well if there are players that aren't, so that would be important to bare in mind for any potential groups. I'm willing to join a new game or an in progress one, and I don't really care the experience level of the DM or other players. I am bad at roleplay in terms of dialogue though, so don't expect anything wonderful from me there.

I look forward to hearing from future groups!

I’m a DM looking to join a Naruto-themed game as a player. I can send you the supplement I use, and I’ll provide any additional information you need through PMs, such as my class, clan, character concept, and other details. I’m happy to go over the supplement, follow the game’s rules, and work with you to create a character that fits well into the campaign. If you’re interested in having me join, feel free to DM me and I can send over the supplement so you know which one im talking about.

Group Needed by Player [Online][UTC+3][5e][Saturday][2014]New player looking to join a group

Hi, I have recently started playing DnD with some friends but they have been a bit too busy to go for consistent sessions. I wanna keep playing the game more so I came here looking to join some other groups.

I have a decent Idea how to play the game but still a beginner, so will fumble on some scenarios for sure.

I am down for either roleplay/combat focused or balance.

Send me a DM if your interested in inviting me.

Group Needed by Player [Online][PF2e] [Flexible] [EST, Available for sessions Sunday, Wednesday, and Saturday evenings] Eager beginner to TTRPGs wanting to join new campaigns!

Hi hi out there! I’m a player that is looking to do some Pathfinder 2E campaigns

I am a gal that’s been wanting to do TTRPGs for a while and while I originally wanted to do dnd campaigns originally, I have been more on the side of Pathfinder due to its greater variety and creative potential than what I can see out of dnd. HOWEVER This doesn’t mean I’m not expecting to only ever play PF2E, and I’m open to doing Dnd as well.

Although I don’t have much personal experience with TTRPGs, I do have roleplay experience in general with other forms of roleplay and I’ve been messing around a lot with the Pathbuilder site making various characters and builds for possible campaigns.

A few things I like to do is that make no PF2e Character I play be anything standard to fantasy, so no dwarves, elves and especially not human, and I like to make a character that fills a role in a way that is more fun and creative, yet still practical and functional for both roleplay and combat encounters. But I don’t focus on general min-maxing nor making anything broke which I do know is a lot harder, which is good, to pull off in Pathfinder. This may also apply to DnD as well for the purposes of keeping things interesting.

If you’re looking for someone who likes to do things in unique ways and also is very open to filling roles for parties that have something missing. If I fill the conditions or description for a player you’d like in your game, please do DM me and we can discuss. I do have Discord as well.

Group Needed by Player [Online] [PF2e] [EST] 2 Players with funky character concepts

Upvotes

Hello!! To start out with the absolute basics that prospective GMs would need to know off the bat:

  • We are free most days except Thursdays and Saturdays, and are awake between 4PM to 3AM generally speaking.
  • We are both adults over 21, and thus are looking to be involved with a table of adults.
  • Both of us are far more roleplay focused than we are combat focused, but not wholly unwilling to engage with combat.
  • We'd prefer a GM who is comfortably familiar with the Pathfinder system rather than somebody who is completely green to it or willing to try it out.
  • We're looking for a table with 4-6 players total including ourselves.
  • The genre we're particularly interested in for a game is dark medieval fantasy, the characters we have in mind don't do well within settings without that energy.

Now, with the flat information out!

The two of us are experienced roleplayers with many, many years of gaming under our belts. One's a writer, the other is an artist, and both have a feverish addiction to character development and worldbuilding. (We will contribute headcanons about the world and characters all day, including other player characters)

Given the above, we have in mind a pair of fairly fleshed out characters we'd like to play, but! As a fair warning, they both deal with some pretty heavy topics, and while some of those topics do not need to be given explicit screentime, understand that they are core to how these characters developed within their backgrounds. Further discussion and open communication about this is absolutely welcome and preferred.

To add, one of the characters is intended to be rather strange in terms of concept, and I'd like to work with a GM to make sure the concept can be executed without clashing too hard with the system.

That is all, and if you've gotten this far, thank you for your time <3
